The Moveset Thread

I would've never guessed they'd figure out a way to bring over the buff/debuff mechanics and moves from the Monado arts. Other parts were more obvious, like Shulk's vision system being simplified into a down B counter. Still, I find that moveset to be pretty darn good.

What are you talking about?

Removing movesets that were created before the newcomer(s) in question joined the series is just an insult to whomever made it and however much thought they put into it. All movesets should remain.
Oh, I see what you mean. Sorry.
Then I think he should change his post so there is a spoiler with 'Old suggestions' in.

... Why? The only thing wrong with creating a moveset is creating one for a character that already exists. And even then, people can touch up their movesets so that they're not just copying Nintendo's ideas in different words. All of these movesets are completely original, and it doesn't matter whether the character they made it for ends up in Smash or not. This thread is for entertainment purposes and the official game doesn't change what we made and thought of on our own.

OK, I'll stop talking about this topic now.

Because Koopa is the actual name of Bowser
Or more simply put, Koopa is Bowser's Japanese name

Alica Vassin

The forum failed. I am going to repair my post until it is back to normal. It might take a while.
OK, I am going to redo Flame Kitty (I got a new name name) and I may do Lucina as well (you know... clones).
I suppose I could do Chrom as well. That way I could figure out a new final smash for 3 fire emblem characters (Lucina, Robin and Chrom).
Let's go.

Alica Vassin Moveset
Image Unavailable
A wild cat has been shredded. All that's left are bones, a bit of fat and organs. She is still alive, but is dying. She tries to move, but fails. The forest is burning. The fire is getting closer. She knows there is nothing more it can do to stay alive. The fire gets closer, when a pile of ash falls down on top of her. She is engulfed in it, out of sight. Suddenly, she jumps out of the pile of ash. Well, more like the pile of ash jumps into the air, in the form of a taller kitty. She lands, growls, and you can faintly make out shining eyes underneath black ash. But this isn't enough. She pounces into the flames...

She is just below average hight, she has medium weight, she does stand on 2 legs, and can go fast, but doesn't have too good recovery.</font><br>

Neutral B: Fireball Rapids
She will shoot fireball, pretty much the same as Yoshi's final smash fireball except about half the size, maybe a bit smaller. It goes as fast as Yoshi's one, and can be shot almost as fast as Falco's laser. It does just below average damage and good knockback. Doesn't run out, and can be blocked by a shield.

Side B: Flame waves
Can be charged. She unleashes a curved wave of fire that deteriorates in 3 seconds. It hurts everything it touches, and goes nearly as fast as her fireball. If you get hit by the middle of the wave, you cannot escape it and you get 'moved along' until it breaks. Good damage, varying knockback.

Up B: Fire bomb
An explosion will occur just below her (which will pretty much cover the whole bottom half of her body), launching her into the air. Launches you high enough to nearly grab onto the ledge of Final Destination if she is at the bottom of the screen. After she goes up she will hover down, able to move sideways freely. Does about 12% damage if the opponent is below he when she does it, and does 8% to herself. She does not have the ramming ability that Lucas and Ness have after they have been launched.

Down B: Discharge
Ash will spurt out underneath her, which will go up in flames if you walk over it. The type of effect that the PK Fire does when is hits you. Low but fast damage.

Final Smash: Flames Wave Rapids
She will teleport to the middle of the screen, yell 'RELEASE THE POWER!!!' and unleash 4 flame waves. These are like Tabuu's, except they don't instantly KO, they do about 15-20% each, they do not immediately break your shield (although they break your shield by about 40%, meaning that dodges are better), and they come out every half a second. They also stop when they hit a surface (I mean, the part of the wave that hits a surface), and will create a wave similar to Kirby's Final Cutter projectile.
Any breakable object will be destroyed by these.

Grabbing: Her grabbing range is slightly further than most characters, but a third of the distance of Link's chain.

Pummel: She will hit you with her knee. Simple.

Forward Throw: She will spin around once and launch you. You will be thrown forwards and very slightly up.

Back Throw: Alica knows how to combo. She spins round the other way, throwing you behind her as she does. You will go diagonally forwards and into the air.

Up Throw: Bit like a short hop, and when she stops going up you will be thrown into the air.

Down Throw: I'm getting a bit sick of the word throw now. She will put you under her right foot then stamp on you quickly. Might look a bit weird in Super Smash Bros., but should work if the animation is done right.

Neutral Attack/Jab: In the first set of jabs she will just hit you with her claws, once with her right claw, then her left, then her right again. In her second set of jabs, she will do the same thing except she does 4 hit, and the last 2 are more vigorous and powerful than the others.

