Connection Help

Bah Im just going to return the Nintendo USB Access Point and get a Speedtouch Wireless Router - at least you can configure the router to ensure it connects with the Wii (and of course use the router to share net access with other PCs and consoles). With the USB access point not only is it DS/Wii only BUT if it doesnt work immediately (and it seems it often doesnt), sticking in your DNS numbers for a manual config results in it asking for a non existing SSID? Bah - 4 hours trying to get it to work today and not a thing :/

Like many others here, I am having problems. Error Code 52230 or something similar. I have a Netgear CG814WG router, which isn't listed on the Nintendo site so the FAQ there does not help. The connection test fails after I assign the access point. Can someone please help? I'm up for any suggestions.

mine is 209600.. i cant get under the virtual shop, i was yesterday but it was very slow.. i am connected to the internet ( the forecast channel works fine) and when i shut the wii, i am still connected. so is it b/c the servers r busy.. but the error code means something is wrong with the internet.. i think././ help~!

Ok, so i've never had a problem with my wii untill friday afternoon.

The internet has worked perfect, i got both the opera browser and the weather channel with no troubles at all. Friday morning i get on my wii and surf the web for a few. I leave the house to go fill out paperwork, when i come back, i cant get on the internet. At first it keeps telling me "Cannot connect to the internet". so i think to myself ok, its probably just a bad signal. So i go back to the internet settings and clear the wireless setup i had, so i can start fresh with a new one. I set it up, get to the connection test screen, and i start getting error codes. Such as 51330,52030,52031. I also noticed that my wireless card on my desktop pc was getting a poor signal from my wireless router itself. I messed around with it and the signal is back to "Very Good" but i still cant connect my wii.

Anyone have any ideas? I havent put anything new in my room to interfere with the wii itself. Im absolutely lost as to what it could be.

Ok, my i cant connect wi fi because of error 51330 (the one were the is to much interference) , but i cant change the channels on my router because i dont want to mess it up and my family aint big tech people so we would destroy it more trying to fix it.

Im also getting 50241 but i have the USB Ethernet adapter plugged into my Wii and my ethernet into my computer, which i know works because its the same one that i use for my 360. anyone know how to help me?

help

I got error 52231, I have a Linksys model WCG200-CC, and a comcast connection. It sort of works like this: My router(computer) is upstairs, and my Wii is downstairs. They are not far apart, i get 2 bars. I also have a computer downstairs, with a Linksys Wireless card that connects to the router upstairs and gives the downstairs computer internet. I have comcast high-speed, and on my Wii i entered the WEP key TWICE(connection 1 and 2). One is manual set up, two was found by searching for an access point. I turned off the firewall on the upstairs computer(McAffe), i'm not sure if there are any more. I didn't turn off the one down here, so i'll try that next. Any tips you have for me would be great. Thanks!

32002 error help

All you guys are having similar problems but i see not much have posted for 32002 error. I have a D-Link DSL-604+ router. No firewall was enabled so i can try to get my Wii to connect.I set channel to 1 or 11 (tried both). Signal is AWESOME! I even disabled my PW for my router. still when i try the Wii connection to the net, it says" successful" then it procedes to do the update, nothing happens for about a min then i get the 32002 error code. I have gone to MANY many forums to resove this problem, follows Nintendo's troubleshooting guides and even talked to friends. nobody has a clue why its doing this to me. Oh and i should add that i DO have the latest firmware installed, all cell phones, wireless phones and anything else are off.
Who out there has a salution i could try? (short of factory defaults to the router, but this i may try yet.)

I tried everything that krelis did, and more, including disabling my SPI firewall settings, and it still gives me the "Updating..." error (#32004). I'm using a Netgear CG184WG (yes, the notorious one) with Road Runner/Time Warner, and NOT Comcast. Suggestions?

Can't connect with Westell Router

Hi all,

After a lot of testing, and fiddling, and changing of settings, I am still unable to connect my Wii to my wireless network.

I'm currently using:
- Westell 327 wireless router/dsl modem (from Verizon) - already updated to the latest firmware.
- WPA encryption turned on
- Channel 11

The Wii finds the access point (with full signal strength) and correctly detects that it is using WPA. After entering the WPA key, it gives me Error 51330. I've tried manually assigning it an IP address (along with DNS, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway). I'm a little lost about what to do with it now. I'm going to call Nintendo later today after work but was hoping someone here might have a suggestion.

Thanks in advance!

im having almost the same problem as Darkfencer. The wii finds the access point with full signal but when i go to test the connection i get the Error code:52130

i dont know what to do it frustrating the heck out of me :mad2::mad2::mad2:

argh...official wi-fi :(

i got error code : 50241.
I am using the official Nintendo Wi-fi usb connector, that is used for the ds.
I see in the registrator that all is well, the little guy running and stuff, and yet they tell me the internet connection was refused :S
I tried to download the patch someone mentioned but it didnt work...help please?

Sorry my first post had to be a whininig- asking for help, but i've looked quite a while over the net, and maybe i'm missing something/overlooked something...

PS: I got a firewall on and Norton Antivirus. Maybe those are the cause? If they are, how do i got about to make em understand my wii isnt a hacker?
