Pokemon X/Y

OU being Uber? Cuz people who use the rules of ubers just get rid of the OPness instead of doing what a successful pro would do and counter them...

... The hell're you on about? o_o;

Well when steel and dark types where added to gen 2 they didn't go as over board as this...

As Storm said, only 5 new Fairy-type species were added... the same amount GSC added for both Steel and Dark (well, I s'pose Magmemite don't count, so 4 for Steel). Probably not a coincidence, I reckon. Makes me wonder what's so special 'bout 5 species.

Also I still can't believe they nerfed thunderbolt / flamethrower / ice beam ect...

Can't say I care since it's either that, or buff all'a the best moves of other types. Though I am curious as t' why it was done, rather than increasin' the BP of other said moves.

Azumarril? Togekiss? both OU for sure.

Don't forget 'bout Mega Mawile. Thing's terrifyin'.

BTW are there any new competitive items? I haven't seen any yet.Ah, I see you changed your signature nice to know ;]

OU being Over Used. Not sure why you thought I said Ubers.

@ Dirge: yea I forgot about MegaMawile. In theorymon also, Florges may find a nich in OU. Maybe. Obviously it's defense and HP barely make it to par, but it's extensive 147 special defense backed up with its nice 119(ish?) special attack give it a decent shot. As a special wall, it dwarfs even Togekiss and isn't weak to SR. May prove an effective cleric through a combination of Wish and Aromatherapy to support its team, as well as set up screens to provide more extensive support. With lefties and full EV support in defense and HP, Florges can make a quite destructive CM user.

Belly Drumming Azumaril is a thing, a very destructive thing, a thing that will make Scarf and Banded Outrage users see far less play than last gen.

Togekiss is an amazing addition having a Fairy/Flying type, it not only walls Garchomp, but completely counters the beast if it lacks Stone Edge. The only thing Garchomp can really do to Togekiss is use Stone Edge, but using Stone Edge means it will have to give up Fire Fang that used to deal with Steel-types. This means that depending on its set, Garchomp will either be completely walled by Togekiss or completely walled by Skarmory.

Seems like the land shark will drop in usage. Not to UU, heavens no, but definitely dropping in popularity.

Speakin' of, I ain't seen any Mega Garchomp action on the youtubes yet. Someone point me in the right direction.

... Assumin' there are any competitive vidyas of someone usin' it. MGarchomp droppin' a Speed tier might mean it's a waste of your Mega evolution for OU teams. Even moreso in Ubers.

Yea. Don't get me wrong, MGarchomp is powerful, but his increase in strength only out powers his LO set by a small percentage, and dropping that speed tier with mediocre bulk and weaknesses, all the while no longer being able to our speed his checks and get the KOs on pokes he used to, I don't think MChomp is very viable, especially not in using up a mega slot on your team.

Unless you're running a sand team. But even then it's a little iffy.

New fairies:

Florges, Aromatisse, Slurpluff, Sylveon, Xerneas.
That's 5 new fairies.
And Klefki. And Carbink. And Dedenne. I still agree with you despite that mistake. [strike]How dare you forget Klefki and Carbink... ;;[/strike]

'scool

Also, this evidently exists. Yes, it's for XY Wi-fi in case you misread something. Yes, it's glubbin' ridiculous. No, I don't know much about it outside of what I've gathered from skimming that thread and what I'm being told.

That's even better than perfect IV Pokesav teams... [STRIKE]do want.[/STRIKE]
That is literally the most bullshit thing competitive Pokemon has ever seen. Illegal stats 'n traits can easily be spotted by an experienced competitive battle, but this... it's not only cheating, it's completely ****in' underhanded and impossible to detect. What a bunch'a bullshit.

My bad I knew I had forgotten a couple

'Karp damnit Storm, ya also made me look like an idiot... ._.

Why didn't ya just check Serebii/Bulba for a list of Fairy-types? >_>;

Hey now, I got the ones that matter... Scept for MegaMawile lol. And relax Dirge, you're fine. The point was still well made and well received.

On a separate note, Foul Play's power apparently has been increased from 90 to 95. Kinda cool, not altogether useful really, but neat.
