How do I get a mates mii's onto my wii?

I have registered his on mine, but they haven't appeared in my plaza yet

Firstly, I'd check that you've got your plaza set to "Travel". Secondly, I'd check that your mates Mii's are set to mingle. Even if all that is correct, they sometimes take a while to appear. I only had 1 Mii in my plaza a while back but more keep appearing every day. As long as everything is set up right they will eventually appear. If there's any of your friend's Mii's that your desperate to have on your Wii you can always get him/her to send them direct to you.
