Diamond Palaeo-run (A rock monotype run, using only fossil pokemon!) UPDATE NO.2

-Mill around Jubilife, fall in love with Hamilton the Aerodactyl
-Some much needed grinding in route 204 (fossils are so slow in terms of EVERYTHING... Not you Hamilton, I didn't mean you)
- Own Barry on route 203 with Hamilton and Francisco (kabuto)
-Make it to Oreburgh, Francisco destroys Roark and his whole gym in under two minutes
- Grind some more in the cave on the way back to Jubilife. Archibald (Anorith) is showing potential. Augustus (Shieldon) and Randall (Lileep) however, are painstakingly slow and very weak attack wise, though they can definitely take more than a few hits so hopefully raising them will pay off
-Catch a Geodude as a HM slave. Name her Gertrude, and she proceeds to rock smash her way to Floaroma town (Some hiccups in Jubilife, a reporter in Jubilife TV station almost kills me with a Lvl 17 chatot... It had sing and mirror move, so very annoying! But lo and behold, little Augustus stuck it out and eventually beat it! Aww little cutie :3)
- Head to the wind-works and show the poorly dressed team plasma who's boss with my archaic team
-Battle and train my dudes all the way to Eterna forest. Buddy up with Cheryl, Augustus trolls some Cascoon with taunt
- Stop in eterna forest. It is taking me so bloody long because I am battling everything that appears in grass, trying to level the team up. But most of them have abysmal attack and are super slow, so it is taking EONS.

Essentially, I don't make too much progress as it is taking so much time to train these slow to grow fossil dudes. I am also thinking that I don't even want to have a Craniodos. I might trade over a little Omanyte egg, to get a good special attacker, and bung Cranidos in the day care for when I need him. (Volkner maybe?) I know I should probably swap kabuto out, but I need all the fast attackers I can get! I know Rampardos has awesome attack, but he is oh so very slow, and fragile, and I just don't need a pure rock type. What do you think? Should I swap another pokemon for Omanyte, or just leave it?

Current team:

Archibald - Anorith - Lvl 10

B2S UPDATE

I navigated my way through the Plasma Frigate with ease due to how many times I've been through this section. I beat Zinzolin and got teleported out of the Frigate by one of the Shadow Triad.
I flew back to Humilau and made my way to the Giant Chasm to battle Team Plasma again. I again navigated through the Frigate battling only the necessary Grunts. I wasn't given enough clues to know what the passcode was, but I did know it was out of 2202, 7707 and 9909. I guessed it in my first try :). I battled Colress and beat him. I then battled the Shadow Triad and beat them as well. I entered the cave and prepared to battle Kyurem B and Ghetsis.
I beat Kyurem B and N healed my pokemon before Ghetsis battled me. I was destroyed by Ghetsis and ran back to the pokecentre in Humilau. I rushed back to Ghetsis and used a different strategy. It failed. So again I healed. This time, instead of trying to beat Ghetsis again, I trained my pokemon up to level 60 by battling the Breeder on route 23 over and over again until all 4 pokemon were level 60.
I went back to Ghetsis and saved before I battled him.
This time I beat him. It wasn't easy, but I did beat him. This was a while ago so I don't remember the details of the battle, but I know that when he was down to his last pokemon, I too was left with only 1. Manectric. I used 2 Thunders and they both hit! If one of them had've missed, I would've lost the battle.
I left the Giant Chasm and moved onto route 23. I healed and saved there.
I'll give a team update with my next update, just before the E4.

I'll give you movesets for Abomasnow and Torterra in a few minutes

TORTERRA
- Wood Hammer
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Synthesis

ABOMASNOW
- Stregth
- Grasswhistle
- Blizzard
- Seed Bomb (Egg)

If you don't want to get Seed Bomb, use Razor Leaf

Floatzel -
Surf
Water Pulse
Slash
Water Gun

Hippowdon -
Sand Tomb
Yawn
Rest
Double Edge

Floatzel -
Surf
Water Pulse
Slash
Water Gun

So I'll need to breed Slash, TM for Water Pulse and HM for Surf. I believe I should use Aqua Jet instead of Water Gun because Floatzel has higher Attack than Special

Oh and this. "6. You may NOT assign more than two damaging moves of the same type."

Hippowdon -
Sand Tomb
Yawn
Rest
Double Edge

He's not going to be fun to play is he?

Can I ask you to scrap these and try again?

:( My bad.

