What's your pokemon team?

I hate how everyone thinks pokemon is heaps simple. Its driving me nuts

First there is getting to lvl 100 which takes a while but is easy

Then thee is breeding like 3 generations to get the right moves E.G Kingdra>Charizard>tyranitar to teach it Dragon dance

Effort values are annoying as heck cus you have to kill the right type of pokemon and they give like 1-3 points unless wearing macho brace and you need 510 to max out with max of 255 in each stat.

Natures can take a while to find while breeding

Individual values are so insanely incredibly annoying y'now 1-31 in each stat chances of getting pokemon with 31 in each stat and the right nature.
So 1 in 31 for each stat 6 stats and 1 in 25 chance of getting the nature you want. You do the maths and whats worse is that its se in stone and you cant calculate the Iv until lvl 100 and even thats not accurate.

And dont even get me started on tiers!!

I feel better now =)

Break this down yo.

First there is getting to lvl 100 which takes a while but is easy

Wi-fi automatically does a temporary level to level 100, so most people generally don't level to 100. Also, leveling to 100 makes it impossible to re-EV train.

Then thee is breeding like 3 generations to get the right moves E.G Kingdra>Charizard>tyranitar to teach it Dragon dance

I personally never had a problem with this. So I have no comment... since Smeargle generally took care of my breeding needs when I bred.

Effort values are annoying as heck cus you have to kill the right type of pokemon and they give like 1-3 points unless wearing macho brace and you need 510 to max out with max of 255 in each stat.

Vitamins take care of 100 of those EVs, so if you're doing a 252/252 spread, than you're only doing 410 EVs, the spare 6 EVs can easily be taken care of a Vitamin as well.

Power Item + Pokerus = at least +8 EVs. If you have an Action Replay, you can force the spawn to always +3 EV Pokemon, so you'll constantly get 14 EVs with a Power Item. Which means 11 Pokemon maximum to do 252 EVs.
Also, some Pokemon don't have a 252/252 spread, so it won't take as long for selected Pokemon.

Natures can take a while to find while breeding

Everstone, you're banking on a 50%ish probability of the desired nature based on the female parent.

This is the only annoying thing, I can get all detailed, but regardless of statistics, it's still time consuming.

But you can always do IV battles on wifi, and easily find a Pokemons IVs when they're level 1.

And dont even get me started on tiers!!

Nothings complicated about tiers. Ubers are Pokemon which are broken in regular play.

OU are Pokemon broken in UU play.

OU/UU are based on a Pokemons usage.

There's nothing complicated.

Everything is just time consuming, which is why I stopped breeding. There's nothing intricate, nothing complicated. It's fairly simple if you take it for what it is, simple math and luck.

Not plus Macho brace pharoah.... Power items. Power Brace, Power Weight, Power Anklet, etc.

Sorry for the double post

Snorlax
Roserade
Electivire
Gyarados
Metagross
Salamence

Im looking to go more aggro this time and the above pokes have good natures and great IV's. Now, im kinda borderline on keeping a few of them bc some double up weaknesses.

Another question, can someone explain to me how the move Me First works, cuz I can never ever get it to work.

You know the rules, Storm. Nature and moveset. :p And ofcourse, don't forget to label the poke's purpose.

About Me First, here's a link. If you've got any other questions about moves, just use Smogon, they've usually got the answer.

Thanks CK.

Heres the goods.

Snorlax @ Adamant @ Leftovers @ Thick Fat
-Not sure of Lax's moves yet...
-
-
-

Roserade @ Modest @ Hondew Berry? @ Natural Cure
- Toxic
- Sludge Bomb
- Shadow Ball
- Giga Drain

Electivire @ Adamant @ Kelpsy Berry @ Motor Drive
- Brick Break
- EQ
- Thunderpunch
- Fire Punch

Gyarados @ Adamant @ Salac Berry @ Intimidate
- Dragon Dance
- Return
- Aqua Tail
- Thunder Wave

Metagross @ Adamant @ ? @ Clear Body
- Not sure of set here... Bullet punch?
-
-
-

Salamence @ Adamant @ Life Orb? @ Intimidate
- Draco Meteor
- EQ
- Crunch
- Return

Ok, not solid on movesets obviously. They all have really good IV's, so im not taking the time to breed for egg moves. Ready to EV train. Also, this is trying to be an
Aggro-switchup team. Notice the Gyarados is fierce, but carries T-Wave to cripple those it cannot handle, though Normal and Water get great coverage anyways.

Snorlax - I would use this moveset:
Outrage
Any Elemental Punch
Seed Bomb
Return

Roserade - take out Toxic you have Sludge Bomb and has a 30% of poisoning someone

Salamence - Great but take out Return....

Metagross - Bullet Punch = a no-no. Explosion, Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, and EQ is good.

The other Poke I forgot but your team gets 9/10

Ummm.... No... My Gyarados stays the way it is. Water and Normal get excellent coverage, like I said. And DD boosted Return is scary, ill prolly swap Aqua Tail for Waterfall though. Return on Salamence is for extra coverage.

Also, I stated it before, I dont have Platinum, so move tutor moves are a nono unfortunately.

If I wers training a Gyrados heres its moveset:

Outrage
Waterfall
Dragon Dance
Ice Fang

Unfortunately I may train a Milotic instead :D. Also maybe you will see an Umbreon. here lets talk about my future

And what happens if they throw a Steel type like Empoleon at your Gyarados? Your thoroughly screwed then. My Gyarados is meant to have great coverage and outtrun everything so it can cripple what it cannot kill.
