Pokemon X/Y

I could actually see Delibird preforming well in OU as a suicide hazard remover. Just slap a Choice Scarf on.

And Baton Pass it four defense boosts.

And four special defense boosts....

...and after putting the opponent to sleep...

.....and....and....

(yes I'm still joking)

And now we return to today's episode of "Nicky Rants about Pokemon he likes while hoping that people care at least a little"

So Sharpedo gets Destiny Bond now. This is actually pretty cool. Now, instead of "eat or get eaten", it's "eat, and kamikaze everything that you can't eat". Priority and status are a barrier but you could just switch out in a lot of those situations. You also have to sacrifice a coverage move (or Protect, but Protect is too good) to use Destiny Bond, which is usually worth it since Water + Dark gets pretty good neutral coverage anyway.

Shame it doesn't get the buffed Knock Off. That would actually be really good. You're basically getting a 97 BP move against everything that isn't a Mega. It's weaker if you use it again, but that doesn't really matter since if the opposition isn't already dead (after switching in since this is Sharpedo after all) you can just finish them off with Waterfall if they don't resist it. If they do resist it, 97 + 65 is roughly as strong as 80 + 80 anyway.

Thank 'Karp for Species Clause. inb4 carvahna + sharpedo are used together for destiny bond abuse

Ain't Knock Off increasin' in power when it removes an item just a rumor?

YOU MADE ME LOSE THE GAME YOU IDIOT!!!!

Sig worthy.

And I'm still laughin'.
Maybe I should make a comedy act.

"I think that Scizor will be dropping down to NU because fairies resist U-turn. I mean, seriously, what's the deal with fairies? And it's not like anybody uses any other utility moves on Scizor."

Haven't played in a while. Nothing else to do but fill Pokedex. Meh.

If only there were some new-fangeled way to use technology that can harness the power of the internet to download more content in a game giving it a longer lifespan. If only. But that's crazy talk.

That, or Z. Hopefully both.

Would love t' see Emerald's Battle Frontier return in full-fledged 3D glory.

Serebii reports that Oblivion Wing absorbs 75% of damage dealt. That would be terrifyin' if Yveltal's attack stats were... well, moar terrifying.

Still pretty damn dangerous of a move against frail Pokes without HP investment. And even if it doesn't OHKO (80 BP ain't too frightening), Sucker Punch (which damn-well has more than 80 BP thanks to Dark Aura) can finish the job. Gets Roost too. Lugia's biggest shortcoming is that it can't hit back, so maybe Yveltal might commonly be used as a tank. I've no idea how well it'l perform in Ubers, but if it goes nigh-unused for reasons other than SR, I will be surprised.

Oh, and gem-boosted Acrobatics would hurt for Doubles/Salac sweeper set (lolstormwoulddoit).

EDIT: Also, I just discovered all abilities like Pixilate and Aeriate that change Normal-type moves t' somethin' else boost said type-changed moves' BP by 30%. MGardevoir gets disgustingly potent STAB in Hyper Voice (once Pokemon Bank is up 'n runnin'), and Echoed Voice would be horrifying if it had usable Speed. On a Doubles TR team, it is actually usable since Echoed Voice still increases in power even if it misses/doesn't hit somethin' 'cause'a Protect. MPinsir has the most powerful Flying-type attack in the game via Thrash, and it can also make use'a Quick Attack, weirdly enough...

Why are you running a base 100 speed Pokemon in Trick Room. I agree that it's not the fastest thing on the planet, but still. At lowest possible speed you're about as fast as a neutral uninvested base 74. It's slow, but a lot of defensive Pokemon/tanks still outspeed you.

Meh, I suppose it works vs. fast teams. I still think that 70- speed Pokemon are roughly as common as 100+ speed Pokemon, but I don't know for sure.

... Oh, MGardevoir gets a small boost to it's Speed. Another reason why my casual Doubles team is awful, fantastic.