Neutral Air: A spin, like Meta Knight and Charizard's.

Side Tilt: She will slice you with both of her claws at the same time.

Forward Air: She will hit you with her left claw then immediately after with her right. The first hit is slightly more powerful than the second one.

Back Air: She will kick out behind her with one of her legs, then immediately withdraw.

Up Tilt: Like Pit's, except kicking 2 times instead of one.

Up Air: 2 hits into the air, one 0.2 seconds after the other.

Down Tilt/Crouch Attack: She will kick out with one of her legs.

Down Air: A spike, like Shiek's. Except it can be cancelled when you are going down, to stop accidental suicides.

Dash Attack: She will slash upwards with both of her claws, making an arc animation in front of her for 0.3 seconds, before it fades out. The arc does not do damage, the slashes do.

Forward Smash: She turns to look towards you, charging up a smash, then she will smash the space in front of her.

Up Smash: Like Toon Link's.

Down Smash: She will smash down to the left with her left claw, then immediately after that she will do the same thing the the right with her right claw.

Roll Dodge: A simple roll. Has very little after lag.

Sidestep Dodge: 'I don't want to get hit by this attack. I am going to back out of the way of it.'

Stage Entry: There will be a fiery inferno, then a rush of smoke, then Flame Kitty will emerge from it when it disappears.

Victory Pose #1: She will put on a cute face and meow, purring.

Victory Pose #2: A little torch light will appear in front of her and she will chase it around in an endless circle, like a normal cat.

Up Taunt: Growl. Growl.

Side Taunt: Do the same thing as her second victory pose, for 1 second.

Down Taunt: 'Come on! Don't be afraid... I'm only here to kill you.'
Dun Dun Dun!

<span style="font-family: arial">Lucina is the daughter of Chrom from the future and has the mark of Naga, known as the Brand of the Exalt, on her left eye. She is a kind and determined princess with a strong sense of justice, who believes that saving the world is her mission. She loves her father dearly and is always worrying over him. Her sword, the Parallel Falchion, was originally thought to be a separate weapon from Chrom's Falchion, but was later revealed to be a version of the same weapon brought back from the future. Her birthday is April 20th. Depending upon whom Chrom marries, Lucina can be the sister of Male Morgan ,Inigo, Cynthia, Kjelle, or Brady, or be an only child. She is also Owain's cousin and possibly Female Morgan's cousin as well if the Avatarmarries Lissa or Emmeryn.</span><br>
<span style="font-family: Verdana"><font color="#333333">I'm not going to change her weight or anything. Leave it like it was originally.</font></span><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Neutral B</strong>: Activation Strike</span></font><br>
<span style="font-family: verdana">She will put her sword vertically in front of her, and it will make the counter noise; then it will glow. Afterwards she will slice down with it. Cannot be charged, but if you press B twice then she will strike immediately, instead of waiting a second. Has half a second on ending lag, meaning it cannot be spammed easily. Does about 7% damage on each hit, and the same knockback, whichever part of her sword hits you. The whole attack takes 2.5 seconds.</span><br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong><br>
Side B</strong>: Zooming Slash<br>
</span></font><span style="font-family: verdana">This attack is similar to Captain Falcon's except you don't do the grab at the end, meaning you will end up behind your opponent. The slash is also yellow, and is faster and wider. You will dash forward, slash your opponent (launching them into the air) and finish behind them, open for juggling and combos. High damage and good knockback (can cause KOs potentially easily).</span><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Up B</strong>: Warp Signature<br>
You know Wolf's down B? Well, this attack starts off similar to this, except the circular shape is yellow, and thinner, and there are 2 of them, one is thinner and in between the outer arcs of the rounded shape. Then her and the warp shape will disappear, then reappear some distance up. Goes high enough to get from the bottom of Final Destination to 2/3 of the way to the platform. Doesn't do damage, but the warp signature will push anybody out of the way, and off the platform they are on.<br>
</span></font><br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Down B</strong>: Sparks Counter<br>
She puts her sword on the ground and scrapes it against the floor, making blue sparks, which light up. If you are right next to her at the time you will take 4% damage and slight knockback. So it can be used offensively...<br>
But that's not the point.<br>
If somebody attacks you when you are using this attack, Lucina will block it with her sword, jump up quickly, flip, and strike her opponent. High damage and knockback.<br>
</span></font><br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Final Smash</strong>: Brand of the Exalt</span></font><br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana">She will say the same thing that she says originally (which is I think 'time to change fate'), which is pretty cool; then something different happens. A Brand of the Exalt symbol the size of Lucina will come out of each corner, and go to Lucina. Then she will do the animation of her original final smash, but won't move while doing it. And when she strikes, the symbols will fly across the screen to their original corners. Then they will come back and circle round at the edge of the screen, slowly breaking apart. The debris of them will do little but fast damage, and can be blocked with a shield easily. The actual symbols do a lot of more damage if they hit you. About 15% when they are coming in towards Lucina, and about 25% when they are knocked across, and 5%-10% when they are circling around. Once again, they can also be blocked by a shield, and don't break them instantly.</span></font><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><em>Neutral Attack/Jab</em>: This is her original Side B except you don't move, and it does not make the sword a different colour.</span></font><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><em>Neutral Air</em>: 2 slashes, one 0.25 seconds after the other. Same animation as her original jab.</span></font><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><em>Back Air</em>: She will stick her sword out behind her, animation based on her original Neutral B.</span></font><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><em>Up Air</em>: She will stick her sword into the air, like Link's Up Air. Animation based on her original Up Smash.</span></font><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><em>Down Tilt/Crouch Attack</em>: She will swipe her sword across the ground twice.</span></font><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><em>Dash Attack</em>: Pretty much the same as Ike's except much faster.<br>
<br>
<em>Forward Smash</em>: Like Marth's old Neutral B (the one from Melee) except it doesn't make the sound that Marth's Neutral B does.<br>
<br>
<em>Up Smash</em>: Based around Ike's Up Tilt. Instead of just putting her sword above her, she will bring it round from the side of her body, and it will swing round over to the other side of her body. Is quite a quick attack, but does a lot of damage.</span></font><br>
<br>

