I mean, I get that. I'm just sick of not being able to decide how much food I get, when I get more, and what I do after school.

Parenting is all 'bout balance I'd say. Not strict enough, ya get spoiled little shits that'l rob a coin off a dead man's eye. Too strict, ya get a kid with various problems.
