Pokemon X/Y

Big headline today. It's official. Blaziken has been banished to Ubers. Serves 'em right. Stupid chicken...

In other news, heard a dog barking today. Got bitten by that dog. Now have a rather large welt growing on my leg that I have decided to name Growlithe.

In assorted news, people posting at the same time about the same subject with the same points of view but posting only moments after another made an almost exact replica post to yours making yours look redundant has effectively coined the phrase of being "Gre-Ninja'd."

In more gossip, Talonflame, the "Priority Rapist," has been seen flying around sticking his beak wear it doesn't belong; up peoples and various pokemons asses. In retaliation, a group of victims formed a small circle, waited for the fiery falcon to swoop down, and then pelted it with rocks. When asked about the incident, Talonflame replied, "I would have been fine, but I forgot about Stealth Rock, and next time I see those kids they won't be so lucky."

We asked the bird if he would return anytime soon, to which he replied, "It's unlikely, I'm not that Brave a Bird. If I make another pass, it could mean suicide, so I might as well Blitz out of here."

The falcon proceeded to ignore the no U-turn sign and fled the city.

330 hours of playtime. That's a pretty awkward feeling of accomplishment, but a feeling of accomplishment nonetheless.

Going to start up the shiny Mareep hunt again.

Inkay and Swirlix will be mine. <3

And last but not least, a random adorable picture of Pokemon #666

Poor Giratina. The only thing it's design was missin' is the proper dex number, and a bloody butterfly takes it from 'em.

330 hours of playtime.

"Only" 161 hours for me. Lost track of how much is idling, but I've stopped idling ever since beatin' the E4, so I reckon only 25~ hours or so.

I was reading that earlier today. Both sides raise some decent points. I don't really have an opinion on the matter at the moment. Maybe they should hold off on a decision for a while longer.

Edit: Actually, I'm probably for the ban now. From what I'm reading, Mega Gengar just kills whatever it wants without even letting a proper counter be sent in. While Shadow Tag isn't necessarily broken (read: Gothitelle), Mega Gengar just pinpoints opposing Pokemon you want gone and destroys them.

It doesn't have godlike firepower or sweeping capabilities. In fact, quite a few people on that thread seem to use Perish Song sets with the expectation that it will probably die. And they're cool with that. Because Mega Gengar, contrary to what its stats would have you believe, is a supporter. It uses its firepower (or Perish Song) to trap something which counters/checks one of your sweepers, kills it, and voilà, sweep. If, for example, you keep your Skarmory in at all (after Gengar's Mega Evolved, naturally), your entire team is now at risk of being raped by your opponent's Garchomp. Yes, Skarmory has things that it can't stay in against normally, such as Heatran. But it can switch out of those into a counter. The fact that your counters/checks to specific Pokemon can barely risk being in play at all is just unfair, really.

None of these problems apply to Gothitelle, Wobbuffet, and to a lesser extent Dugtrio because they lack can't kill as much stuff as Mega Gengar can.

I'm not just copy/pasting what other people said on the thread. I didn't fully understand the arguments for/against it until reading it, and now that I've read it, I'm siding with the people for the ban. For the reasons I gave. It just kills too many key Pokemon way too easily. Not sure exactly how much "too many" is, but it's a lot, that's for sure.

Does that make sense?

> forgetting MGengar is a great revenge killer

I can have no stance, since I've literally only encountered one MGengar. During which I did not have a legitimate team, but smacked it around anyways.

No one should vote 'til they use one extensively themselves, fight against one extensively with and without teams prepared for it, and most importantly, not vote 'til a proper OU suspect test is performed. That goes for you too, Squidface. One can theorymon all they want, but they need t' see how all'a the stuff on paper works in battle. One might remember how Rampardos was hyped up via theorymon-ing prior to Gen 4's release, and look where it ended up.

I've been using MGengar in my team simply playing against friends, and much like squid stated, it simply destroys things that need to be gone. It can sit there and stall out bulky walls with substitutes to protect itself while all the power from its STABs and utility just destroy the opponent. With Substitute and Pain Split, MGengar can make the lives of Blissey, Assault Vest Snorlax, and a number of other things that would previously wall it a living hell. This being said plainly, even the bulkiest special walls that would stop or at least check Gengar can do nothing against MGengar. As a straight up sweeper, it fails quite hard, being weak to things like Priority Scizor bullet punch, Aegislash Shadow Sneak, and Mega Alakazam being one of the only things that out speeds it without a scarf. And yet, these things that can check MGengar still can't switch into it on the Mega Evolve turn because his STABs are strong enough where he 2HKOs most if not all of his previous forms checks.

Referring to the picture Dirge posted, and the Abom[ination] part of the stone name. Hey, it might have been a little vague but I still found it funny. ;;
Ohh. I didn't see that part of the conversation lol.

On another note, Mr. Bodine and I have the Art Academy app on our WiiU and I drew a Suicune :)

Hopefully this link works, I'm never good at that.
