Challenge update:

Got chikorita,beat rival,did not accidently catch pidgey and rattata,caught shadow, the ledyba,and we are on our way to violet city, after some grinding up, of course.

Here's my update on Leaf Green;
Started my journey as you all know and chose Bulbasaur, Pari, (first time doing so yay!) and beat up my Rival's Charmander (what was his name again?). Left Pallett Town sloooooooooooowly because I have no running shoes, goddammit. Beat up a few wild Pokémon on the way, naturally. Got the parcel, delivered it, bought some more Pokéballs. Listened to the guy rant on about catching wild Pokémon. Yawn...
Anyway.
Moved on to Viridian Forest, where I caught a Weedle, named it Orea, to train. Beedrill is funny.
So, trained Weedle into Kakuna and then Beedrill and moved on to Pewter City, but not before catching a Pikachu as a Flash HM Slave.
Pewter Gym was easy, even though Orea did nothing. Pari pretty much dominated the gym. Being a grass type and stuff. Very useful little bugger. Opteined the first badge with ease and moved on to the next route, where I finaly got my Running Shoes! <3 I hate being slow.
Next route, Route 3!
Where I beat up a few more trainers and trained a bit, contemplating again if I should use Nidoking or Queen, but when I couldn't find one at all, I skipped it anyway. Caught a Zubat in Mt. Moon, named it Iridio. And thus I concluded my first day of my Monotype Challenge~ I really have to go train Iridio now.

Glad your challenge is going well, I'm pretty sure you find both nidorans on the route to the pokemon league in viridian city, Also noticed you said nothing about battling your rival on that route.

P.S, Should I make challenge updates longer and more detailed.

OH I forgot about that battle! Yes, I did that. But I almost never visit that route for Pokémon when in that Area for the first time so.... xD

I'm an RPG-er and Story-writer, I'm used to writing long stuff. It's kinda a habit. ^^°
I think it's fun t read/write, but you don't have to if you don't want to.

I like writing alot, but while playing the game throughout the day I tend to forget details, I guess I will have to start writing down occasionally.

^ Guilty of the same, my memory ain't too hot. :lol: I can get real pensive tryin' to remember the unimportant details. Hell, I couldn't remember how many badges I had on my Emerald Challenge for a few minutes.

Yao answered it for ya, but I'll just confirm it anyways. Detailed updates are entirely voluntary, ya definitely don't need t' do it if you don't want to. Some people love t' write their hands off though; myself included; so the occasional challenger does it anyway. :lol:

Are ya now? =) Shame you weren't 'round in the forum's golden days. Had some grand RPs back then, not that I was 'round to be a part of 'em myself. I'm a long-since retired writer after all.

Well, looks like I missed out on that... Too bad. GTS+'s RPG Forum isn't so active either, so I mostly do projects with people I know or write solo. Too bad.

We've been over this before, Nicky... Shuckle cannot be forced upon a challenger to use under the following rule. Pick another Bug for Sharkbutterfly.

1. No picking useless pokemon, i.e. Feebas (MAGIKARP AIN'T USELESS, YO!)

Dirge used Trollblock! It's super effective!
