Euro/UK Order Confirmations and Denials

Well I spoke to Woolworths HO (Customer Service) at about 4.00pm today and they told me that Woolworths will be getting NO wii for tomorrow, nothing, zilch. When I had phoned earlier they said that the money had been debited from my account and delivery should be for tomorrow at the local store for me to pick up, this all happened within a few hours. Apparently Nintendo told Woolworths that they would not be receiving any consoles for the 8th and they couldn't tell them when they would get any either.

That happened with a mate of mine at Dixons, he pre ordered, got confirmation he would get on day of release, He belled them up to make sure last week, they said he cancelled it, my mate had a huge arguement down the phone with him, till the guy told him to go to his local Dixons and give them his name and the problem and they should sort it out, and luckily they did sort it out for him, so he still getting it for launch tommorrow,

While for myself, im still hopeful Argos will pull through with my Wii, because i got another mate of mine who works at Argos to pre order me one, if i fail in argos, im gonna basically be running all over west london looking for a Wii lol, after college of course XD

My mate doesnt take no bullshit from anyone, he scares me LOL, Anyways most people working at the games shops are dodgy, i mean they could just keep some on the side for themselves, thus reducing the units available for us , though they are customers too.

hi.
Did anyone pre-order wii from gamestation website?
I did and i never got a confirmation e-mail, or any contact of any sort.
When i go onto gamestation website and look at my order it says- order status- incomplete

Does this mean i have done something wrong in the ordering process or does it just mean they havnt sent it too me yet

Im sure i completed the order right because it wouldnt have let me pay for it otherwise.
But its just strnge how they didnt send me any confirmation etc.
Any help or advice would be apreciated, thanks!

anyone else pre-ordered from them? I did, and before they said they were sold out of launch allocation, so naturally i breathed a sigh of relief......but alas, it is the night before launch and still no dispatch e-mail...grr!

my local Woolworths was open tonight till 9pm, and from as far as i can tell there was no signs of no stock. normally they would put a sign up if there was going to be a problem. also they must know how many they were ment to get as they know they wont be takeing anymore orders for the 8th, but are taking orders for the next shipment.

+ i live offshore in Guernsey, so if theres a problem my store would of known by now as they usually get the stock a little early.

I have in my hands right now a Nintendo Wii recieved from Argos Home deliverey which arrived here in Scotland this evening at 5.30pm.


I shall hopefully get another from Amazon tomorrow morning along with Zelda.


That's Christmas sorted for my little lad and my nephew now do you think i can beat TP before the big day??

after been told i wouldn't get mine on the 8th i received a phone yesterday saying i would. i was 10th in line and my local hmv got 9, so obviously someone cancelled. pretty lucky really.

my games i preordered from ebuyer haven't been dispatched though.

I really hope you're right but I just cannot understand why I was told from Woolworths Customer Services that there would be no wii's being despatched to any stores for pre-orders for the 8th, very weird. Anyway lets hope they've made a mistake.
