OK, forum... (viewers...?) sometime in the future (I lost my 3Ds, so the first updates gonna be ALOT later, I will post four updates, and will hopefully get to the third gym in each. Here's an update's update: (Don't bother reading this unless you're SplashKing.)

RATICATE:

Single/Moveset (Raticate), in HeartgoldJust received the five Pokeballs from Lyra, yet to catch Purple. It's moveset will be: (Eventually)

-Strength (HM)
-Dig (TM)
-Swords Dance (TM)
-Crunch

Just realized that's Raticate's moveset in my B2 game, other than cut instead of dig, (Which Vibra has).
Is Swords Dance by TM75 or level... Because Bulba says it can't learn it by level up, but I'm pretty sure my B2 Raticate did.

PRIMEAPE:

Single (Primeape), in Black

I have, once again, restarted this challenge. Because the Primeape I had had 31 ATK IV, I was skimming through the game quite well. Then, when 900x everything got hacked in, I restarted. This time, I made it to the E4, but wasn't able to beat anyone other than Grimsley, and since Primeape II had at max 16/- ATK IV, I have restarted again. Like Raticate up there, I have just obtained Starter/HM Slave/Oshawott. I will PM SplashKing (Along with EWoE) to get an egg. On Sunday. I did some maf, and ATK will need to be IV of 21/+. Hopefully. But I'll have Ice Punch anyway soz never mind. /edit.

EWoE (Electric White of Evil)

No Items/Unevolved/Monotype/Moveset/Scrambled (Electric), in White

I have traded all mah 'monz to W2, so I'll PM SplashKing my FC to get me my baby electric types. Pogeymanz as follows:

MAGNETON:

- Discharge
- Mirror Shot
- Hyper Beam (TM)
- Magnet Rise

SHINX:

- Thunder Fang
- Crunch
- Iron Tail (TM)
- Strength (HM)

VOLTORB:

-Thunderbolt (TM)
-Charge
-Swift
-Rest (TM)

ELEKID:

-Cross Chop
-Ice Punch
-Thunder
-Discharge

CHINCHOU:

Will edit in an update for my Fire Red No Item Challenge soon (and no, I ain't just sayin' that; played an hour yesterday).

Karp, help.

Combined Nuzlocke Challenge

1. You may only obtain six Pokemon. You are allowed to obtain more than six only in order to get HM slaves. These HM slaves cannot be used in battle.

If it has t' do with HM slaves, catch with impunity.

FR-NI Challenge Update

Time t' actually be an active Challenger once more. As per usual I unnecessarily planned my team t' be awesometacular since I'm a perfectionist like that. I originally intended t' have the team of Venusaur, Magneton and Vaporeon, but I quickly realized my last FR playthrough had used that same team with Venusaur swapped out for Charizard. So I changed it completely and chose a different starter as well: Squirtle. No nickname since I'm lamesauce.

After owning in my first trainer battle (read: nearly lose from a crit) against rival Derp and givin' that lazy ass old man his parcel (why the hell does the entirety of Viridian not have a mailman?!), I went on a catching spree to preempt the requirements for HM 05: as well as t' find my next team member on Route 3. Must'a KO'd 20 Mankey lookin' for it.

"Wait... that Rattata's pre-battle sprite looks darker than normal?"

Ping!

BY THE HOLY SCALES OF 'KARP, A SHINY RATTATA APPEARED!

After staring in disbelief for a moment, I instantly ordered Squirtle t' Bubble that shinning bastard into submission. Just t' **** with me, it critical hit'd; though it was still just barely outta the red, so I immediately started chuckin' Pokeballs. Good thing I spent every last ****in' Pokedollar on a bunch'a them... On the very first ball, I snagged dat shiny Rattata.

I can't remember the last time I mashed B and saved so quickly. After some celebratory cheer, I was now thinkin' on whether or not I'd use it in a Challenge... Surely usin' a shiny in-game is a never-in-a-lifetime chance, but part of me refuses t' use it without being able to clone. And cloning in Emerald is indeed risky... I want both a shiny Rattata and Raticate, but I sorely want t' use it for the Challenge as well. Oh, such a conundrum... So naturally, I did what any smart man would: put it off until tomorrow.

Deciding I'd sleep on this shiny encounter rather than act on it, I continued the Challenge a tad further. I searched for at least 10 minutes for team mate #2, but... found nothin'. So I looked it up on Serebii, which claimed it was common. "Bullshit... ._." I thought, and double checked on Bulbapedia.

... Then I realized I wasn't on the right Route. But angry I wasn't, since I'm still high on my shiny new trophy. 20 minutes wasted? No ****s given. Onwards I continue t' smash in every trainer's face; including my rival; since Squirtle is overleveled from all that searching. Squirtle'd all over Brock's rocks as one would expect, considerin' I had a Wartortle after beatin' up the sole gym trainer's Pokes. Boulder badge get!

