Saved Peeko from Team Aqua, hitched a ride with mr Britney to Dewford. Finally recruited the first 2 members of my team in Sableye (nicknamed Neosquid) and second in the form of Aron (nicknamed bou0010). At level 11, Neosquid ripped Brawly's gym apart, ending at lvl 17. Hitched a ride to Slateport and battles various trainers, including saving capt stern from team aqua raising bou0010 from lvl 10 to lvl 16 now. Leveling up in order to defeat May who is so conveniently blocking my path, gotta get em to about 20 each.

B2S UPDATE
I decided to attempt to beat Elesa's gym without any extra level grinding. I beat the first trainer's first pokemon with a Magnitude. This allowed Numel to level up and learn Earth Power instead of Magnitude. I was really happy about this because it meant I didn't have to worry about all the pokemon with Static in this gym. I beat the rest of her team easily. The next 2 trainers fell to Earth Power. I healed before the battle with Elesa.
Emolga fainted after 2 Lava Plumes.
Flaffy just hung on after an Earth Power and was consequently healed. I used a Rock Smash to ensure that Eath Power would KO.
As Elesa brought in Zebstrika, I switched out into Frillish so I could heal Numel, as he was getting low on health. Numel then 2HKOed Zebstrika with 2 Earth Powers.

I then went to battle Team Plasma and beat them with Frillish (this is after a trip to the pokecentre). Hugh healed my pokemon and I went to battle Heartbreaker Charles. I'm not sure how, but he managed to KO Frillish and Elektrike without losing any pokemon himself. Luckily I still had Numel with Wish support from Espeon; which was enough to win the battle.

SS-M (Psychic) Challenge Update

Despite the incredible hype created by catchin' that *Aron, I decided t' start doing Challenges two at a time. Helps t' keeps things fresh all the way to the end of Challenges. As such, I began my Monotype (Psychic) Challenge on my Soul Silver. Started off with Chikorita since it don't matter (protip: always choose your favorite starter whenever ya won't use it for a Challenge... if it's Shiny, you'll be glad ya did). Did all the beginning guff and traded a dumb ol' Rattata for my Bronzor Egg. Lately I've been wantin' my Challenge teams to be composed of Pokes I've never chosen, so I decided t' go with this strange ol' mirror.

For once I'll actually nickname Pokes as well. I had a recent discussion 'bout the Aztecs, Mayans 'n other ancient civilizations, so I decided t' give Bronzor a mythological name. Bronzong does have that absurdly strange face like the mask-like appearance many ancient gods of certain cultures have, so I figured it'd fit. I nicknamed Bronzor Tlaloc, after the Aztec god of fertility and rain of the same moniker. Bronzong is known as the bringer of rains that farmers would pray to, so I think it's a decent nickname... albeit quite out there.

Bein' a Steel-type, Tlaloc plowed through Sprout Tower and Falker's team with ease. It learns Hypnosis at level 7 IIRC (lolsobroken), so Falkner's Pidgeotto didn't even get t' Roost once since it's dumb. Zephyr Badge get!

Saved there so I could get some shut eye 'n count me some oh-so adorable Whimsicott. The [STRIKE]team[/STRIKE] single Poke's stats are as follows:

Tlaloc (Bronzor), Lv. 13
Naughty
Levitate (w00t!)

Tackle
Confusion
Gyro Ball

Hypnosis

Man do I love GSC and HGSS. Had they the great plot of BW, said Pokegames would without a doubt be my favorite.

B2S UPDATE
Instead of using Frillish in the battle against Clay like I originally planned, I used Camerupt. I used a few curses to increase my attack and defence stats. Then it was just a matter of luck, hoping Clay wouldn't use Bulldoze. He didn't, which allowed me to get his badge.

I then planned to dominate the PWT with Camerupt. Unfortunately, for the battle against Hugh and Cheren, I used too many curses and fainted as a result. Luckily Espeon was able to KO the remaining pokemon. For the battle against Colress, I leart from the other 2 battles, and only used Curse once. I beat his team easily.

Bou and Neosquid both reached level 20 before plowing through May and her pokemon.
Wally was nothing more than a footnote.
Dug up some dirt in Wattsons gym, can't quite get past his magneton... So off to train we go!

Bou level 23
Neosquid level 24

I'm particularly fond of Blaze Black/Volt White. The hack consists of increasing the difficulty of trainer and wild pokemon battles by increasing the amount of pokemon held and their levels. It also allows you to obtain every Pokemon within the game.

