Wii Shoping points ERROR CODE 208002

From what nintendo's customer service has told me when i called them up inquiring about the code 208002 was that you have set your nintendo to be in another country and when you go to purchase you wii points nintendo thinks you are useing a international credit card and a fraud is about to happen when in my case this is untrue.

the only problem now i face is that my machine is infact set to australia and still getting the error code.... and i now have to wait until 3/1/07 until the right guy come's back from holidays :(

if anyone knows how to factory reset the wii or any other idea's im all ears!

I cant believe that.. Well I haven't set my Wii to any other country than the one I'm in (Australia) if they cant deal with that then they're gonna be losing some serious money - like everyone that rushed out to buy a Wii and wants to purchase some Wii points only to have it fail :(

NOT HAPPY NINTENDO, We may be an ex British penal colony but we aren't all criminals!

I hope somebody loses their job over this screwup, hasn't worked for nearly a week :(

I have 200 points left from the first and only transaction that I got to work, not enough to buy anything from the shop. Blah!

Error 51330 with routeur Belkin 7632

Hello
I've the error 51330 when my Wii try to establish connection to internet. I've try all the solutions posted on the net (change channels, mixed mode, Mac adress enter, disable firewall of the routeur, wap, wep 64bits, wep 128 bits, ...). The only way is to disable the security of the routeur (so no wep or no wap) and then it can connect. That's what I do now just time to connect to see if there are updates, but I don't like to stay too long without protection and my laptop doens't connect good on an unsecure connection so is somenone has an idea, it's welcome. I've one PC, one laptop and the Wii on the wireless routeur.
Thanks
France

error code 52230

i have a wireless rca dcw725 router. i went to internet explorer (192.168.0.1)
and disabled my firewall. it works fine now.
does anyone know if it is ok to keep the firewall off or should i change the
setting each time i go off/on-line with wii(pain in the butt).

Hi there Chris. I cant see where to download the driver on this site anywhere!!! Why aren't things ever easy.

Chris

I am getting an error 54020. I am using the USB wifi connector with internet hook up wired directly to my PC, no router. Windows firewall off. NAV off. downloaded what are supposed to be the 1.4 drivers, but when I check the version information by right clicking the wifi logo it says 1.0.0.33. software installs fine. The wifi utility detects my wii and I allow it permission. Then, when I test the connection I get the error.
any help would be apreciated.

EDIT
Ok, when I said Norton Anti-Virus off what I meant was that i ran msconfig and disabled it in the startup so it would not run after I restarted the comp. Aparantly that wasnt good enough. What I needed to do was to uninstall NAV completely off my PC. It seems to be working now. However now, I do not have an anti-virus program on my PC at all.
Can someone let me know what anti-virus software they use that is compatible with my setup?
Thanks

Ive seen reports of Aussies, some UK'rs and now yourself in New Zealand having the same issue with online credit card Wii point purchasing..

If its not sorted out tonight im gonna call Nintendo and ask for a "Please Explain"

I could go into EB Games and buy a card, but why should I have to if the systems in place to take the payment online?!

Edit: Just tried a Wii Points purchase via my Visa card again, still same error :mad5:

Nearly a week Nintendo.. We want to use this new technology you've sold us but it wont let us buy anything!! :frown2:

Hi all am from Melbourne Australia and trying to connect my wii to the internet wirelessly using Apple Express. I have tried everything that I have read from many forums and still wont work. Anyone with any ideas?

Ok, so I bought the unofficial adapter, and it seems to work fine. My Wii recognizes it right away, however I can't connect. Error code 51420. I've got my cable internet running straight into my computer, and my Wii wired to a second NIC, with ICS turned on (same config my Xbox and Xbox 360 would use). Am I doing something wrong? Or should I be using a standard ethernet cable rather than a crossover?

Absolutely solve for connection problem...

Possible fix for some.

I was having problems connecting (error 51331 and maybe one or two other errors as I kept changing settings) with my Wii and my Westell router.

I did the following to fix the problem:

1 - Turn encryption off (temporarily)
2 - Create a new connection in the Wii to access the non-encrypted router
3 - Let the console get all available updates.
4 - Turn encryption back on, and set the connection up again

it worked after that! If you are using encryption - try turning yours of temporarily while the Wii gets updates. One of them fixed my problem - it may fix yours!

But, can I just add this:

I use AES-PSK with a huge 64 digit Key (password), but the password box on the Wii will only allow me to use 63 digits.! Well, after doing the suggestion of disabling encryption and updating by DARKFENCER, I've re-enabled the AES-PSK protection and set the Key to 63 digits (easy way to solve another problem) and it all now works!

Thanks DarkFencer!

I hope this works for others too.!

EDIT: I forgot to tell you that I'm using a Buffalo AirStation Turbo G (model: WHR-G54S)
I use-
AES-PSK 63 digit Key (NOT AES-PSK 2..!)
Channel 1
11b (11M) - WiFi

... Working Fine!

Never mind I got it. As a matter of fact I'm using my Wii to post this.

Hello, i just got my Wii for Christmas I'm not too sure how to connect to the internet. I HAVE NEVER ONCE BEEN ONLINE YET! I have a Verizon DSL with a Westell modem. Before, the only time my Wii would acctually detect my wireless connection was when I turned on my computer. When it detected it I got a 5220 error message or something (I don't remember). I downloaded what was on the link you put up and now my Wii doesn't even pick up my wireless connection. I made sure any firewalls were turned off and I don't have a WEP key, but still, nothing. I don't know if I'm being ignorant or if my Wii is broken, but please help. If you can't then thank you anyway and please direct me to someone who may be able to fix my problem.
