The Official Pokemon Challenge Thread - Black/White Edition

Since i've abandoned my Pokemon Monotype Run, i'm going to do a Pokemon Ruby No Items/Nuzlocke Run to make up for it. Rules below

RULE 1: I can only catch the first pokemon i encounter for a new route/town/cave. If it dies? TOO BAD! If it flees? TOO BAD!
RULE 2: If a pokemon dies, i can't use it anymore. It has to be released.
RULE 3: I have to nickname my pokemon.
RULE 4: I can't use any Items at all.

It takes a lot more than dedication t' beat a Nuzlocke Challenge; especially a No Item one; it takes skill. Well, luck too obviously. An untimely crit is fifty times worse when healing it off instantly is impossible, as well as fainting bein' permanent. It only takes one stroke of horrible luck t' end a No Item Combined Nuzlocke.

Yeah, true. I might try it after I finish my Black Scramble/Moveset run (then immediately regret it).

Anyways short update: I sent over and hatched the wrong egg. Maybe I shouldn't have placed the egg in a box of eggs, but now I can't tell. I hatched a Bouffalant egg, I didn't even know I had, over Eevee. Well, at least I could use him....it could have been worse and I could have hatched a Dratini (waste of time and can't be used).

UPDATE 1
First, i get out of a moving van to see the town of Littleroot Town and see my in-game mom outside our new house. I went in with mom and my mom told me to set my new clock, i'd set the clock and went out of my room. My mom when i got out said that there was a news report outside for my dad's gym, but i didn't get to see him. Then, my mom told me to meet Prof. Birch. I went into his house to see his wife who said that she has a daughter and told me to meet her upstairs. I went upstairs to see her there and we talked, but she went out to study pokemon with Birch. Then, i went to his lab, but he wasn't there. So i went to look for him to find him getting chased by a Poochyena. He told me i can get a pokemon to help him, i chose Mudkip. We beat that Poochyena and went to the Prof's Lab. The Prof said i can keep the Mudkip, which i nicknamed Boss. He also said that he wanted me to go see May, so i'm going to in the next update.

Do we need to complete a combined nuzlocke to be inducted as a champion?
Can I change my diamond scramble moveset to just a scramble?
I'm going to do a single run on sapphire with a Swampert but I'm not starting it until I finish my current challenges.

Yep, a Combined Nuzlocke is absolutely necessary t' obtain Champion status.

Ya can, but I wouldn't recommend it. After all you need t' complete a normal Combined Challenge to become a Champion. It's always a pain in the ass waitin' for movesets as well, so since ya already have 'em it'd be time efficient t' just role with it.

Your Single Challenge is preemptively accepted. :thumbsup:

Ya can, but I wouldn't recommend it. After all you need t' complete a normal Combined Challenge to become a Champion. It's always a pain in the ass waitin' for movesets as well, so since ya already have 'em it'd be time efficient t' just role with it.

I think you're forgetting my monotype/moveset that I haven't started yet.
And I don't need to do the battle tower challenge, correct?

Okay since "TM22" ain't gonna work, DeathPup will have Crunch if ya want a dark-move, (Which is what you asked for right?...) And Thunder Fang otherwise (For coverage), and ye, they are both Special. Sorry. I'll post my mass update later, I'll have to put it together. I had to restart Primeape because No Items wasn't working, HGU is busy murdering the E4, and I haven't transferred all mah dudes to W2, so IWR (Impossible White Run) has yet to start. Raticate 'll start when I finish HGU, which is soon. Oh, and since I might as well try for every challenge, I'm gonna throw out a

HGU is heart gold unevolved. Am I correct?
I needed a dark type move 'cause you need to give one attacking move of each of the pokemons types. Crunch will do fine.

B2SR UPDATE

After beating Skyla, I flew on her plane to Lentimas town and then travelled through the mountain with Bianca healing my pokemon after every battle. Then there was a rival battle at Undella Town which I won. I travelled to Opelucid City to battle Drayden. On the way I destroyed someone's chances of getting a 1000 win streak by beating him in his 1000th battle. Draydenand his gym went down fairly easily due to my Emboar's Hammer Arm. I beat him at 3:59.
Then team Plasma decided to freeze the city with their floating ship and I had to beat the Plasma grunts and Zinzolin. I did and they left the city alone. Unfortunately the Shadow Triad didn't. They got the DNA splicers and left. But not before I had to battle one (which was an easy win). I then used my Pidove to fly my pokemon and I to Undella Town so I could take the Marine Tube straight to Humilau City. I battled and beat Marlon and his gym with my Zoroark. I'm really surprised that Low Kick didn't OHKO his Wailord. It wouldn't have even 2HKO it. I beat him at 4:24.

I'm currently about 20 minutes ahead of my practise run. The next update will be after I get through Victory Road. There's a lot to do from now to then.

SECOND UPDATE

First, i look to find May on route 101 where i can't encounter any Pokemon. I find her on route 102 and battle her and win. Back at Oldale Town, i talk to her and she says that we should hurry home. I go to Littleroot Town and went to talk to Birch, he gave me a Pokedex and Pokeballs. Then, i go talk to my mom and get the Running Shoes. I go to route 102 for my first pokemon encounter on the route and catch a Poochyena which i nicknamed meh. Then, i grind up my Poochyena's levels to LV.7 while healing up at the Pokemon Center a bunch of times. Then i go to Route 102 and after some trainer battles, i made it to Petalburg City.

First Team Update
1. Boss the Mudkip, LV.8, Mild Nature
2. meh the Poochyena, LV.8, Lonely Nature.

Yes, it is Heartgold Unevolved.

Also, Nasty Plot is dark, tho, assuming Karp doesn't have some lame clause 'bout type-move mustn't be status.
