Ah, I misunderstood the question, sorry. You don't have to use said Rattata or any other Pokemon you catch in your party, but these unwanted Pokemon still do count as the only six Pokemon ya can catch. If you caught any Pokemon thinking it wouldn't impact your party size because of a misunderstanding of the rule, you're free to release said Pokes and continue the Challenge as if you never captured 'em.

Caught isn't the word, "obtained" is. ... Which I should fix in the rules, since all the Nuzlocke Challenges say "catch" instead. Whoops. ^^;

And yes, starters/gift Pokemon count as one of the six you're allowed to obtain for your team.

Okay then, Don't know if keeping ledyba was the best choice but I've never used one, so why not.

i still need 1 more water, if no one gives me one i'll random myself one

One reason why my challenge isn't finished yet.

Screw victory road and aside from that i'm a lazy arse and won't do it until I can truely be bothered.

That's 'cause Magikarp doesn't wanna kill nothin'. Such power can't be used in battle, as it'l induce much more than just fainting. Magikarp almost always refuse to use their true power 'till they evolve into the terribly weak Gyarados.

Lulzy 'Karpjokes aside, this talk of move breeding reminded me of a rule I sorely regret forgetting to instate. As such, the Moveset Challenge has been updated with the following rule:

4. Please do NOT assign egg moves unless the Challenger has the means to breed said moves.

Because of this new (... old) rule, if you can't be arsed, ya don't have to continue your move breeding for a Feebas with Dragon Pulse, Sharksaw.
