SM UPDATE

The last update ended with me beating Wattson and earning the third badge.
I moved on to route 117 and battled all of the trainers there. I then made my way to Meteor Falls and witnessed Team Aqua stealing some weird meteorite. I decided to follow them. When I caught up to them, I realised I never bought any healing items. I decided to battle them anyway. I failed and was teleported back to Mauville City where I decided to have a break and try and earn some coins for TM24 to teach to my Kirlia. I got about 1000 coins (I need 4000) and got bored. So I bought some healing items and returned to battle Team Aqua. I only had to battle Archie this time. I beat his Mightyena with Ninjask and Marshtomp. I switched into Aron to battle his Golbat. Golbat almost beat Aron with a combination of confusion and flinching. But Aron eventually broke through and OHKOed the bat. I beat Sharpedo with ease using Marshtomp.
I then went to Lavaridge Town to battle Flannery. I got through the gym with ease. I didn't leave to heal at the pokecentre at all. I beat Flannery with a combination of Aron and Marshtomp and got my fourth badge.
I healed and headed towards Mauville for some more gambling.

Goldenrod City:

Not even the rival was a big deal. He got most of my Pokemon to low health but with a little bit of luck for criticals he was easy.
After that I left my Xatu in a box so that I have my Krabby as HM pokemon. On the way to Blackthorn City I mostly used Butterfree to get it to level 40. When I arrived I teached Crobat Cross Poison and went into the gym for training. I used Honchkrow with swagger to deal with the trainers. When I arrived at the leader I thought I'd give it a try without further training. Unfortunately Honchkrow didn't win against Gyrados so i had to use Pidgeot for it. Pidgeot lost, too and I had to switch it for Crobat to fight the Gyrados. Crosspoison got a critical so I didn't have to fight much. The first Dragonite was defeated by 2 Crosspoisons and I had a critical on the second one. The first Dragonite paralyzed me and the second delt a lot of damage so I couldn't use Crobat anymore. I tried to fight Kingdra with Butterfree's Sleep Powder/Bug Buzz combo but after the third Sleep Powder it woke up before I could heal Butterfree, so I had to finnish it with Ledian. After the fight I had to go to the Dragon's Den to get my badge. Then I tried to defeat the Kimono Girls and got sweeped by Jolteon.

Sapphire/scramble/water -monotype/no items run - UPDATE 3

More genuine progress, hooray! Witness two more badges, and the capture of the two final pokemon on team Blondiemon. That's right, a badass walrus and the god of the sea.

-When we left off, I was ridiculously over-leveled and on my way to Fortree
-pretty uneventful journey northwards. Defeat the aqua twits at the weather institute, and rival Brendan with ease.
-Get devon scope (Silph should sue their asses), train some, and take on the Fortree gym. Strength from Lady Cray (she cray) and a few rollouts from Miss Milly does the job nicely and I walk away with another badge :)
-Work my way down to Mt pyre. Defeat all the ghosties and ghoulies, as well as some more aqua idiots. I then proceed to take that nice grassy route back to mauville.
-Woop woop lots of plot, I make it just in time to see the submarine stolen in Slateport. Do some more trick houses for training before I make the long trek to Lilycove (Not having fly is such a pain sometimes)
-Even more plot! Its time to tackle the aqua hideout. Pretty do-able, and I also nab a master ball in the process. Next stop, Mossdeep!
-Battle trainers, tentacools and a whole smorgasbord of adversaries, leveling up very nicely on my way to my island destination.
I heal at the pokemon centre, grab dive from stephen and head to shoal cave to catch me a Spheal
-Say hello to Dr. Walter, the male Spheal level 32!
-I surf back to lilycove, training Dr. W all the way. He evolves into Sealeo mid journey! :3 At Lily cove I use the move deleter to make Milly forget surf so that I can teach it to the doctor. I teach Milly Dive to fill the vacuum in her moveset.
-AAAANNND back again to Mossdeep, gawd so much surfing. Right, gym time. I take on the terrible twins with the doctor and Sir Kipper, who use Surf and Muddy water respectively, decimating the foe. Hello 7th badge!
-What's that I smell... could it be?! More Plot! It's time to find Aqua's hidden cave thing. Man I love diving, remember how mindbogglingly cool it was when Ruby and Sapphire came out? Love this game.
-Find the cave, solve the strength puzzles, find Archie, destroy Archie.
-Looks like Kyogre has his knickers in a twist and so goes on a rainy rampage across hoenn. YOU WILL BE MINE. Sootipolis, Ho!
-After enjoying the lovely weather, I make it to Sootipolis and head into the cave of origin to confront my last team member/god of the sea. MASTER BALLIN'
-Meet King Kai, the Kyogre :D

Ok gonna call it a day, should be finished soon! Tune in next time for some Wallace beating and elite four destroying :)

