What to say to all that... Ya know... I dont understand why your still fighting this... Especially with that kind of arguement. There is no such thing as an absolute truth... That is the most ignorant statement i have ever read. The truth is never black and white Boz. And that bit about comparing yourself hanging with other girls to people worshipping other gods... thats a good heap of bs. Why? Doesnt it say in the bible or something that we are al;l his children and he has unconditional love for us? If a god did exist, I really dont think he would have something as petty as jealousy on his mind. And it doesnt matter anyways... Bc jealousy is just a product of fear, and what does god have to be afraid of?

How does anything in the church make any sense? Why does the church need to collect money? Back in the ole days, they said bc God said so. What could god possibly need with money? The need for money is just a product of Greed, and god wouldnt need any greed. If hes god, wth does he need to be greedy for? Or jealous? Or anything for that matter? The bible contradicts itself so much, its ridiculous. About humans evolving from monkeys (thnx Napalm, I couldnt remember the scientific name for it) its true... And the bible contradicts that, does it ot? doesnt the bible say something about God creating Adam and Eve as the first humans in order to have a perfect world? Some crap lie that right? Even something as simple as dinosaurs having been dated back millions of years, humans have not been around NEARLY that long... But the bible says they were the first. Doesnt make any llogical sense.

you claim you 'know somebody' whose cancer just vanished. i could claim i have an alien in my basement but that doesn't make it true. if someone's cancer were really to just vanish then the docters would hail it a medical miracle and there would be tons of news coverage and such. so pull up an article cause i say that your lying.

as for not witnessing evolution, look up a couple posts at Napalm's first post on this page. he provides info about an expierament which witnessed and proved evolution.

also if you read the above, skippy proved me wrong about life on Mars. i made a mistake and admit it.

i'm asking you to accept science as fact, which has mountains of evidence and proof. your asking me to accept christianity, which has a book and an uncountable numbed of believers. but does belief prove its true? no it doesn't, evidence does. and fir such a devout christan your missing something; the bible was written by mankind and rewritten multiple times. of course it would 'predict what would happen' because they're writing it that way. the bible is the best selling book of fiction in human history.

and what says that there even is a god? you said that if christianity isn't true then one of the other religions is. has it ever occurred to you that none of them are true? not one can be proven by any methods yet we're asked to believe them. science though has proof, some of which contradicts any religious text. the big bang disproves every creation theory in every religion that has one. evolution usually helps disprove them as well.

yes, that's what i wanted to hear from someone. ugh.. anyway, that's one problem in Christianity that is growing every day. churches are abusing the good Word, saying that we are all going to 'fly away to sancutary, and everyone else is going to burn' THAT'S NOT RIGHT AT ALL! we are NOT going to just go to heaven when Jesus comes back to earth, we are going to have utter hell until satin dies. money, nothing in the world do we need it in our religion. churches these days are using God's name in vain, saying that they will pray for somebody for 50, 100, etc. $$, which is not right at all. they dont read the bible, they just try to make everyone happy, thinking nothing bad is going to happen. adam and eve were not the only first humans that were made, there were different cultures out there. they tried to be the perfect beings, but.. it just didnt work out that way, and it was due to satin. they didnt listen, so he banished them. he is jealous, because he's trying to help us believe, and we are going around believing bullsht.. (srry guys) i do feel sorry for him, having to put up with all of this.. and he has no fear, but he doesnt want to kill his children. he's giving you chances, and he will keep doing so, but if you keep rejecting him, especially in the end times, and you STILL refuse to believe, then how could he have you in his kingdom? (of course, you'll meet him, and yet you still refuse, he will have no choice..) He does love us, yet we show no love for him. so you explain that to me? comparing to dinosaurs? you do realize that they are not humans, right? adam and eve may have been the first attempt of a perfect race, being handcrafted from God, but dinos arent humans, so that's bs there too. wouldnt say you contadicted yourself, your just hypocritical..

the Crusades: "we must take back the holy land!" war is ok cause its for god.
current war: the terrorist are extremists that honestly believe being a suicide bomber will get them a 'go to heaven' pass.


i'm not a defender of religion but even i know when its being abused. and those are just two examples. abusing religion has happened since its creation.

okay, i agree with the war we're are in. I think it's non-sense, and if I can have my own way, to easily end it, just send an atomic bomb and say goodbye. war is something God didn't invent though, but for us humans. here's a reference, i have a personal paster named Arnold Murray, and he's wayy more in depth than I could be with this subject. Jesus never claimed to be God. He was put to death for claiming to be God's son.

Either Jesus is true and all other religions are false, or other religions are true and Jesus is false. There are no other options.

God doesn't need the money. The tithing arrangement in ancient Israel was for the priests in the temple, not for God. Unlike the rest of the people in the congregation who had regular jobs, the priests' sole job was to be a priest, and without donations they would have no way to pay for their day to day needs.

Now in modern times, various churches handle these sort of things in different ways, and of course we've seen many unfortunate examples of abuse and greed. What donations should be for is to pay the bills - electric, water, mortgage, etc. for the actual building. Some churches have paid clergy and some do not.

No actually the Bible says that humans were basically the last things created - after the physical universe, plant life, and animal life.

Ah George Carlin. My belief is that God is just a "Wizard did it" syndrome. If you can't explain it, blame it on the supernatural. Specifically God. Now if it makes you happy, believe what you want. But the second you try to convert me I'mma flip out on you. There used to be gods for everything. The sun rose this morning? Some god carried it in on a chariot. And so on and so forth. But science explained all those things so most religions these days have one deity. So what happens when we finally describe those things that people say are acts of God?