Where could one get ahold of these hacks? They sound fun to play :D

On another note I've FINALLY got my interwebs back, so I'll give you a quick rundown of my scramble/moveset for black 2 so far.

Gots me a Tepig and beat an Oshawott
Spent half an hour before finding me a trusty Riolu
Trained Riolu up to level 15(?) before doing the ranch sidequest and challenging and beating Cheren
Got me some Eggs
Hatched a Solosis and Bulbasaur
Levelled Solosis up to about 17 and took on the gym (He had Psyshock I have no idea how :D)
Hatched Eevee and Omanyte and took on the Plasma grunts.
Headed to Castelia
Did the Sewers bit while levelling up Bulbasaur
Bulbasaur evolved into Ivysaur
Riolu evolved into Lucario
Took on the gym with a level 22 Ivysaur and beat it rather handily
Did a movie rather awesomely
Toddled off to Nimbasa
Battled the subway train champs
Stopped Eevee from evolving into Espeon (and cried while doing so)
Did a stint on the battle subway, got 13 straight wins
Used the BP to get me a Water Stone
Eevee evolved into Vaporeon
Went and trained for a lil bit
Took on the Gym and beat it rather handily.

The team :D

Ivysaur - 30 - Male - Modest - Growth, Razor Leaf, Venoshock, Poison Powder

Solosis - 26 - Male - Lonely - Hidden Power, Psyshock, Light Screen, Recover

Vaporeon - 18 - Male - Hardy - Dig, Quick Attack, Water Pulse, Wish

Lucario - 26 - Male - Bold - Force Palm, Counter, Strength, Work Up

Omanyte - 13 - Male - Calm - Constrict, Bite, Withdraw, Water Gun

No idea when I'll play next but should be soonish :D

B2S UPDATE
After leaving the PWT, I saw a Team Plasma member run past me. Hugh decided to follow him despite Colress telling him not to. I followed him. Not because I had a choice, but because I wouldn't be able to proceed much further in the game if I didn't. I beat them all pretty easily, but who doesn't?
Once the Shadow Triad made us leave the Frigate, I ran through Chargestone Cave avoiding as many trainers as possible, deciding I'll come back to battle them after I get the Lucky Egg. I got to Mistralton City and got a Masterball from Prof. Juniper for some weird reason. Once Juniper and Skyla had finished speaking to me, I went to Celestial Tower to get the Lucky Egg. I gave it to Manectric (who had evolved in Chargestone Cave) to make grinding easier. I battled the Breeder with a Ducklett and Tranquill until he was at a high enough level to battle and beat Skyla's gym. It was easier than I expected it to be and I got my badge.

Manectric and Camerupt are both level 37. Frillsh and Espeon both still need a bit of training.

Karp, if we're doing a no item challenge and we find a shiny and this shiny happens to get our pokemon to low health or even KO it, can we use items to heal them to ensure the catching of the shiny?
And if it manages to KO our pokemon in a nuzlocke, can we continue using the KOed pokemon?

Aye and aye. No Challenger will ever be penalized for doin' whatever it takes t' catch a Shiny.

SS-M Challenge Update

Made my way to Azalea t' nab Badge #2 and scare off them Pokemon-abusing Rockets. Down in Slowpoke Well I caught my next team member; a Slowpoke. I've been compared t' this derpy Psychic type more times than I'd like, so I humorously gave it the nickname I use for myself most often: Dirge. Due to it's low level I had t' count on Tlaloc to beat Bugsy and his damnable Scyther. Since I taught it Rock Tomb, even the mightiest of unevolved Bug-types couldn't break Tlaloc's defenses in time. His other two metamorphosing Bugs didn't stand a chance obviously. Hive Badge get!

Smacked my sore-loser of a rival about and made my way t' Goldenrod; however, I stopped in Ilex forest t' teach Dirge Headbutt for obtaining my next Poke. I knew for a fact Pokes knocked outta trees in National Park are a higher level than those in Ilex forest, so I went on up there t' find my third team member: an Exeggcute... which was a pain t' find. The very first Exeggcute had an undesirable Sassy nature. The next two were both Impish, so I was forced t' catch even more... ._.

From there, it literally took me half a ****in' hour just t' find one more... and ya know what? An untimely crit offed it. Just my 'Karp damn luck. -_-; I found another one quickly at the least; and quickly, it was also KO'd by a crit.

"... ... ... I ****in' quit."

