Cooling Stand

Hi there folks,

what is this talk of a cooling stand? I've never heard of a cooling stand. Could you tell my what its about please?

Cheers

As to whether it's worth it or not, thats up to you. If you do get a faulty wii, nintendo will replace it for free so there's no worries about not having one that works right eventually. I have noticed that while in standby mode mine gets pretty warm, and laying it on its side does help the cooling during gameplay. That is, unless you have a cooling stand. I have noticed that the majority of users do not have problems, it only seems that way since those with problems are more likely to come to the forums. As for waiting for a later gen wii, i don't see what they couldn't fix through Wiiconnect24[/QUOTE]

my wii remotes won't work (neither of them - i have 2). when i push any button on them the wii wont respond it just flashes down the bottom (the 4 lights). i've tried resyncing them numerous times but still they won't work. i've also tried taking the batteries out. The controls are only a week old.

I had the exact same problem the other day with my Wii remote. It was working fine one minute and then the next minute when you push any button on remote, wii doesn't respond and remote just flashes the lights. Resynching didn't work but I turned Wii off for a few minutes by pressing the power button on the Wii console and restarted half hour later and then it started working. Weird!!

Is this a problem?

Hello, my wii makes alot of noise in the disc loading area while I'm playing a game both gamecube and red steel. Is that normal? Plus I'm occasionally getting the black screen telling me to eject my disc and turn off the console. What's the heck is wrong? Does anyone know? PLease reply

Thanks.

Help!!!!

Well I was on the Wii homepage when my remote stopped working. I pressed a button and the four lights on the bottem started blinking. I took out the batteries and place new ones in and I "spanked" it lightly. I don't abuse the remote in any way. There's no cursor on the screen and my remote keeps doing the same thing... I need help!!! Any ideas what i should do? Oh yeah, I did try synching it and only did the same thing.....

Re 4 little blinking blue lights on wiimote - Had this the day I bought it - but switched off power to Wii for a few minutes (as suggested by forum) - switched on and the problem never occurred again - worth a try.

here's the remedy for the blinking light syndrome:
turn off your wii, wait a few secs then turn it on. At the part with the warning, DON'T press "A". Hit the red sync button onthe remote and then the red sync button on the wii inside where the memory card is.

this does seem like a problem most people do have. I would suggest just hard booting everything. It'll only take a minute of your time.

hmmm, im at the firewall right now.....and it wont settle with a simple "disable", it wants me to state the name, source IP range start, source IP range end, Destination IP range start, Destination IP range end. any ideas what this means?

Do you still need help with this? I know exactly what to do, but if you have it figured out, don't want to bother typing it all out for nothing.

I was having a similar problem, so I turned the firewall off... however, the update remains stuck at about 5 to 10% complete. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
