Wii in Australia thread

And the $100 includes tax. The most annoying thing about America is that they don't include tax on the items until you go up to buy them. So I see a Baby Ruth bar for $1.80, think "bargain!", pull out two dollars, then find that it costs $3.09. Not good!

After this Saturday we'll probably have to ask Rudd *says Oceanic while he's wearing his "Kevin 07" tshirt*

Yes Labour ftw! Except I can't vote :( , I'll be able to for the next state election though.

Hmm....They're all bloody incompetent. I'm not fond of either of them. Argh, I got a bloody Hist Elect. exam tomorrow, I know it's not a big deal but it's just that our teachers teaches us nothing, she's basically just an 'er'.....

On topic now, my mum said to me 'you can get whatever you want' WHA!!!!! She was serious, I told she didn't have to worry, but she said that I could have what I wanted because it was easier than her buying stuff for me....I don't see how that's much on topic. I guess I was meant to say in there that I was gonna get GH:III and SMG because of it.

First year I HAVE to vote. I was thinking Liberal for many reasons. But it looks as if Rudd is going to Dominate, even though all his great schemes have been improvements on ones Howard has already had in place (eg. without Howard, Rudd has no idea what to do). :p

Ya I hate it when they do that. You gotta think one step ahead by adding the tax yourself.

Dude, none of my parents are like that. I wish they were a tad more generous gpoleweski

Do keep in mind that most of us have much larger incomes and live a far better quality of life, no complaining!

I'd vote Rudd - but I JUST miss out on the vote... By about a week. No wait, 2 weeks.

And Australia is screwed over on everything. Like, for instance. Get Smart. Time Life Australia is selling Seasons 1 & 2 for around $350. In America Time Life is selling at least SIX seasons for $250 US. In Australia, that's not even that much more exchanged... But let's just say, it's around $300 to work with even numbers.

So, in AUS - $350 for TWO Seasons
in US - $300 for SIX Seasons.

How does that work?

Hold on - I was wrong. It seems Time Life has reduced the price in America (of course) since last time I checked.

There was only FIVE Seasons of Get Smart, but in the US it now costs $199.95

So, lets convert that to Australian = $225.80

Now, let's look at Time Life Australia...

Seasons One & Two -- The BIG offer

$341.95.

I'd by American DVDS if I had a multi-regional DVD player, but I don't. How come Time Life Australia is just a rip? It's like Nintendo - you add the Australia and it becomes crappy.

Im not voting Rudd, There is nothing wrong with the country how it is. More people have jobs, The economy is booming. Housing is expensive but will be alot more expensive after labour bump up the intrest rates. The only reason people are voting for Rudd is because they see these fake adds on tv about work choices. It was in todays paper that all the people in those adds are paid actors that work in TV advertisments for a living. I realise its a personal thing but i always say "If it isnt broken then why try and fix it ?"
