Seems like a real bother either way, though. You'd have to change the rules every match, which would just be annoying. I think simplicity goes a long way in a league such as this; especially when Craptain Failcon fridays are supposed to be pure fun.

I suggest that people watch out for his Toon Link. I don't think that he has used it in the league but he's good with him.

how about also a team match Saturday and a handicap Sunday(sorry no alliteration :/).


here is a layout of what my initial thoughts were,


Team Death Match Saturdays


-obviously a 2v2
-unlimited time(therefore no need for replays[honor system please])
-everything as in team color, stock, stage, items, etc. will be settled between the combatants.
-b/c sometimes it is very hard to get a 2v2 running, if four people somehow get into a match together and wanna turn it into a 2v2 they make their tag for the next match either nay or yay.
- winning team gets 5 pts and losing none.
-winning from cheapness no points
losing team 4 pts.


i like this because it makes the league more interesting and fun. i know it is going to be rare to have a 2v2 but at least it will be an option.

Handicap sundays,


this is for ck mostly ha ha.

-1 on two or 1 on three
-color must and all rules will be decided beforehand
-3 minute time limit or none depending on rules
- as many stock as agreed upon.
-(here is the best part in my eyes) if the handicaped wins it is 4pts per opponent.
if the majority wins, then it will be 1pt for each person.

just a thought. i like this because it will be a step up challenge for ck and others who feel like they are dominating the playing field. also it can give people more chances to score pts(although like bios doesn't give you much pts) and catch up with the others.

Handicap Sundays shouldn't effect the win/loss count, IMO. 2v1 is unfair enough. I also think Team Attack should be on. I feel General and myself are probably the only ones in the league capable of fending off two players at the same time, without Team Attack being on. And even then our odds of winning are terrible.

No complaints over the 2v2 junk. As a suggestion, I recommend keeping Team Attack optional if all players agree. Mainly because only the best of the best can play with Team Attack on (... I can't, though ). It can give an unfair advantage to some players, especially people with experience in Team Attack on. However, completely banning it is unfair if people are willingly want to use it. Thus, optional is probably the best choice. I know you said the rules are up to the players, I just thought I'd bring it up.

Also, as a reminder, FFA Friday is tomorrow; which we should dub as Craptain Failcon Friday, if the higher ups are alright with it. So, who's interested in participation? What's your take on items, stock, etc.?

For the 2v2 Saturdays, the losing team should get 0 points. I don't know why you have something that says "losing team 4 pts." , but it may have been something you forgot to remove. Also, any point awards go into that person's individual stats. Any wins or losses for 2v2 Saturdays should not affect the Win/Loss count, either. That ratio should be strictly based on 1v1 performance. And yes, Team Attack should be in agreement prior to play.

I've also decided that the whole "Teams" thing that was mentioned weeks ago should not be in this League. The focus must remain 1v1...individual competition. It's better to have it implemented into the 2v2 thread.

Handicap Sunday is fine. I know I would never participate in it, though. Not much personal satisfaction in having to team up against somebody to defeat him/her.

It's good to have rules, but only so that people can have the freedom and flexibility to do what they want without us having to re-iterate to them that "it has to be fair and reasonable" (the rules do that for us).

also thanks for the feedback. oh and one more thing i think you shouldn't be ashamed as to be in a handicap match even if you have a partner, you'd be helping others that are stuck at their own high level get even better and you will still have practice and funnies.

Ya, I wasn't trying to set any rules, Bio. That's not my job. I'm just trying to get some standards down for the CF FFA tomorrow. I'll probably jot down the rules in a notepad file (the one I keep my league data in) and bring them up whenever a CF ditto is about to happen. And if anybody objects, we can just change the rules around. It's always good to have standards, yeah?

That means you accept the item level dropping and stock dropping each match rules, as well as the items set, Jon?