In all my glee 'n glory, I continued on to Mt. Moon and changed my mind on the Pokemon I wanted as team mate #2. Originally I wanted a Nidoking (Nidoran ♂ is found on Route 22 only in Red and Blue... ;_____; I've made that mistake twice now... ), but then I remembered that Nidoking ****in' sucks without TMs. Terrible plan was terrible, so I instead decided t' capture a Geodude.

"Wartortle used Bite! Wild Geodude fainted!"

"... God damnit. ._."

Five Trollbats later, another Geodude. This time I used a Weedle I caught in Viridian to slowly poison it, this time capturing it. That's team mate #2 in the bag. I went back t' fight the few trainers I skipped to help level it up, since level 7 ain't exactly intimidating. With a little bit'a training done, I healed in Pewter City and saved.

Just this mornin', I finally decided what I'd do with my shiny Rattata. Once again engaging in what all wise men would do to make a decisive 'n rational decision, my choice of whether or not t' use it... ... ... was chosen by a coin flip. Heads it was, so Rattata will be a part'a my team. Raticate is just awful though, so I've decided to replace Geodude with my beloved new shiny. A two-man team of Blastoise and shiny Raticate should be enough t' beat the game, I'd wager. Even if the two don't resist any of the other's weaknesses...

Mankey, that new avatar is brilliant. /nostalgia

FR-NI Challenge Update

With the decision t' use my shiny Rattata at hand, I shelved Geodude regrettably since I did waste a few trainers' Exp. on it. Onwards through Mt. Moon!

... No, no. Not at all actually. Wartortle can't stop getin' poisoned, resulting in me rushin' back to the Pokemon center. Not t' mention *Rattata can't exactly hold it's own at bloody level 3. I healed at Mt. Moon's center at least four times before *Rattata learned Hyper Fang and could actually OHKO Zubats (what an amazing accomplishment... ._.).

Onwards to Cerulean, rival Herp wants to battle! An irksome miss with Hyper Fang started things off on a bad note; Sand Attack made things worse with a second miss. *Rattata rage quit and sent out Wartortle in her stead, resultin' in that bird gettin' shot with water. His Rattata came out whereas I sent mine back to battle since she had three levels on his. Sadly, Quick Attack finished off *Rattata before Hyper Fang could one-shot the foe... ._. *Rattata ain't provin' too useful yet. Yet.

Wartortle finished off the not-so-rare rat; shockingly, it actually managed t' beat his Abra and it's Teleport as well. I would've trained some more if my rival had done the same and evolved his Bulbasaur, but thanks to bein' five levels up and evolved, Bite offed it in two easy shots.

Trained a shitton on Nugget Bridge 'n the Route above, allowing *Rattata t' be *Raticate (... golden Rattata is better than red-ish Raticate IMO =/). Expectedly, *Raticate tore through the gym trainers as well as Misty's Staryu in one Hyper Fang each. Even Starmie was felled in one nom, t' my surprise. Cascade Badge get!

Mopped the floor with every trainer from the Daycare Man t' the insides of St. Anne. I didn't realize I was overleveld 'till I arrived at the gym; I thought Surge would have a lv. 29 Raichu. My memory failed me yet again, as that's in Yellow only. Hyper Fang killed all'a Surge's Pokes in one shot easily. Certainly an underwhelming Thunder Badge get...

With two badges in one session, I figured I'd save and check if Assassin's Creed: III's multiplayer was workin'... Which it was, so that's where my update ends. *Raticate is owning and Wartortle will soon evolve. The team is as follows.

*Raticate, lv. 30, Guts (no wonder all those Quick Attacks OHKO'd when it was Paralyzed, awesome)
Lax
Holding nothin', but it's not like I'm doin' a No Item Challenge or nothin'.

Moveset:

Cut
Pursuit
Quick Attack
Hyper Fang

Wartortle, lv. 26
Gentle

Moveset:

Bite
Water Gun
Mega Kick
Rapid Spin

*Raticate has too much STAB, Wartortle doesn't have enough/good STAB... bleh

Pokémon Scramble & Single Challenge Combined!

Hello everyone. As a new member to this forum, I'd like to introduce myself. I am known as Derpotar the Great, but Derpotar usually is enough.

I found this interesting thread here whilst searching for something to do with my old Pokémon Emerald version, which I recently resetted and now want to play again. So I read the rules and found a combination of a Scramble Challenge and a Single Challenge to be very tempting. This basically means, I'd like you to chose the ONE Pokémon I will use on my next walkthrough to save the land from evil and become the new Pokémon Master!

I thought about choosing Mudkip, as I heard you like it and it makes a great HM Slave, as my starter. From then on, I'd like you to chose which Pokémon I have to obtain. Please note that I don't have the possibility to trade on my old versions, so ideally, it should be a Pokémon obtainable before the first 2 badges, as otherwise I consider it too late in the story. So please keep that in mind. :)

My chosen one will be nicknamed "Sierra 117", as a reference to the greatest of lone wolves, the Master Chief from the Halo Franchise.

