I edited the team. I can give Nidoking Sheer Force if you'd like, and Stunfisk Sand Veil. I imagine Sandstorm will really help this team out, being all ground and all.
Yeah that would be good, since they are all ground I can only benefit from it.

Actually Barboach is doing pretty well, lets see how good he is when he evolves

Anyway, time for a Challenge Update:

Started the game and chose Snivy as my starter (Not that it matters) and beat Cheren and Bianca. Finished talking to the professor and moved through Route 1. When I got to Accumula Town I listened to Ghetsis' speech and beat N without any trouble. Then I moved on to Route 2 and beat all the trainers and Bianca before entering Striaton City. I went to the school and battled Cheren. Afterwards I went to the Dreamyard to get a panpour and used him to beat Chili's Pansear and to get the Trio Badge.
Upon exiting the gym I met Fennel who tells me to go her Dream Mist from the Dreamyard, and she also gave me Cut. I taught Panpour Cut and go into the Dreamyard with Bianca to fight the Plasma Grunts. Then Fennel shows up and gets her precious Dream Mist. When we get back to her house she gives me the C-Gear and Amanita finally gives me my Pal Pad.

Now the challenge actually begins. I got my eggs and leveled them up a bit in Dreamyard when they finally hatched. I moved on to Route 3 and destroyed Cheren's Tepig with Barboach and used Mud Shot on Purloin. Then Team Plasma run past me and Cheren and into Wellspring Cave to get the little girl's Pokemon back. Cheren and I team up to beat the Grunts and head back to Route 3. After the second trainer Nidoran evolved into Nidorino, and also learned Double Kick. When I got to Nacrene City I went straight to the gym to battle N, Baltoy used Psybeam and Rock Tomb to OHKO most of his team. After I'm given a tour of the museum I put Nidorino up front since Double Kick will make this gym go by a lot faster. Double Kick OHKO'd the of the trainers' Pokemon (Except for a Herdier that had an X Defend used on it). Anyway I go through the gym's puzzle and get to Lenora. Her Herdier got lucky with a Critical Hit from Take Down and knocked out my Nidorino. So I switch in Gligar since he has the highest defense. Herdier gets knocked out after a few Quick Attacks and then Lenora sends out Watchdog. I left Gligar in to take the hit from Retaliate, and it knocks him out. Next I sent in Baltoy, but unbeknownst to me, Watchdog knew Crunch, so OHKO'd my Baltoy. Then I sent in Swinub, who gets a Critical Hit with Powder Snow, taking Watchdog down to 2/3 of his health. I got extremely lucky when it's Hypnosis missed twice, then I used Powder Snow to knock him out. As soon as I got the Basic Badge I saved the game.

Lenora certainly is the deadliest second gym leader ever to bless a mainstay Pokemon RPG. Y'all might disagree that Misty and her damnable Starmie are more difficult, but her Starmie doesn't have a bloody 210 BP move (after Herdier is KO'd, anywho), nor does it put Pokemon to sleep...

Challenge Update

With my first badge in possession, t'was time to head off down to Dewford. That salty ol' Magikarp of a sailor gave me a ride down, where I immediately bypassed the gym and went into Granite Cave. Flash is for pussies. :p

Prior to this point, I stopped trainin' Dirge for one sole reason: it was level 11. Now that I had repels, I could increase the chances of findin' the Pokemon I'm wantin': an Aron. On the basement floor in Granite Cave, only Sableye, Makuhita, and Aron can appear as level 11. Aron has a 40% encounter rate, while the other two have a meager 10%. While Makuhita wouldn't be all-that bad, Sableye is just-plain awful. The repel also kept me from unintentionally recruitin' a ****in' Zubat (blehhhhhhhhhhhh), though it also erased any chance of encounterin' a Abra.

Regardless, lo and behold, Aron appears! It's Headbutt was doin' a number on Dirge actually, so I only had one Yawn to catch it. Since Balderdash didn't have any moves to hit it normally effective without killin' it, my evolved 'mon was takin' good damage as well... If an untrained, unevolved 'mon is doin' such a number on my team, clearly that means I need to catch it; so I did. One Pokeball later, my new partner joined the party.