Pokemon Soulsilver Scrambled/Moveset/Monotype Challenge, Update #8
I trained my pokemon to lvl 45 and quickly walked through the Victory Road. As soon as my rival's Magneton was defeated it was an easy fight. I then bought all the tm's in Goldenrod City (they can come in handy) and spend the rest of my money on revives and hyperpotions. Then I fought the Elite 4. I used 1 Pokemon each for his pokemon and didn't loose a single time. I only had to heal 3 of them. Koga was a lot tougher and I lost Crobat, Honchkrow and Butterfree against his Muk and Crobat. I revived them and healed the rest to go on to the next trainer. Bruno was pretty easy with Crobat's Fly and Focus Blast by Ledian for Onix. I only had to restore some PP. The last member of the Elite 4 was easy for the most part , but I almost got sweeped by Houndoom after Crobat was taken out. I thought Pidgeot can outspeed it, but in the end I needed Xatu with Hyper Beam. Now I'm scared of Lance...

The Kimono Girls are surprisingly dangerous in HGSS, ain't they? 'Specially when your entire team is at a type disadvantage against one of 'em/ya can't hit Umbreon super effective.

Yeah I already noticed that in my previous playthroughs :D Got almost defeated by them a couple of times but with mono type it's so bad :/ Is it allowed to save before a fight? I'd like to try some strategies to take out that Gyrados.

Strategic saving is allowed during any Challenges which ain't Nuzlocke Combined or No Item... although it ain't really in the spirit of things.

It's basicly just testing how much dmg it deals. Wasn't needed anyways :D Gyrados is defeated without loosing a Pokemon. Aint no Magikarp so it's ok :D

Edit:Just a quick update...Gyrados was ok but Aeorodactyl was my end... lvl 55 Pokemon it is now
Edit2: 55 would be overkill and just a lot of work and not a challenge. But I should have my team on lvl 50, so that I have more than 1 Pokemon that doesn't get outspeeded/one hitted by Aerodactyl (or just luck by getting a critical hit while it misses his Rock Slide)

Speakin' of, protip to any 'n all challengers: don't go 'round talking to fishermen when doin' a Challenge. Ya might get unlucky and end up battlin' the dreaded 'Karp trainer found in every game.

Hi everyone! I finished my challenge today!!!!! It was amazing!!!

I got a bit carried away and forgot to update, sorry

Thanks to everyone!!! :D

Congratulations :) I was stuck fighting lvl 30 Pokemon to get my team to lvl 50 :/ At least I got tons of speed EVs out of it :D

Pokemon Soulsilver Scrambled/Moveset/Monotype Challenge, Update #9
(I did this while watching Ashe winning in the Orange League :D)
I had no chance against Lance's Aerodactyl in my first battle with him so I trained my Pokemon to level 50 and challenged the league again. The Elite 4 were no problem at all. I teached Xatu Flash. For Lance's Gyrados I started with Xatu and set up Reflect. I used 2 Ominous Wind and got a stat raise. Then I finished it with Hyperbeam and switched to Honchkrow while the Reflect was still up. I got in one Nightslash which had a critical and took it down to half HP. Because Honchkrow was going to faint anyway I used its remaining round to heal Xatu (that really made a difference in the end). The Reflect wore off, but I knew that Crobat can take a Rock Slide anyways so I took out his biggest threat with 2 Crosspoisons. I switched to Butterfree so I can heal my Crobat and then take out his first Dragonite (Thunder) With a Crospoison which poisoned it and a Fly. His Thunder didn't hit so I left Crobat in for his second Dragonite (Blizzard). I survived the first hit, but because it didn't get poisoned it wasn't enough and it beat my Crobat. I used Ledian to fully restore Crobat with Max Revive and then just used Fly 2 times to take it out. For his last Dragonite (Outrage) I sent in Xatu to Flash it before Xatu got defeated. I send in Crobat and attacke it with 3 Crosspoisons to almost take it out, but it survived with its HP in the red area. Luckily one Outrage missed so Crobat didn't get defeated. I used the round he healed Dragonite to heal Crobat. This time the first Crosspoison poisoned it so I used Fly to defeat Dragonite. For his Charizard I used Pidgeot which would have won if Charizard wouldn't have gotten a critical hit, so I had to finnish it with Crobat. After one failed attempt I am the new champ :) (This time with less Revives :D)

Ledian lvl50 (Brave) with Swarm
-Dig*
-Silver Wind
-Focus Blast*
-Lightscreen*

Crobat lvl51 (Bashful) with Inner Focus
-Fly*
-Confuse Ray

That won't do, bro. Ya haven't updated since badge 3... I wouldn't induct ya into the Hall of Fame even if you were playin' an 8 badge game. =/

I... really haven't been enjoying my challenge thus far. I hope it's ok if I postpone it. (Well, i guess I already have.) I would like to do a Mono-Bug challenge on Leaf Green, which i'm sure i'll enjoy a lot more. :/

No worries bro. I've got a Challenge currently postponed myself, as some of ya might remember... >_>; That there Monotype Challenge'a yours is accepted.
