I still buy my Volcom and element. It's just comfortable, easy to wear stuff. And to dress em up I chuck a suit jacket over the top. Not the easiest thing to wear when skating.
Oh and killik, does 'surf wear' still exist in Australia? I thought its just all the 'lads' that wear that sort of stuff.....bloody lads.
And metro kinda died out when all Australians got a fashion sense. I swear no one in Australia wears non-diesignerish stuff anymore. And too many people care about how they look.
Now I have a problem buying shoes, I can never find ones I want and I dont know what is properly classy....Dr.Mario help me out on that one.

We should of called this the Official Vanity Thread....

Sorry to say this Deanis, but... it hasn't died out. Deffinately not in Melbourne. I go to a shopping complex, all I see is fluro colours and styled hair. The majority of people, that I see, dress like this... and it sickens me, lol.

Surf wear is Quicksilver, Billabong, Rusty, etc. All the companies that make surfboards+clothes, are known as surf brands... as far as I know.

I wear a ton of no name clothes, like stuff from Hizz, Edge, Cotton on. Hell, I even wear shirts from jeans west! But I have a fair amount of Brand clothes, Volcom, DC, Blind... I've got about 20 skate brands in my wardrobe.

As for shoes... I don't have many. I've got to Nike Airs (one high tops, the other low tops), Havana thongs, Globe thongs and Volcom thongs, a pair of Etnies and a pair of DCs. The fact that me and my feet are growing so rapidly, doesn't help the fact that I have friends that are girls who like to shop every time they see me. About once every two weeks.

Yer killik the poeple with fluoro shirts and styled hair, are usually known as lads here now. Especially the fluoro shirts. Metro, was just people that styled their hair, bought name brands, and considered themselves stylish... lads just wear fluoro **** and surf brands, and opened buttoned fluro shirts, then have those emo-ish hair styles...idiots.

Ohhh, I've never heard the term before. Must be an NSW thing. I'll spread the word in melbourne about lads Deanis, you can count on me.

What about the people with rat-tails and shirts that match their hats, tracksuit pants and shoes? Are the they Lads?

Ugh! Why doesn't my beach look like that? Clearwater stinks! But then again, Clearwater is one of the Top 10 beaches in US? Why's that? o_O I don't think so! Lol

What..ummm..£60 ish?

Holy crap. That's $120 here in Australia, alot for a shirt. I spend about $50-$70 on a good shirt, well it looks like a good shirt.

And did you say you only buy expensive clothes... lol. Even if it's a plain grey T-shirt, with "kelvin kline" written on the back in inch high letters, with a price tag of £60?

Took me ages to find the pound symbol.

killik people with rats tails also fits that bill... but its usually rats tails with rest of hair shortish and spiked... not so much trackpants tho...
Imagine: very tight black/white pants, fluoro green shirt with 1/2 buttons undone, shortish spiked hair, with it longer at the back and a rats tail coming out, usualy bleached in patches. Also wear odd sports shoes or open top converses. And they usually hang in gangs to look tough. (Kinda hard when you are wearing girls clothes). Oh and they usually hang in nightclubs/beaches, but dont go in the water. And generally have a negative personality trait attached to em....known to bash ppl, steal stuff etc.

Lad rant over...

The water was *beautiful* yesterday, but we do have our share of days when it's not nearly as clear. New Smyrna stays really clear for the whole summer I've noticed (we have in-laws that stay for a couple of months down there). Of course, Miami is always amazing (probably have some pics...)

Got me some new shoes. Pictures soon.
