Update t' the rules definitely comin' later tonight.

Are challenges undertaken in unofficial games counted (in this case Pokemon Flora Sky, a hack of emerald)? If so, I am in progress for a ground mono-type in Flora Sky, a Nuzlocke in Flora sky (different version), and a No Evolutions in Leaf Green.

I have also previously completed a Sapphire single-pokemon challenge with Swampert, if that counts.

Challenges started or completed outside the thread aren't eligible t' be accepted, sorry friend.

As for hacks, I was asked 'bout their legitimacy quite some time ago and gave a decisive "no"... but I'm not so sure anymore. I definitely wouldn't allow those Challenges to fulfill any requirement to become a Champion, but perhaps they can still be inducted in the Hall of Fame.

My opinion ain't very decisive this time 'round, so... what're y'all's opinion on hacks, Challengers?

I'm particularly fond of Blaze Black/Volt White. The hack consists of increasing the difficulty of trainer and wild pokemon battles by increasing the amount of pokemon held and their levels. It also allows you to obtain every Pokemon within the game.

I've not had experience with any other hacks.

I think it's you have a good idea in allowing it to get in the HoF but it doesn't count towards becoming a champion.
I personally have absolutely no experience with hacks so I don't know what they're like.


I'll have an update for my SM and B2S challenges soon (by soon I mean any time within the next few hours) including a team update.
Oh and those new rules won't count for the above challenges will they?

B2S UPDATE

I got the eggs, hatched them, then stated training them in the Virbank Complex until they got to level 20. Except Eevee/Espeon. I trained her to level 21 so she could learn Psybeam.
Once they were at the levels I wanted them at, I challenged and decimated the gym with Espeon's Psybeam. I then went to pokestar studios and made a film (which I didn't feel like watching). Once I was done, I battled Team Plasma, chased them to route 20, battled them again, ran back to Virbanm City and sailed to Castelia City where I got my bike, saved and moved onto my Sapphire challenge.

SM UPDATE

I started training my Ralts to level 20 so it could evolve into Kirlia. Once that was done, I challenged Brawly and beat him quite easily with a few Confusions from Kirlia. I then travelled to the spot where I battle May, battling every trainer I could find in the way. I then finished the training in the grass before the battle. Again, I got everyone to level 20.

Went ahead and mopped up Roxanne.

The rules have been updated!​

The following rulesets have been modified: General Rules.

When individual Challenge rulesets are updated, you do not have to heed these new rules for any Challenges you're currently engaged in. However, any and all new or modified General Rules must be heeded for any Challenges, even if they've already been started.

No new Challenges yet (two are in the work and nearly done), as last night I was... er, distracted by a little somethin' related t' Smash Bros. called "Project M". These updates were finished yesterday actually, I just forgot t' edit 'em in. >_>

12. To become a Champion, the following requirements must be met:

- Read these walls of rule-text.
- Complete every single Challenge type and enter each individual Hall of Fame, bar the Battle Tower Challenges.
- Complete three Combined Challenges total.
- Complete at least one Combined Challenge composed of three or more Challenge rulesets.
- Complete either two Combined Nuzlocke Challenges, or a single Combined Nuzlocke Challenge composed of two (or more) rulesets.

Note that Combined Nuzlocke Challenges do NOT count towards either requirements concerning the typical Combined Challenges, unless you have already filled the quota for the final requirement of completing Nuzlocke Challenges.

If we were crazy enough to do a Nuzlocke/single/scramble/moveset/unevolved/no item challenge, could it count as:

- Complete at least one Combined Challenge composed of three or more Challenge rulesets.
AND
- Complete either two Combined Nuzlocke Challenges, or a single Combined Nuzlocke Challenge composed of two (or more) rulesets.




B2S UPDATE

I found Team Plasma in the sewers, beat them and then went to battle Burgh.
I used Numel for this gym due to mostthe majority of the pokemon in there having a 4x weaknesss to fire. It was too easy and I didn't even need to heal before the battle eith Burgh. His Swadloon went down to a Lava Plume. I broke Dwebble's Sturdy with a Rock Smash and then KOed it with a Magnitude 10. Leavanny hit me with a Leaf Blade and almost KOed me, but I survived and Koed it with a Lava Plume.
I then travelled to route 4, had a battle with Colress and kept going on to Nimbasa City where I healed and saved. I intend to use Numel again for this gym because of super-effective ground moves.

If someone actually completed that, I'd think it was rigged lol. But no, it wouldn't. What's the fun in makin' compromises? :lol: Beatin' a Combined Nuzlocke with three or more rulesets is definitely somethin' worth boundless praise, but I wouldn't want it t' be a (minor) shortcut to becoming a Champion. For example, if I were t' incorporate a reasonable rule for Combined Nuzlockes counting towards requirement 4 (Complete at least one Combined Challenge composed of three or more Challenge rulesets), I wouldn't be forced t' do another Combined Challenge to become a Champion. Allowing that rule would essentially be a shortcut.

It literally only applies t' me, likely not ever gonna apply t' no one else's Hall of Fame entries neither... but 'ey, shortcuts are lame. T'is my point.