After a temporary [STRIKE]rage quit[/STRIKE] coffee break from Nocturnal's trollin', my internet which was out finally fixed itself. This allowed me t' finally check the Sassy Exeggcute's IVs; and ya know what? They were good. REALLY good. I TORMENTED MYSELF FOR A ****ING HOUR AND A HALF FOR NOTHING!! It's catching that god damn Druddigon all over again! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

... So I entered the Bug-Catching Contest t' put that bullshit behind me 'n improve my mood. I caught an award-winning Lv. 14 Scyther at full HP, namely for use as an HM slave, winnin' a Sun Stone in the process.

Went back t' Goldenrod and with Tlaloc's Steel-hard defenses, I easily put Whitney's whiny ass in her place. A combination of the yet-to-be-nicknamed Exeggcute's Leech Seed and Tlaloc's Hypnosis put it down with essentially no fight. After three Rock Tombs I outsped it too, allowing for the occasional flinch via Extrasensory. Couldn't'a been easier. Plain Badge get!

Spent a lot'a time training with trainers t' get Dirge 'n Exeggcute up to Tlaloc's level as I headed on towards Ecruteak... very much wary 'n worried 'bout Morty's utterly overpowered Gengar. If I had a Normal-type, or at least somethin' that learned Shadow Claw, I wouldn't have to be catious. Sadly that ain't the case. I took 'em on without hesitation, but Tlaloc was easily 2HKO'd by Shadow Ball, cutting off only 'bout 25% of it's HP with Extrasensory... ... ... t'was my very first White Out in a Challenge, ever. Needless to say, I was mighty disgruntled.

I derped off t' train with all the trainers around and in Olivine to level up Tlaloc, not settling for anythin' but it evolving. I defeated every trainer on Route 40 and in the Lighthouse, but was still short three levels... two trainers in Mt. Mortar later, as well as two Rare Candies, Tlaloc finally evolve. Now slightly overleveled and with a surprisingly large Attack stat; and Payback learned early via TM; I had no intention of losin' to Morty this time.

As expected, Payback ruined Gengar in one shot, it's Shadow Ball not even a 3HKO on my dear Tlaloc. His Gastly and two Haunter didn't stand a chance obviously. [STRIKE]Fog Badge[/STRIKE] Revenge get! Now able t' Surf, I made my way back to Slowpoke Well and picked up a King's Rock, gave it to Dirge, then evolved it via trade. I can use Slowbro in any Challenge (not that I ever will... probably), so I decided t' evolve it into it's lesser-used evolution... that, and it still had over 10 levels t' go 'til evolving into Slowbro anyways.

All that's left is to evolve Exeggcute and catch one last Poke, then my team is finally complete. :D I've been watchin' the Pokeathlon's shop hopin' to find a Leaf Stone for sale, but haven't had any luck for the past three bloody days. Hopin' I can get it tomorrow... but for now, that's a wrap. Saved here. The team is as follows.

Tlaloc (Bronzong), Lv. 33 @ Shell Bell
Naughty
Levitate

Payback
Extrasensory
Gyro Ball

Rain Dance (it's moveset is already complete :D)

Dirge (Slowking), Lv. 24 @ Mystic Water
Bold
Oblivious

Confusion
Yawn
Surf
Shadow Ball

Exeggcute, Lv. 25 @ Miracle Seed
Sassy

SolarBeam
Sleep Powder
Reflect
Leech Seed

I am disappoint it takes Exeggcute ages t' learn Psychic STAB (two more levels just for Confusion)... it won't get Psychic 'til I make my way to Saffron City neither.

Cool. Just wanted to check just in case something like that happens to me in the future. Just wanted to see if I'd have to restart the challenge because there's no way I'll ever willingly let a shiny escape . Even if it means starting a challenge again.

Hi,

I'm new to this challenge mode thing, I've just got White 2, not even played it yet.
I'm looking for a tough challenge for my first run through.

I'm looking at doing an Scramble, Monotype, no items run. (Unevolved also if its possible)

Looking for some suggestions for a team.

//Reflection :)

You aren't half jumping into the deep end here are you?
Personally I'd stick with a max of 3 challenges but I guess I'm a wimp ;)
What type are you looking for if you're sticking with Monotype and how many Pokemon will you be using?

Last edited:
Haha if it's Monotype you need to stick with one :p

Serperior for Grass
Zangoose for Normal
Braviary for Flying

Have fun :p
(By the way don't start until Splash_King accepts your challenge) :)

Welcome

What type will you be using?
If normal, I'll give you Eevee. If grass, [strike]Leafeon[/strike] Lileep. If flying, Scyther.
