Pokemon X/Y

They both should be super effective towards each other
The "Water should be super effective against poison" thing makes some sense, but not enough to justify giving Water another boon. I feel like it would make poison types themselves even less viable as defensive Pokemon. I guess offensive poison types would get a boost, but there's more defensive Poison types then offensive ones anyway.

Actual poison isn't the lifeblood of Poison-types that ain't like Grimer. Speakin' of, Grimer actually live in the water (ohai Celadon city), which shows the whole "diluted poison" logic really doesn't apply. Poison should be super effective against Water, with Water neutral to Poison IMO.

... Not that Game Freak will ever apply this change anywho. ._.

Fixed. It would only help! :3

Ice could use a boost too, I mean, the Pokemon themselves. I've delivered the idea of having hail boost their physical defense by 50%, and I also think they should have their movepools expanded. I mean, seriously, so many Ice types have Ice and Normal attacks as their only form of offense. This is not acceptable! No other type has such shitty movepools, even Grass types usually have some status options up their sleeves. ._.

Doesn't make sense for Poison t' resist Water. I'm all for makin' Water less omnipotent (Kyogre should really stop bein' the most used Pokemon evar), but only if it's logical.

Ice just needs t' not suck as badly defensively, like Electric.

Maybe Ice could resist Water. It could freeze some of the water that hits it, making it do less damage. It would help ice types too.

Electric types are only weak to Ground, and it has more then one resist. I think that it's acceptable enough as a defensive type. It's not good or anything, but it's acceptable, imo. Electric Pokemon tend to suck defensively, but this is usually because of their defensive stats.

Speakin' of, Ice freezes Water. I don't think Ice should inherently resist Water, but I do think Water should be weak t' Ice. Walruses and other such animals that live in frozen waters aren't exactly immune t' the low temperature and can still freeze t' death if submerged for long enough. As such, why do Pokes like Dewgong bloody 4x resist it? Makes sense if they have Thick Fat, but what 'bout Pokes like Carracosta or Kabutops that lived in a warm time period? Or Pokemon like Seaking who live in streams as opposed to oceans and 'specially frozen water. They should be weak t' low temperatures.

Ice does need a boost moreso defensively than offensively, but I feel my point is logical either way.

Every time you make a post without any sort'a elaboration, I want t' ban you. /joking, or not?

I've always felt as though Ice should be 2x effective on water, but water should be super effective on ice! When it rains, snow melts. Water turns snow into water!

On the Sylveon topic, (I know I've brought it up before, but) what about Cosmic type?

Plus, what about a mystic/fairy type?

But, there would be conflict types... Like what about fighting vs. fairy, or dragon, dark...? Magic/fairy seems like it would be an overpowered type... Or under-powered...

Snow isn't Ice though. Water moves are typically depicted as bein' cold with Scald as the odd exception. Ice moves like Blizzard or Sheer Cold freeze targets at an otherwise impossible and illogical rate t' deal damage. Water wouldn't instantly; or even quickly at all; melt Ice types like Cryogonal or Regice. Other Pokemon like Glaceon or Articuno which aren't actually made of Ice ain't gonna be too worried 'bout defrosting obviously. That aside, think how icicles are formed. Apply water from an external source and it'l just slowly become larger as opposed to melting. I think Ice bein' neutral to Water is the way it should be.

I've brought up my concerns of a Space/Cosmic/whatever type previously; which also apply to this dumb ol' [STRIKE]Sableye[/STRIKE] Fairy-type some people (incorrectly) think might happen. Neither type is elemental in nature like Fire or Dark, nor does it just make plain-sense like Fighting or Dragon type. If these types ever happen, I'll be disappointed in Trollfreak... not that I wouldn't get over it almost instantaneously.

Water melts ice
Ice does not freeze water