I am looking forward to hearing your suggestions. At the latest next friday, when my finals will be done, I will let you know which one of your suggestions I will use.

Regards,
Derpotar

Swablu.

Or magikarp.

No: cascoon or silcoon!

Nah, maybe swampert. You can do that quite easily.

P.S I like swampert.

... is not obtainable 'till you've gotten three badges; or was it four... either way, you're a monster for suggesting the hatbird (Storm... -_-).

That said, welcome t' the forums Derpotar; now, that's a grand name; and of course, your Challenge is accepted. =) If you've the will t' veto that useless Altaria, I'll give ya Breloom.

DIAMOND SCRAMBLE UPDATE

I haven't done much since I changed it from a scramble/moveset to just a scramble, so the update's not going to be very long. Plus i don't really remember what happened, so forgive me if I make a mistake.

I beat my Rival and the gym leader at Canalave City (I think that's what it's called, I can't remember) and then went to the library to speak to the professor. We were having a nice conversation until we were rudely interrupted by an explosion at one of the lakes. We (my rival, Dawn and I) split up to search the 3 lakes. I searched the lake I was given and found that there were Magikarp flopping weakly about because Team Galactic blew them out of the water. Even worse than that though was the fact that when I spoke to one of the Galactic grunts, they felt the need to tell me that Magikarp were weak and useless, even to Team Galactic.
(Karp, you have my permission to kill them for insulting the great Magikarp. If you get to them before me, that is.)
And that's pretty much where I am in the game so far.

FR-NI Challenge Update

Made my way through the Rock Tunnel and onto good ol' Lavender town. Smacked Rival Asshole about for makin' jokes 'bout dead Pokemon 'n all that, not really worth mentionin' the details of such an easy victory (... not that I can recall said details anyways). Finally re-named my *Raticate to it's proper name of Josephine.

On my way to Celadon, I was debating whether or not t' use an Arcanine. If I've ever used one, it hasn't been in ages. I'd need a Fire type for Erika anyways since I somehow doubt one *Raticate, overleveled or not, wouldn't get haxed t' death thanks to them low defenses. I decided against it though, even if grinding would be easy with all them weak Rockets 'n Monograss trainers about.

Speakin' of Rockets, I infiltrated their lair thanks to that derptastical poster guard's idiocy and snuck 'round every single avoidable Rocket t' get to Giovanni. Even with two Rock types he lost t' my paralyzed Josephine, so he experienced quite the embarrassing loss. Made my way t' Celadon gym afterwards, skippin' all but two gym trainers on my way t' the target.

Gym Leader Erika wants t' battle (actually she doesn't, pretty sure she'd rather just sleep...) I figured Josephine wouldn't have any problems dealing with her Victreebel. Hyper Fang was a clean 2HKO; would have, anyways. Stun Spore kept 'er paralyzed but good, preventing the KO. One Giga Drain later, Erika's Victreebel had just enough HP t' take a Hyper Fang since it'd move first and use Giga Drain again; 'course, Murphy's Law 'n all that. Josephine was fully paralyzed for the second time...

"Victreebel used Giga Drain!
Critical Hit!"

"... Really? -_-"

Just my ****in' luck. Now "in the red", I was hoping Erika would have it use Acid or the RNG would barely let Josephine survive a Giga Drain and counter with Hyper Fang, but Lady Luck wasn't havin' it. Victreebel used Giga Drain, recovering back to 90% health whereas Josephine was KO'd. What a great, hax-free start. ¬_¬

Sent out a Doduo I caught t' use as a Fly slave and had it use said HM, smackin' off half Victreebel's health despite the fact it was 10 levels under. It even missed the Poison Powder, lettin' me use Peck t' inch it closer to death (wanted Blastoise t' get the Exp.)... and that was mistake #1. Used Pursuit (mistake #2) while waitin' for Victreebel t' kill Doduo, but instead Erika uses a Hyper Potion. Outspeeding next turn, Acid gets a crit and offs Doduo 'fore it can Fly... ... ...

Blastoise gets into the fray and Mega Kicks for the KO. Tangela comes next. Not wanting to take a chance with Bite, even with Tangela's poor Sp.D, I went for Mega Kick again. Miraculously, it hit. Erika sends out her Vileplume which promptly gets kicked outta the battlefield.

... Josephine couldn't KO one Grass-type, whereas Blastoise swept the entire ****in' team. r u delcattin me right meow

Nocturnal decidin' to no longer troll me, in the most unexpected way possible, Rainbow Badge get! T'is a short update, but I'm rather tired and would rather not white out while battlin' a ****in' Pidgey trainer or somethin', so it ends here. The team is as follows:

Josephine (*Raticate), lv. 36

Moveset:

Cut
Pursuit
Quick Attack
Hyper Fang

Blastoise, lv. 39 (grows slower, is higher level? wut)

Moveset:

Bite
Water Gun
Mega Kick
Rapid Spin