Floatzel -
Surf (HM)
Water Pulse(TM)
Slash(Breed)
Crunch(Lvl)

Hippowdon -
Yawn(Lvl)
Iron Tail(TM)
Double Edge(Lvl)
Earthquake(Lvl)

Hope this is a little better. :)

Them level 60+ Unevolved Pokes... Painful as grindin' is, gotta love the Challenge of an Unevolved run. Once again Kajira, welcome t' the Hall of Fame

Ya beat a Rayquaza with your bare hands? pix or it dint happn

My spirit pokemon was Tynamo :(

You're s'posed t' check off unevolved Pokemon. >_> Otherwise Pokes which have no evolutions like Druddigon have a really low chance of bein' selected at random. I do the same thing with RNGing Pokemon for a Challenger's Scramble team. If the RNG selects an unevolved Pokemon, I'll ignore it and try again.

BTW Could I get a rules clarification on General Rule 1. How late is increadibly late?

If a Poke can't be obtained by badge 6, you're free t' breed it.

Machamp
- Dynamic Punch (better find one with No Guard, yeah?)
- Substitute (TM, Old Chateu/Game Corner)
- Focus Punch (TM, Oreburgh Gate)
- Rock Slide (TM, Mt. Coronet)

Magmortar
- Lava Plume
- Thunderbolt (TM, Valley Windworks)
- Smokescreen
- Confuse Ray

Hopefully that there Haxmortar helps ya in your time of need when you're underleveled.

SS-M Challenge Update

Made my way t' the E4 and trashed 'em. Lance was a right pain in the arse, 'n since the battle lasted a long time, I can't be bothered t' recall it. Laziest update ever. >_> I will however state that I accidentally clicked Confusion instead'a Surf when Dirge was fightin' Karen's Houndoom. This resulted in it gettin' off Nasty Plot and... well, let's just say I was salty as all hell at the ending result. The team is as follows.

Tlaloc (Bronzong) @ Bright Powder, Lv. 45
Naughty
Levitate

Payback
Extrasensory
Earthquake (Gyro Ball is terrible in-game...)
Rain Dance

Dirge (Slowking), @ Choice Specs, Lv. 44
Bold
Oblivious

Confusion
Yawn
Surf
Shadow Ball

Facepalm (Exeggutor) @ Shell Bell, Lv. 42
Chlorophyll
Sassy

SolarBeam
Sleep Powder
Confusion
Sunny Day

Lugia @ Amulet Coin, Lv. 47
Pressure
Bashful

Extrasensory
Thunder
Hydro Pump
Aeroblast

Oh hey! Guess what! An update! Miracle, I know right?

I actually decided to play through Victory Road last week and actually cleared it in one sitting (taking me a total of an hour). I'm nowhere near ready for the elite 4 though because of the painful Spec. Def growth Sandslash gets.

Sandslash
Level: 74
HP: 207
Attack: 186
Defence: 187
Spec. Attack: 103
Spec. Defence: 98(ouch)
Speed: 148

My best bet would be to hammer Sandstorm and hope that all the super effective moves against Ground types miss, biggest problem is that i've already had a quick bash at Lorelei and one move caused me a defeat. Hail! All hail the almighty move called Hail because it replaces Sandstorm and removes my Sand Veil ability!

Yep, if you can't find a trading item in-game/it's a bullshit 5% chance a wild Pokemon holds it or somethin' impossible like that, you can trade it in from another game.

Miracle, I know right?

srsly

The good kind'a miracle too, I've been impatiently waitin' t' see more Wiichat seniors get in on them Hall'a Fames. Get that Challenge done, son.

Protip: Swords Dance/X-Attack.

Diamond Palaeo-run (A rock monotype run, using only fossil pokemon!) UPDATE NO.3

That feel when you send over the wrong egg...
-Wahoo, Eterna city!
-Hamilton (Aerodactyl) takes on the whole gym easy peasy, get my forest badge
-Decide that I do want an omanyte so very badly, so I breed one on my pearl game and send over the 'lil egg
-Archibald (Anorith) is pissed at me as I have denoted him the temporary HM slave, and teach him rock smash and cut. It's not as if he will learn any good moves by the time I can reach the move deleter anyway.
- Go underground and dig me up a cranidos fossil. I'll resurrect him and use him for when I need the big guns.
- Silly team galactic and their awful fashion sense are dealt with easily. Result = BIKE YAY
- Get an EXP share on cycling road, things might pick up the pace now (finally)
-Own the trainers on cycling road with Francisco (Kabuto)
-Egg hatches.... POLIWAG!? What!? I sent over the wrong egg! GOD DANGIT
- I run in tears to Oreburgh, stumble over Lucas in my distress. He gives me a sympathy Vs Seeker (YES) And Dowsing machine (EXTRA YES)
- Resurrect a cranidos in the mining museum. Name him Eugene. Stronger than most of my team at the moment, but still, I wanted that Omanyte! :'(

Yeah still not much progress cause I have had lots of Uni stuff, also my eggs are containing THE WRONG POKEMON. Well.. ahem, untill next time

Archibald - Anorith - Lvl 13

Francisco - Kabuto - Lvl 19