I initially forgot to nickname Aron, but it came to me later on very easily. Aggron is essentially a Tyranitar that digs through bedrock in behavior; what else has to do with bedrock? Minecraft. Steve only wishes he could break bedrock. Champion Steve owns an Aggron. IT COULDN'T BE MORE OBVIOUS! :D

Yes, I named my Aron "Steve". In a party where ridiculous 'n unfitting names like Dirge or Balderdash are to be used, it's plainly named "Steve". It's a horrible ****in' name in the most ironic way, 'n that's why I bloody chose it. Ya really couldn't think up a name more generic than Steve. herpderp

Catchin' my new partner, I delivered the [STRIKE]Oak's Parcel[/STRIKE] the letter to Steve (lulz) 'n traveled all the way back to Rustboro to get my EXP. share from Mr. Stone. Neither Dirge nor Steve could possibly take a fightin' move or two, and Balderdash ain't gonna be able to take many extra hits; if any at all. At the time, he was the same level as Brawly's Makuhita.

Speakin' of, the gym trainers were a breeze. Brawly himself wasn't much tougher. When his Machop used Bulk Up, I simply changed to Water Gun. His Machop did nothin' but spam Seismic Toss anyways, bloody idiot. Makuhita came out 'n hit hard with a Bulk Up'd Vital Throw, but Brawly wasted his last potion (he also used one on his Machop) to save it for an extra turn. Torrent-boosted Water Gun proceeded to end his Makuhita with all due ease regardless. Knuckle Badge get!

Onwards to Slateport. Dirge still hasn't evolved 'cause his growth is the slow speed (ba-dum tsh!), so I decided to grind a bit on all the beach goin' trainers. One trainer in particular had a Zigzagoon. With Surf, nearly killin' Aron. ... And headbutt, nearly flinchin' Dirge to death. As well Balderdash... -_-' If there's any way I don't wanna end this challenge, it's gettin' swept by a ****in' Zigzagoon. ._. Narrowly avoided an embarrassing fail of an end.

Trounced Aqua 'n also decided to visit the Battle Tent. Turns out it was the Rental one, so I had absolutely nothin' to lose. :D Lo and behold, there was a Magikarp just waitin' to be rented... But that'd make it far too bloody easy, a guaranteed win. I regretfully declined... And instead opted for a team of not-Steve Aron, a Machoke with a Modest nature, and an Electrike. Machoke was bulky, Electrike was fast 'n hit hard, Aron was even bulkier physically than Machoke, had great typin' and hit the hardest. Surprisingly good selection. The only Poke I at all wanted was a headbutt-spammin' Linoone in the last battle of the set. Clean sweep without killin' any of my Pokes in the process too, though I was ready to sacrifice Electrike to off said Linoone if it came to that. T'was a fun tangent, got a free Full Heal outta it too.

A few trainer battles later, a Roselia was givin' me some trouble. Steve has horrible SpD obviously, and Slakoth gives the Roselia free absorbs every turn... T'was lookin' grim. But a potion was all that was need t' scratch it to death, and nothin' horrible happened. Gettin' tired at this point in the night, so I saved here.

The team is as follows:

Balderdash (Marshtomp), lv. 19
Naive
Holding an Oran Berry

Moveset:

Mud Shot
Bide
Rock Tomb
Water Gun

Dirge (Slakoth), lv. 17
Lonely
Holding an EXP. Share

Moveset:

Scratch
Yawn
Bulk Up
Slack Off (... but I already knew this move long before my Nuzlocke?)

Steve (Aron), lv. 13
Hardy
Holding a Quick Claw

Moveset:

Tackle
Metal Claw
Mud-Slap
Headbutt

Still regret usin' Rock Tomb on Balderdash... Such a waste, all done in the haste of sleepiness. Now Aron is Rock-STABless for the entire game. ._. Ah well... Not like Rock Tomb is a great move anywho. Probably better off spammin' Iron Tail as my inaccurate move of choice regardless.

Once Dirge [STRIKE]dabbles a tad too much in cocaine[/STRIKE] evolves, Aron will permanently have the EXP. share 'till it's late evolution to Lairon. Oh, 'n here's a funfact for y'all. Did ya know Lairon weighs as much as a ****in' Rhydon? It's practically a quarter of it's size... Lairon is ****in' dense. How it moves about on those stubby legs, I sure as **** don't know.

Challenge Update 1

After debatin' for a few minutes whether or not to teach Dirge cut (I really didn't want to waste a slot on my team for a Cut slave...), I went ahead with it, forgettin' that I'll get Secret Power rather soon. It won't need all four moveslots 'till I can speak with the move deleter anyways. With the decision made, I battled all the trainers on the Route. Fought May as well, but she didn't exactly put up a fight. Dirge evolved prior to the battle, and with a few Bulk-Ups (<3 Nick), it swept her team without an issue. Steve didn't have to risk himself, and Balderdash never ended up havin' to fight her Grovyle. Excellent!

