Connection Help

Error Codes

The only way I could get mine to connect was to disable the security on the router. I tryed changing from a wpa to a wep connection and it would not connect. The only way was to disable the security on the router. My router is a wrt54g4

I haven't got a router all I got is a wii, a laptop with broadband internet and the wi-fi connector. Is that why tis not workingness???:scared:

Error Code: 208002
The address you've entered is incorrect.

Please verify the information and try again.

I get the above when trying to purchase Wii Points through the Shop channel.
Just tonight though, worked fine last night...

Internet is working fine, can browse wherever I like with the Internet channel on the Wii..

Edit: I should also note that the above error appears after entering my Visa card information.
Edit #2: Tried rebooting my Wireless Router and the Wii, same error.. server must be down somewhere..

Well, it is working now. I wish I knew why! I did a hard reset to factory settings (using the button on the back of the router) as opposed to doing it via the browser-based tool. I got it to connection test ok after that, but I got a 32004 error when it tried to download the update. I changed the router's channel from 1 to 11 and then it worked. Weird.

I am getting the same error code. Which router do you have? I have Netgear WGR614v5. My original firmware was 1.0.3. Upgraded to 1.0.7. Still no luck. I tried to do the following but still no luck (connection test always passed from the first day on, but fails to download the update with error 32004) -
- Disabled encryption and authenticatioin at the router
- Tried both channels 11 and 1
- Hard reset the router

Any other ideas? Anybody? Appreciate the help.

ERROR CODE 51340

I got this error code when I first went to hook up my USB WI FI connector. I had the connector hooked into the rear USB port. I then moved the connector into the front USB port and it worked!! I don't know if this is a solution, or not...but it may be as simple as just moving the WI FI connector.

Greetings from Sydney Australia, from a first-time Wii Shop point buyer.

After entering my credit card details (type, number, expiry, security code) I keep getting the error message

"Error Code: 208002
The address you've entered is incorrect.
Please verify the information and try again"

Only problem is, I haven't entered any address details anywhere AFAIK. It's as if a screen is "missing" somewhere in the credit card processing.

Just tried telephoning (12.30pm 31Dec06) Nintendo Australia support and get an annoying message stating their Mon-Fri office hours. Where are you when a consumer need assistance? Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Any help would be appreciated.

Glad to see I'm not the only Aussie having this problem :)

Hey, do I need to put in my DNS code? I have my SSID (4f11), my IP adress (192.168.0.13), and my subnet mask (255.255.255.0). Anything else!?

Hi, I'm getting a weird error code. Error code 209576. When I go to the nintendo support site and type in the error code, it tells me that the page is in Spanish, but doesn't have the English page. I'm connected with a wireless router and on Windows XP. I've gotten into the Online Store before, so I don't know what the deal is with it. Any information would be appreciated.

Been a couple days now and the Wii Shop Channel still doesnt work for credit card Wii points purchases..

Guess Nintendo dont want the money..

Interestingly enough, got an Error 32004 when i tried to run the Wii System Update just now..

Internet channels still working fine, and the Shop channel does connect to the shopping portal but it just wont let you purchase any points via Visa card.

Edit: Just repeated the Wii System Update and succeded in telling me that the Wii is already up to date, so I guess the Shopping channel is broken :(

Have you had any luck with your rpoblem. I am having the same error message come up. Really annoying me.

I just got a the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. I disabled both my Firewall (just good ol' Windows Firewall) and anti-virus software (Symantec) and installed the program. I have it hook up to a rear USB 2.0 port through the extender cable that came with it. It installed fine, and I went though the process on the wii.

I granted permission on the PC for my Wii (named Dillard, not sure why I decided to name it that, but It showed up that on the PC so I know the two are communicating) and went to test connection, and I get an error message and code of:

Error Code 51040
Unable to find an access point. Please confirm SSID and try again. Visit.... (etc).

The connector status LED flashes green, so I know its communicating, I just am not sure what i up with it.

After this happened I disconnected and reconnected to the internet, and tried to resetup the connection on the wii again. This time I got a different error message and code:

Error Code: 51340
Unable to connect to the Internet.
Choose Internet settings and then confirm your connection. Visit (etc)

For my internet connection I use a Sprint PCS phone through a USB cable. It is roughly the same speed as a slow DSL connection. Not dial-up by any means but does technically go through a dial-up connection. The dial-up connection is set to be shared with the LAN connection created by the USB Wi-Fii connector, and this set up has worked fine with a standard Ethernet cable hooked up to my Xbox 360 for XBX live access, so this one is confusing the hell outta me.

TIA for any help.

***EDIT***
Behold the magic of searching + google. Wish i had done this before I posted, but maybe I this info will help someone else out.

I doownloaded a newer (much newer) version of the driver for the connector from the Nintendo website, and it worked flawlessly after that. Here is the a ddy to download it from:

http://www.nintendowifi.com/consumerservice/showTopic.do?topicId=ConHelp_Download_Drivers&catId=USB

Just unstall your old drivers, remove the connector, reboot your computer, install the new drivers, and your good.

:D
