Christians

i'm not saying the text that was written, was a load of ballony, i have read the bible at least 5 times, also read about many other religions, and thats why i have the opinon i have on religion, and on god's.
the only way to progress is to learn from everything, whether it be learning what to tell is an obvious load of crap, or what has actuall evidence behind it.

ie-in what SPACE did the big bang occur? were was the GAS FORMED? brb got to go to school :p
If time and space are linked, then it could easily be explained by the big crunch theory (added to the big bang theory). Since we already know that energy and matter are interchangable, and time and space are, with the fact that matter is formed, expanding the universe (in effect, since space is nothingness, and can easily be bent by matter - and gravitational pulls) the matter from the big bang would expand the known universe. Also, due to the big crunch theory, the material of the universe gets sucked in and the whole process starts again.

Also, just because something doesn't have an answer, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

1 last point, a theory from the Evangelists have stated that there was once a layer of water surrounding the earth (in liquid form), which is where the water from Noah's flood came from, but they've yet to explain where the water went. Now personally, I believe that is a bigger flaw in the idea of Creationalism than your srguement is to the big bang theory.

Wikipedia's entry
The vapor canopy is an idea adopted by some creationists which states that before the Great Flood the earth was surrounded by a "canopy" of water in either liquid, solid, or gas form, and that the water from the canopy contributed greatly to the flood waters. The earliest water canopy proposal was proposed by Isaac Vail in 1874, but the idea came to prominence in 1961 with the publication of the book The Genesis Flood by Henry Morris and John Whitcomb. Creationists are not agreed on the merits of the idea; for instance, Walt Brown's Center for Scientific Creation opposes it. One major proponent is Kent Hovind.

my theory is everyone on this planet is just stupid.
Gotta agree there.

Including myself. But then I always did have an inferiority complex.

Are all the Christians on here who believe they have a relationship with Jesus coherently stupid, or is it just me?

I'm not talking about morality. I'm talking about a path to 'heaven'. If there's soo many ways to stray from 'the path', why are we given 'free choice' to stray, and why does the path we lead, ever lead on to hell?

The short answer is: Free Will.
We're capable of doing whatever we want. God tells us what things are acceptible to him and what things aren't. We're perfectly free to obey his direction or not, he won't force us. However, he desperately wants us to follow him, he hold his hand out to us, he gives us direction that we need that's for our benefit now and in the future. And morality is a big part of what is or isn't acceptible to God.

AIDS can be contracted from other means (like mixing of blood).

But where did that tainted blood come from? From someone who caught it from sex? If they would not have had sex outside of marriage then they would not have caught it and passed it into the blood supply.
Of course, being imperfect beings, it's impossible to expect everyone to follow those directions. Fortunately, God has given us a provision for forgiveness. However, we still have to live with the immediate consequences of our actions.

Likewise, if unplanned pregnancies are such a big thing, then why don't the Catholic church support contraceptives?

You'd have to ask the Pope about that! :)
I have a hard time finding Biblical backing to a lot of the Catholic doctrine.

lolololololoLOLOLOL

What about someone who got AIDS from an infected needle while they were a virgin, didn't know about it, got married, AND THEN had sex with his/her spouse, who was also a virgin, passing it on to him/her?

AIDS didn't suddenly affect its first victim through sex; there had to be another means of getting it.