Got me an Acro Bike after all the level grindin', followed by takin' on the gym. Obviously Balderdash rolled like a behemoth boulder over the entire fleet of Gym Trainers 'n Watson 'imself. Such a boringly obvious battle doesn't deserve any details, 'sides the usual: Dynamo Badge get! Ground/Water ftw.

Before grinding the rest of the trainers East 'n West of Mauville city, I considered pickin' up a Grass type. While a Fire type was my priority (bloody Roselia...), I wouldn't mind a Fire/Water/Grass core on my team. Vileplume is better for Nuzlocke than Roselia, so I decided to try 'n find an Oddish through sheer luck on Route 117. Lucky me, I did find 'n catch one. Took me a real long time to think up a name for it. Was gonna use the horrifically bad name of "Stunkyplume" in reference to a bunch'a stuff, obviously to do with Stunky, but it didn't fit... Instead, I settled on somethin' a bit more exotic.

The plant Vileplume is based on is pretty interestin', so I thought I'd refer to the Indonesian roots of the plant (badpunanywayslol). The name was to be a broken combination of the Indonesian words Kesuma (flower) and Mayat (corpse). Mashed together ya get Kesumayat. Unmashed 'n turned around, ya get "corpse flower", which is what the Rafflesia is referred to in general slang. This is 'cause of the horrendous, flesh-rottin' odor the flower gives off. A vile plume indeed.

Pathetically failed attempts at good nicknames aside, after runnin' through all of the trainers on Route 117, Kesumayat already evolved; this bastard levels up twice as fast as everyone else. Truly a pleasant surprise wrapped in an unpleasant scent. At this point, I now needed someone with Rock Smash to advance. Considerin' Steve ain't got much of a movepool; ever worse than Dirge; I taught 'em Rock Smash and got on with my day.

This is where my luck stops bein' so lovely... On my way to the Fiery Path, I intentionally went into the grass to go catch a Numel. Unfortunately, a 75% encounter rate is absolutely rubbish, and I find a Marill instead. T_T I don't want another Water type, 'specially one that's even worse, but what can I do... It's part of the team now. Either way, I ain't gonna use it 'less Balderdash gets cracked like the boulders his evolved form smashes. I just wish my new Strength/Waterfall/Dive slave didn't take up an entire team slot... =/ Was hopin' I'd get a Numel here, and then be able to catch a Machop on the Jagged Pass since the only Poke besides Numel, which I can avoid without penalty, was Spoink. A really strong Fightin' type and my Fire/Water/Grass core complete? What a perfect team! ... Nope, not happenin'. ;_; Even the best of plans can go sour with luck. Since I don't even want it, first person to give (Azu)Marill a moveset gets to nickname it whatever the **** they want, so long as it's 10 characters or less. Don't care if it's "DirgeIsGay". So long as it's a usable moveset in case Balderdash does die, the nickname choice is yours.

Traveled up to Route 113 (but... I was just at Route 117... y u gotta baktrak), got Secret Power, and this is when I decided to turn back 'n nickname Kesumayat, already a Gloom. Returnin' to Slateport 'n gettin' the trainers on Cycling Road outta the way, I also realized I forgot my Silk Scarf in Dewford. Dirge's lovely fashion sense sure would appreciate it. Guess I'll backtrack even more...... -_-'

... Also forgot to Cut trees for a few items back near Rustboro.

I just realized all party members are Male, except for the wholly rejected NotNumel... I'm either a dirty sexist or a faggot who's into bestiality, it seems. A trainer of great expectations indeed.

Challenge Update 2

Travelin' back to Rustboro, I got a bunch of obtained-with-Cut items along the way. On through Verdanturf Tunnel, I decided to drop my stupid buzz-killin' Marill off at the daycare. Since I have no intention of trainin' it, might as well let it level up a bit if it comes to me havin' to use it. I sure hope it don't...

Passed on through 113, gettin' a rude awakening of a remembrance that the ****in' Koffing these trainers have know Selfdestruct. Always surprises me every ****in' playthrough, even though I'm bein' cautious as hell for this one. =/ A crit would'a offed Dirge, but lucky for me, the two close calls so far weren't crits. Got to Fallarbor Town without any horrible accidents.

