I wouldn't say uncreative so much as plain. Y looks completely different from vMewtwo. Mewtwo X, not so much. The aesthetic change is minimal. Ain't particularly good either IMO.

The only similarity I see is the (supposed) version exclusivity. All'a Deoxys' forms focus on all stats associated with an attribute (attack stats, defense stats, or speed). I would imagine Mega Mewtwo X will have a gigantic Attack stat, but I don't think it's Sp.A will get any better (I hope it gets lowered, in fact). Contrarily, Y will focus on Sp.A... or so I would assume, since we don't yet know what stats either Mega Mewtwo will have increased.

... And speakin' of Deoxys, you'd think it'l have a role t' play in XY. Or at least be catchable.

Perhaps if Genetics plays a role Deoxys might be involved, however I kind of doubt it due to it being event exlusive. Not surprised about the Mewtwo Megas being version exclusives. Y seems to have the better ones :l

I have to say Im really liking Froakie's evolution and Fennekin's( I like the witch theme it seems to have going on) I can't wait to see where it's final stage goes. I also like Pyroar and Meowstic. A lot of the Pokemon I feel have been designed pretty well this time around.

Genetics will play a role in the plot. Trollfreak's been leadin' us on too long for it not to.

... But yeah, I s'pose that's a valid point. 'Less trollfreak wants t' completely and utterly destroy the value of the (already overly distributed) 'mon, Deoxys won't be makin' an appearance. T'is unfortunate, as I'd like t' see Deoxys get involved in a main game's story. Get some more lore outta the space virus 'mon.

A lot of the Pokemon I feel have been designed pretty well this time around.

At the very least, we haven't seen a Vanillu-- oh wait... ¬_¬

Jokes aside, I agree. After BW's designs eventually grew on me, I've learned t' be much less judgmental on new Pokes. Lookin' past the natural bias against change really is mighty eye-openin'.
