A couple of my mates smoke the stuff, I'd rather it legalized. Would be a smart thing to do but the government is convinced it's some sort of sin to smoke it here.

I haven't had any time to start any Lord of the Rings, so this goes over my head.

A couple of my mates smoke the stuff, I'd rather it legalized. Would be a smart thing to do but the government is convinced it's some sort of sin to smoke it here.

I take a more realist approach towards the stuff. While legalizing it will be good for the economy, it won't be a financial breakthrough or anything like the days of yore with cash crops. Additionally, there's the matter of its effect on society. We already have plenty of alcoholics running around and causing trouble. Combined with pot, we're not making things any better for the future. Sure, you can argue that more potheads leads to less potential competition for non-smokers, but it just doesn't seem worth it to have people hindered. Sorta like the effects of casinos on people in that it can stunt growth for the surrounding locals.

True, my idea however was the governments so called "Way of fighting drug crimes" and blah blah a lot of uninteresting shite. You legalize it and all the stoners are happy, your drug dealers aren't selling anymore since it's now a legal business and overall we'll have even more homeless people on the street because it's still going to cost something stupidly high.

I just remembered that I played the LotR mmo for a couple of weeks, but dropped it. It was decent for an mmo, but there was no hook for people not familiar with the series.