Made my way to Meteor Falls, only to realize if I kept goin' on Route 113 earlier, I'd be able to quickly get all the items 'n Metsuyamat nicknamed without unnecessary backtrackin'... ._. A waste of time indeed. Hardly matters though. Once again loopin' 'round the entire Western continent, made my way to Mt. Chimney to spoil Magma's fun. On my way down, I found that Numel I wanted to complete my FWG core. Wewt. :D

Arrivin' in Lavaridge, I immediately healed 'n went straight for the gym. The trainers were no match for Balderdash of course. I wasted a Super Potion outta impatience since Balderdash was still fine on PP, what with me bein' a lazy **** 'n all. Time for a gym battle; hopefully one not as disappointin' as Watson.

As is normal, she leads with better-than-my-Numel-Numel. One swift Water Gun ends it 'fore it can launch a pathetic attack. Slugma comes out next, and is wasted just as easily with a clean Mud Shot. Next to the plate is her Camerupt; now things are gettin' heated. As expected, Camerupt survives the Water Gun with a small amount of HP left. All of it's moves are problematic, and I rue to see which one hits me. Overheat, even if it's not very effective, will do decent damage. It's bloody Overheat. Attract will force a switch; I'm pretty damn sure Dirge or Numel doesn't wanna take an Overheat. Sunny Day will force me to use Mud Shot on Torkoal, which would probably do half of Water Gun's damage, if not less.

... It uses Tackle. LOL

One more stream'a Pokespit ends Camerupt's nigh-fatal sweep of my entire team. Finally, out comes her ace, Torkoal. Water Gun does a rather low 1/3rd of it's HP; it is one level higher than Balderdash, after all. It does less damage with it's Body Slam though, so parahax aside, it looks like I'm safe.

Next turn another Water Gun, another Body Slam. Overheat would definitely do more, the bloody idiot... Finally, she does use Overheat, hittin' Balderdash with enough damage to throw it deep into the yellow. Another one would put me in a very bad spot due to that White Herb, if not even KO... She uses a healin' item to help her Torkoal out in the mean time, prolongin' the battle.

... However, a Torrent-boosted Water Gun turns that 3HKO into a 2HKO. Torkoal is finished as I outspeed next turn for the win. Heat badge get! Type advantage certainly won me that gym. ... Uh, not like every other gym previous either, nope. Just pure skill, that's how I roll.

With Go-Goggles equipped, makin' my way back to Petalburg is a tad quicker. Once I arrive in Slateport, I get on Briney's ship-- ... Wait no, it's not here. I have t' jump down from Meteor Falls... ... ...

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--

Yet another long trip 'round the Western side of the continent again, I arrive in Petalburg. Steve is clearly gonna be an asset like no other in the gym. Level grindin' to evolve it, I encountered some close calls though... A trainer's Spinda had Focus Punch; there's no way Steve was gonna survive a 600 BP attack. Iron Tail miraculously hit, even though it always ****in' misses for me in CC (</3 Nick). In the offense-or-somethin' room, an opposing Zangoose (grrrrr...) nearly ****ed me over (AGAIN) as it managed to get three Swords Dances off of my two Iron Tail misses. Steve's typin' and huge defense saved the day, but that was a ****in' close call.

Steve was only level 31 at the moment, so I used a Rare Candy outta laziness to evolve 'em into a Lairon. X-items would'a let an unevolved Steve sweep anywho, but now, there's no way I'll lose. Time for yet another battle for the badge.

Norman leads with his stupid Teeter Dance Spinda. I'm more worried 'bout Psybeam than hittin' myself in confusion though, since Steve's attack is lower than his godlike defense. This proves true, as it does hit itself after Spinda does his thriller imitation to confuse my 'mon thoroughly. One turn later however, and an Iron Tail to the bastard's face has it KO'd.

Unsurprisingly, Norman sees how dangerous Steve is 'n sends in his Slaking to deal with it. However, unlike with the trainers, I actually did my research this time. I know his imitation-Dirge can use Counter. Steve would do enough damage with Iron Tail to die to a Counter; luckily, Truant will allow me to utterly destroy it without puttin' Steve in any real danger.

Rock Smash hits to lower it's defense, while Counter hits back for a solid 40 HP or so. Iron Tail smacks it hard, puttin' it into KO range. A Super Potion while it's Counter does nothin' allows me to finish it off with Iron Tail during the next Truant turn. This is why my Dirge is better; it'l learn somethin' to hurt Steel types. ;D

Out comes Vigoroth, but it's obviously over. Faint Attack does paltry damage, and Iron Tail 'n Metal Claw once each finishes it off. Though Linoone's Belly Drum scared me slightly durin' research, a +6 Zangoose couldn't even break Steve as an Aron. T'was obvious I'd won. One last Iron Tail-Metal Claw combo, and victory is mine. Balance Badge get!

Finally taught Balderdash Surf, makin' 'em hit even harder than before now. Numel's had the EXP. Share all this time ('cept when grinding Steve; he just barely got to lv. 31), but he ain't exactly a high level yet. Kesumayat has been neglected entirely too, since I want Numel to evolve ASAP. With two new badges, I decided t' save here.

The team is as follows:

Balderdash (Marshtomp), lv. 28
Naive
Holding Soft Sand

Moveset:

Mud Shot
Surf
Rock Tomb
Water Gun

Dirge (Vigoroth), lv. 26
Lonely
Holding a Silk Scarf

Moveset:

Cut
Secret Power
Bulk Up
Slack Off

Steve (Aron), lv. 32
Hardy
Holding an EXP. Share

Moveset:

Rock Smash
Metal Claw
Iron Tail
Take Down

Kesumayat (Gloom), lv. 23
Mild
Holding a Miracle Seed

Moveset:

Absorb
Stun Spore
Sleep Powder
Bullet Seed

Numel, lv. 26 (and its a female ohmahgawd)
Relaxed
Holding an EXP. Share

Moveset:

Overheat
Tackle
Ember
Magnitude

Once Numel evolves, I plan to throw the EXP. Share on either Dirge or Balderdash; probably the former Poke. Kesumayat is the least powerful Poke on the entire team once Numel evolves, so I ain't gonna level up it very much 'till I can get my hands on a Leaf Stone. Which will be relatively soon, but not prior to Numel's evolution.

tl;dr

Needz me some movesets for an Aggron, Vileplume, and Camerupt. Said Camerupt can be nicknamed by the player who gives it a moveset, whatever name they want. Azumarill also needs a moveset, but since I won't be usin' it unless my Marshtomp gets offed, it shouldn't get a moveset prior to the other three Pokes.

Challenge Update 3

Small one this time; who would'a thought it to be possible. Surfed through Routes 105-109, from Petalburg to Slateport, level grindin' off all the trainers along the way. Also stopped by the Abanondoned Ship to get some weak trainers outta the way, 'n team Balderdash Ice Beam. I prefer Ice Beam to Blizzard TBH, but that's the moveset challenge for ya. Often forces you outta your moveset-comfort zone. Numel still hasn't evolved... 'Least it's only needin' one more level.

I've also stockpiled a total of three PP Ups; those're definitely goin' into Dirge's Hyper Beam (once he evolves 'n I get the TM). It's offensive moves don't have the most PP, so it could use it. Also have the Itemfinder registered to Select since I never use it in generation 1-3. Ain't impatient on this playthrough though, so it don't kill me t' select my Acro Bike via the menu.

The Team is as follows:

Balderdash (Marshtomp), lv. 30
Naive
Holding Soft Sand

Moveset:

Mud Shot
Surf
Ice Beam
Water Gun

Dirge (Vigoroth), lv. 30
Lonely
Holding a Silk Scarf

Moveset:

Cut
Secret Power
Bulk Up
Slack Off

Steve (Lairon), lv. 32
Hardy
Holding an EXP. Share

Moveset:

Rock Smash
Metal Claw
Iron Tail
Take Down

Kesumayat (Gloom), lv. 23
Mild
Holding a Miracle Seed

Moveset:

Absorb
Stun Spore
Sleep Powder
Bullet Seed

Numel, lv. 32
Relaxed
Holding an EXP. Share

Moveset:

Overheat
Take Down
Ember
Magnitude

Never before have I had such a balanced team in-game. None the less, on a Nuzlocke. Such strange machinations have taken place durin' (berry) this Challenge.

... Oh, and I still need movesets for Steve, Kesumayat, 'n Numel (as well as a nickname for 'er). Nick, if ya wouldn't mind givin' me another moveset or two, that'd be grand.

Uh... Still no movesets? sadfaec

S'pose I'll make movesets for anyone who doesn't get one by when I log on tomorrow. I'll resume my challenge then.
