Wii Troubleshooting

This happened to me yesterday. I was fooling around on the wii menu and the remote suddenly stopped working. Resynching and replacing batteries yeild no results. All four lights just flash and flash as if taunting me. Please let me know if you got any information to solve your problem...

Oh, and I have two remotes, and they both do the same thing, so it is not an issue of one faulty remote, either, further I dont use rechargable batteries in the first place.

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

well i tried the batteries and everthing and it didnt work. So I resynced them and unplugged it completly for about 2 days I went back to it and it worked. From now on when you turn it off make sure its not a green or orangeish light but make sure its red. *i have to unplug it everyime*

Error

I purchased a Wii about 5 months ago (actually I'm typing this on it right now) Recently when I try to play a Gamecube game on it, it randomly gives me an error message and forces me to turn off the power. Our gamecube does the same thing but it is much older. Can anyone help me as to why it is doing this?

Disc Error

WHY DOES "UNABLE TO READ DISC" MESSAGE APPEAR EVEN AFTER GAMES HAVE LOADED UP? "Wii SPORTS" AND "WARIO SMOOTH MOVES" DO PLAY, HOWEVER. I HAVE TRIED THE SOLUTIONS IN THE MANUAL BUT NO LUCK.

I just got my Wii this past Saturday and have been getting that "could not read disc" message as well. I thought it was because I modded my Wii but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is anyone else experiencing longer than expected loading times as well?

I got a wii about one weeke ago and all was fine until now. Whenever im playing a game a message will appear saying that the wii remote has lost connection with the console and the player lights on the remote go off. Can anyone help me?

Hey, I'm starting to have problems with my Nintendo Wii and it's beginning to send me off the edge. If anyone could help me, that would be great . All right, here are the problems with my Wii:

1.) The power button is lit on green, but there is no video or audio. All the plugs are in the correct position, you can hear the cooling fan run pretty well, and the discs slide in, and eject. But there is still no video or audio.

2.) This problem evolved from problem number one. The power button is still lit to green, but there are no video and audio, the cooling fan stopped running, and there's a disc jammed inside the DVD tray.

Please, if there is anyone who can help me with this problem, it would be most awesomeness. If not, then I guess the warranty will help.

Won't Turn On.

Has anyone had problems with their Wii not responding to anything? Mine won't turn on manually or through the "Wiimote". The small LED light isn't green or red. It's completely off and it won't turn on. I had this problem with my Gamecube a long time ago but at least with my Gamecube, LOZ: TP wasn't trapped inside along with my game data. I contacted Nintendo, but they have yet to email me back.

Contacting Nintendo with email won't do too much good, I suggest calling the help line.
Nintendo ususally doesn't even look at the email and sends you an automatic response with all these troubleshooting possibilities.

The number is: 1-800-255-3700
It's a 1-800 number so don;t worry about paying long distance
if they can't help you I suggest returning your wii for a new at no extra cost

Rep me if i'm helpful :D

Thanks for the number. They've been pretty good with emailing me back in the past, but I don't have time to wait. Well, I do, but I feel like this is an unecessary problem. Thanks.

every time you switch to a channel, menu, or game, you have to re-sync the second, third and fourth wiimote. if it just doesn't work, try sync-ing the second wiimote manually without connecting the first wiimote, in other words, make the second wiimote, the first one, number one, to see if it is the wiimote or the wii.
