Pokemon X/Y

This is true to an extent... anyway, I'm going to try to like this game a bit more so any tips on pokemon to look at for competitive?
The new Pokemon? Talonflame, Klefki, Goodra, Greninja, Diggersby, Aegislash, Sylveon, Florges, Trevenant, Gourgeist, and Noivern are the ones I've heard the most talk about. I bolded the ones that are getting particular notice. I think most of the new Pokemon deserve at least some inspection, most of them seem to have potential...

well i've looked at some stats ( again ) and i've realised something, 6th gen is F****** slow! We will see many trick rooms... Diggersby? hell no but i can see some promise in the rest, some more then others.

Heard talk about bulky offense and priority becoming more popular. Not entirely sure why that would be the case. I sorta do, we have some notable new priority users, namely Talonflame, Mega Pinsir, Mega Mawile, Aegislash, Diggersby, Mega Banette (Shadow Sneak, Sucker Punch and Prankster), Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Scizor (not that Scizor wasn't absurdly viable previously), Mega Lucario, and Mega Absol. Klefki and Meowstic if you wanna count priority status, there might be some others but I just pointed out the most notable. Sticky Web being used (not sure exactly how popular it is, but popular enough, I'm sure) also puts more strain on using your actual speed stat to outspeed foes. The increase of priority users also encourages the use of slow, bulky, hard hitting Pokemon...which like using priority themselves.

Prority is good and all but never rely on it. Also the Mega Evolutions are ok but I could happly make a team without them ( and easly at that ). I'll make a... Ludicris Startagy the likes of which no person without a Watermelon could beat!

Added 'Karp and Neosquid. Done and done.

The more FCs, the merrier. What with the Friend Safari 'n all.
Does anyone have a useful Friend Safari? I went on MR's once and only found Lv. 30 Emolga. He's Electric and I didn't even find a Pichu yet.

Speaking of Z, what's the deal with Zygarde and Zapdos?

Zapdos appeared randomly, with no warning (I usually get one) and Zygarde was pretty random too, since no one talked about it in-game.
Zygarde has an interesting Pokedex bio though, and I'm hoping for it to be the main legendary (it's legendary, right?) in this "Z" game.

To be honest, I don't really like Lucario that much, but he's ok in Brawl
... That's a ridiculous insult, since he sucks in Brawl.

Does anybody else agree that these models are way better than sprites ever were? I wasn't too pumped about them at first, but sprites seem soooo mediocre in comparison now. More mediocre than I would have thought.

I posted a link on the previous page if you really want a useful Friend Safari.

Everybody is assuming the third version will be Z for obvious reasons, and for the Zygarde thing you mentioned (Moltres and Articuno can appear too). I think it's likely, but I'm merely using "Z" as a placeholder name for whatever the next (non-remake) main series game is.

Diggersby? hell no but i can see some promise in the rest, some more then others.
Are you ignoring/unaware of Huge Power? I think it has serious potential with its movepool and aforementioned ability. Even if I'm overestimating it, I really doubt it's by much. I'm thinking UU or OU personally.

Do Friend Safaris always give Level 30 non-legendaries?

Moltres and Articuno can appear too
Why wasn't there a warning? In BW or BW2 (can't remember) there was a house and some people in it telling about Thunderus, Tornadus, etc.

And then they started appearing randomly. But it's not normal for Pokemon to just jump out at you out of nowhere like that.

I hate Lucario. So much.

To be honest, I don't really like Lucario that much

Lucario sucks in Brawl.

obvsly. Not just 'cause they're done in 3D neither, simply because they're outright better. Far more polished.

Not in Singles, no.

As Squid said, Gen 6 is gonna be leaning towards priority and bulky things. 'Specially bulky Pokes that can negate their **** speed with priority.

Mega Evolutions are ok

... If you think Mega Evolutions are just "ok", you're in for a very rude awakening.

I reckon Game Freak wanted to ubernostalgia us Pokefans of old into submission. Shame I knew 'bout the bird trio 'fore I ran into mine.

I think Diggersby has serious potential with its movepool and aforementioned ability.

nah

Medicham hits even harder. What tier is it, I ask you? How often is it's Mega evolution used? And what about Rampardos? Power ain't everythin'. 'Less it's typing turns out to be fantastic mid/late metagame, I feel it'l drop to either BL or UU.

For starters, Diggersby has notably more bulk than Medicham, at the cost of very little speed and power (in terms of stats). While it's true that Medicham has Hi Jump Kink, allowing it to hit ~130% as hard as Return Diggersby and ~109% as hard as Double Edge Diggersby, Diggersby has a more powerful secondary STAB move in Earthquake. Medicham gets Psycho Cut or Zen Headbutt, and while Zen Headbutt isn't weak, it is noticeably weaker than Earthquake (and also has imperfect accuracy). Diggersby also has access to Spikes and Quick Attack, allowing it to be far more versatile. Medicham's only priority move was Bullet Punch, and it lacks any sort of entry hazard.

Upon further research, Medicham apparently lacks Swords Dance as well, contrary to Diggersby. A bit unexpected.

Rampardos lacks speed, relies on inaccurate attacking moves, has below average bulk, lacks priority, and lacks Spikes, which is more scarce than Stealth Rock.

I can't speak much of Diggersby's typing right now, but it seems pretty useful. It grants it perfect neutral coverage outside of airborne Ghosts, which are few in numbers and are probably frail enough to be OHKO'd with Thief (aside from sometimes Drifblim, possibly). Oh, there's Bronzong too. But a lot of things have issues hitting Bronzong, and it's not too difficult to take care of from my experience. Edit: Okay, Skarmory, Aerodactyl, Lunatone, Solrock, and Archeops too, not like any of those can really take a physical hit outside of Skarmory, sorta Mega Aerodactyl and I guess Solrock. It's also worth mentioning that it's (I believe) a perfect check to most Aegislash.

Personally, I see no use for Diggersby it just gets trumped by the rest of the options. Question, if i return my pokemon after Mega evolving it does it go back to normal? ( meaning i return it and can't mega evolve it again... )
