Official 'I got a Wii' thread

Well after weeks of waiting and anticipation.... I was on my way to school today and was on hold with the electronics department of wal mart thinking optimistically its probably taking a while because they got some wiis in and their stocking them or something. Then the lady picked up the phone and I asked her if they got wii's in.... and she said..... yes we just got 7 Wii's in today. So I dropped off my friend at school and sped home and got my dad and went to walmart. To my surprise nobody was there to get one... figures since I was probably the only one calling almost everyday to get one... Me and dad got 2 and my mom came and got one.. so i have one and the other two are on ebay along with a zelda game.. hopefully i make a good profit lol. Wii seeker was wrong cuz they said wal mart wasnt gettting shipments in till the 8th or the 9th so good thing I called newayz!!
 
i got my wii at zellers on the 23 dec..and my story well amazing...i had walked into zellers at 8:00 am....and i wasnt expecting to get one....i go and talk to the game section and the guy says they dont have n e more....i had a feeling that something was fishy...so my mother...i went with her....before leaving.. she asks the manager...do you have anymore wii's..and the lady says...go upstairs and wait...so i thought she was going to ask the guy there at the game section...so she goes in the back...and before she comes back....i hear her talkin to the guy..and she says, did u hear anything about the wii's that guy said no....and i thought she was goin to come empty handed...and she came out with the 10 lbs wii box.....i was absolutly stunned...thank you mother...lol
 
I finally got mine two days ago! I called my local walmart and got put on hold for a really long time so i started thinking well maybe they have some, then a man got on the phone and when i asked he said yep, just put them on the shelf we have 13! So i hauled tailed it to walmart and was second in line! Whoohoo! I even whooped while on the phone with him, well hey at least i made him laugh:wink:
 
i gota a wii at target, there were 25 tickets to get one, i was 24th... close call. anyways i picked up my wii, madden 07 & a wiimote, later on i got a nunchuck.
ia ctually opened it out of the box on christmas, a little self-christmas present i suppose :)

Buying three out of seven? I don't know, just seems a little mean-spirited to me, especially at a time when you know that there will be people in your town who are also trying really hard to find one. I was lucky and got my one console quite easily, but there are people who are really struggling to get just one for themselves, and have been trying for weeks. Seeing some individuals "scalp" multiple consoles and then pray on others misfortune of not yet finding one and using this opportunity to charge above the retail price of $250 on eBay. This is nothing personal to the original poster, I know a lot of people have been snapping up multiple consoles when they find them...me personally, I would rather just take the one I want for my home, and then let others have their shot at getting one too. :wtf:
 
I got my Wii by driving one hour east, then back to the start, followed by a thirty minute treck west to get the other remote. My wife loves it as much as I do, and to all of you people who go and buy multiples to try and rip other gamers off for profit, I just hope you realize by doing things like that, it makes bad things happen to you. And deservedly so, but you'll find that out soon enough :devil:
