What's your pokemon team?

I say Wish/Protect just because it's hard having one without the other. Wish taking 2 turns is extremely risky not having Protect alongside to ensure complete safety and full health. I don't know what would replace it otherwise.

In terms of Espeon, I don't have any other experience with it other than the Baton Pass set. Although as a sweeper, what you posted is fine as it is from the look of it.

And your insane playing a defensive doubles team. lol The concept of the team completely changes being doubles ._.

lol. What do you mean?

Ah, true. I should have stated that. Arcanine benefits from it. Thanks CK.

... D'oh! That's what I get for not paying attention, I forgot you had an Arcanine. XD

Don't forget that not only does Protect guarentee Wish heals Umbreon, but it gives you a turn for Toxic to take it's toll on the enemy. Protect/Wish/Toxic is a great use of moves for a stalling Umbreon ... although I don't recommend Umbreon in general.

Doubles is EXTREMELY fast paced and offensive, playing defensive in a doubles match is foolish. Having bulky pokes is a great idea, but having a defensive team takes balls ... and a bit of cluelessness more often than not. Since most doubles teams are designed to compliment the other pokemon that is currently out, they can often shatter each other's counters or help in doing so, which can quickly whitle down your defensive pokes to rubble.

In short, playing defensive in doubles is a very bad idea. It's possible but ... completely unpractical, and you're just asking to get creamed by a doubles expert (me, for example).

Ah, So you are a Doubles expert. Then, In terms of Doubles, could you evaluate my team? t has, somehow, worked for me alot. Usually, Ill have one poke out either supporting or inflicting stat changes, then the other blasting them away with stronger attacks.

Normally I would, but ... as I said before, I know very little about UUs. I have little experience with UUs in singles, and literally no experience with UUs in doubles - mainly because UUs are even less common in doubles. Sorry Storm.

Thanks for rating, CK. Ill take that advice.

Heres some Pokemon I was thinking about for Platinum:

Abomasnow
Toxicroak
Spiritomb
Empoleon
Heracross
Bidoof

lol, Bidoof was a joke.....or was it? But yeah, does anyone have any suggestions for movesets? I already have some ideas in mind.

If you have ideas, post them first. Don't just let people tell you what to do first. Take the initiative to explain your thoughts. And Bidoof is a rockin' Poke if you ask me

And if a plethora of pokemon that can OHKO Groudon comes in? :p

I know you're not being serious, but using Groudon and Cherrim effectively is much more difficult that that ... First of all, you need to switch Cherrim in if it's not leading, there goes it's sash. If it is leading, you probably just lost your sunlight by Kyogre's Dizzle, or you're about to. Good bye power boost.

If it isn't leading, as I said, after the switch you can protect just one turn, a turn it's obvious to smack Groudon around with. Groudon's gone, so all you've got is something like Ho-Oh or an oddball like Physical Dialga. With a scarf they're deadly, but just switch out the vulnerable poke that their physical attacker can KO, and smash it with your other poke. Easier said than done, but ...

Ofcourse, if Cherrim wasn't KO'd by Kyogre's surf and then Palkia's Spacial Rend, it shouldn't have it's sash after the switch, as I said. That means after protect, it dies. Switching it out is pointless, so ... once it dies, your physical attacker loses that needed boost. If it did come in on a free switch, ... well, then you're about to get owned unless you switch in TTar/Kyogre, but considering how common it is for one or the other to be on a team, the strategy is usually beaten the turn it sets up.

In short, it's a strategy with incredibly high risk, and high but not enough return. Basing your team around Cherrim is stupid, and if you don't, you won't get enough out of it. Cherrim and Groudon is scary, but in these days, it's nearly unrealistic. Possible, but unrealistic.
