My suggestion would be to use a skateboard or a office chair (something on wheels) for the "steady" shots. You would be surprised at how well they can turn out. Especially if you slow it down a bit, and used fast cuts like you did. Also, it would have been good to block the light coming in from the outdoors, and use dedicated light.
