Ridley in Brawl.

^There was no point of using the Galaxy Bowser. That one was just as big as the 64 and they didn't even use him. That's why they didn't use Galaxy Bowser. Plus, they wouldn't be able to use him anyways cause that one was like just as big as Giga Bowser. So what would happen if the Galaxy Bowser grabbed the Smash Ball? He would take up the whole screen, that's what would happen.

as for your samus statement: The orange power suit made an appearence in MP3 so they could use that one as well.

and yes, the models do matter because models= Moves, looks, and size.

The Orange Power Suit has made an appearance in EVERY Metroid game. From Metroid for the NES to Metroid for the Wii.

Why? Because it's the most recognizable one.

Pokemon Trainer is the first generation one with first generation Pokemon. Why? Because they're the most recognizable.

Link may be his TP model, but it's still the basic Green Tunic. All they did was update his details and spice up his move-set.

And Wario? Sure, they chose his new look, but oh my! What do we have here? They included his Classic look as well. Why?

It's the most recognizable.

Ridley, what's the most recognizable look for him? The one that appeared near the beginning of Prime 3.

I meant does it matter what model they use from whatever game? Of course the actual models matter. They're what you're playing. But do the character designs matter as long as the character themselves are there.

And size doesn't matter at all in Brawl.
What...? Jus' Sayin'...

So why did you say they didn't use the MP3 [Phazon] Suit? You kinda just answered your own question (or rather, statement. I guess contridiction is the right phrase...or rather word....)

Which is why which model you use matters.

It's the most recognizable.

Which costume is default? Which one was in the trailer? Which one is used in the Subspace Emissary? The Wario Ware one. so actually his claasic one isn't the most recognizable.

That, what you just said, supports my statement that they would use the latest model. You said yourself, (basically) "The one in MP3 is the most recognizable"- which is why they would use the MP3 model.

Oh, don't worry, I know your not trying to sound hostile. I'm not trying to either. I like to have friendly debates, not flammy insultive ones ones. Hope ya feel better

You know what i dislike? the fact that ridley fans say "'he's too big' is a terrible arguement" but they either don't explain their logic or it's freaking terrible

only logic i heard: they shrunk bowser

which is complete bullshit because bowser has appeared that small compared to mario before, and stuff in the mushroom kingdom have the power to change sizes, from a chemical found in the mushrooms

That's exactly what I said i the First ridley arguement in the Site thread. I don't know why people think the 64 one was the only one. There been how many....like 5 Bowsers that were hardly bigger than Mario. (Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario Kart.)

And not that it matters (Since Melee came before some) or anything but the Bowsers on Mario and Sonic and other Mario Sports games weren't freakishly huge either.

I was making a point.
"Why didn't they use the MP3 version? Because the Orange one is more recognizable."

They could have updated his move-set to TP Link without changing the model around to much, but that would make sense now would it?

Playing Ocarina of Time link with a Gale Boomerang?

Ridley would be a newcomer, however, and his moves haven't changed to much over the years.

When I think of Wario, I think of the costume he's been wearing for the past fifteen years.

The one they use in the trailers, and which one is the most recognizable has nothing to do with anything.

My point is, yes, they used his new model, but they included the classic one. Why would the do that? Nostalgic purposes. Fan service.

When you think of Samus, what do you think of? Her orange suit, or her fusion suit?

My guess is that the only reason the used his Wario Ware model is so he didn't look like another Mario clone.

The one at the beginning of Prime 3 is the one that has been in Metroid NES to Metroid Prime 2. Did you play the game? Original Ridley is the one that appears.

Thanks, I do too.

I'm kinda confused...cause that didn't exactly counter my statement....but anyway, yes I have ALL of the Metroid games ever made, all the way down to Zero Mission. I'm a big Metroid Fan. Any-who, Ridley would be too big....

AtomicB said:

Not Sakurai, obviously. He thinks that the Wario Ware one is more suitable, which supports my statement that he is using all new models for characters.

AtomicB said:

It means that he perfers the newer models, so it does mean something. If he thought that the classic Wario was more appealing then that would've been Wario's main/Default costume.

Orange.........OK.....and........?

Your guess, but see how you don't know for sure? He's been using Wii models for 99% of the chars, so I'm sure that he did the same for Wario- used the latest model- which is what he would do with Ridley.

Do you think that Ridley could be in Brawl? Do you not think that he would be too big?

And Olimar wasn't to small?

There's no pattern there. You can't read Sakurai's mind. He might have had no reasoning.

Not true. He might have did it because otherwise we'd have three people in Brawl who almost look exactly the same? Mario, Luigi, and Wario.

But I can't read Sakurai's mind, and niether can you. He might have had no reasoning at all behind it.

And Sakurai didn't change Samus, Meta Knight, Mario, Kirby, Pikachu, Sonic, Peach, e ct.

Shoko said:

The orange suit is not Samus's newest suit. Heck, it's her oldest suit. So according to your logic, he would have used the Metroid Prime 3 suit.

the people fight a hand, and the hand is twice(/more) their size

plus you have to think scales, if ridley is the same size as samus, however olimar looks scaled to the pikmin, and in olimar's stage, everyone is small......so i guess that just proves that he fits in perfectly

Captain Olimar is the size of a Quarter. Kirby is Eight-Inches tall.

there is no proof to say that he is eight inches tall, that was 'confirmed' in comics i believe(if i'm wrong sorry) and their not valid proof, another comic said wario was mario's cousin and they hung out 24/7 when they were kids.....but i don't consider wario mario's cousin.....just liek i don't consider kirby 8 inches tall

Okay than.
Captain Olimar is the size of a quarter.

okay and can you prove that mario's not the size of a looney?

stage22_080115c.jpg

compare him to that popcan behind him

and if kirby's on that level, i guess that confirms kirby's size as well

You can show black is white by argument.
I think it's apparent that characters can be rescaled to fit in Brawl. Same goes with Ridley.

If Ridley is what the fans want, Ridley is what the fans get.

mushroomedmario said:
if you rescale ridley, than you have to rescale samus

ridley can't be the same size as samus, it would look unnatural

like a midget

It's a game, they can do whatever they want. Must I remind you?

So are you saying that All the Nintendo characters in Brawl are the size of a quarter? Peach's castle in the size of a small cardboard box?

Looks like they did some resizing.
And are you saying Snake is the size of a quarter?