<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Up B</strong>: Swing Flash</span></span></font><br>
<span style="font-family: Verdana">He swings his sword around quickly, making a blue arc around most of his body, then he will be flung upwards and at the end of it he will do the same swing animation that he does at the start. Similar animation to Kirby's Final Cutter, I suppose, except he doesn't plummet down again. Does average damage and if done at the right time, he could hit you with both of his slashes. If you are just above him when he starts, you will be flung into the air as well, but will end up underneath where Chrom ends up and be spiked down by his next slash. When done on the ground his first slash will not go underneath him, it will go round above him, then he will be flung into the air.</span><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Down B</strong>: Sparkle Shines<br>
</span></span></font><span style="font-family: Verdana">Lots of green, sparkling light particles will appear around him. This will damage any opponent 3% each 0.2 seconds they are in it, and do little knockback, meaning it is easy to trap opponents with it. On the other hand, it does not damage shields at all and won't last long enough to even damage the opponent if they are shielding in the first place. The start up lag is pretty severe, but the whole attack last 3 seconds, and if you are trapped in it then when the attack is finished you will take 5% of damage and be launched away. It has a 2.5 second cooldown, though. No spamming for you. </span><br>
<span style="font-family: Verdana">When used in the air, it does not affect your falling speed at all, but you can trap opponents while you are falling so you and them will both die to the bottom of the stage. And this attack can also not be cancelled in the middle of doing it, so if you accidentally use it in the air near the bottom of the screen... your screwed. But who would try and use a Down B as a recovery move anyway? A Meta Knight user? Screw them.</span><br>
<br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><strong>Final Smash</strong>: Flip-slash</span></span></font><br>
<font color="#333333"><span style="font-family: Verdana"><span style="font-family: Verdana">Chrom will jump into the air, then fly (not literally) towards the nearest opponent, spinning (the flip like spin, not Link's), and when he hits you he will repeatedly flip strike you 3 times before he lands. If there is more than one person on screen and the nearest one of them happens to be in the air, he will do the same thing except after he hits the nearest opponent, he will fly towards the other person (if they aren't behind him). Each smash does about 15% damage and the ending strike does a bit more, around 20%, and high knockback. To avoid the strikes, roll dodging will help to get away from the spinning Chrom, but it will be easier and quicker to just Sidestep dodge at the times when he strikes you, and you'll take no damage. Although, once you get hit by the first strike... there's no escape. <br>

<font color="#333333"><strong>Final Smash</strong>: Thunder trap<br>
</font>This the same type of final smash, as it is one that you have to actual hit people with for it to work. Now, when you use it, you will slash out with the Levin sword. When you hit somebody, him and you will both glow, and the rest of the screen will go dark. Then Robin will rapidly fire things at the victim, shooting out mostly Thunder and Arcfire moves, although sometimes the Nosferatu moves. His final move is where he hits you with all of his moves at the same time, sending you flying. The whole final smash lasts 6 seconds. It's most likely an instant KO, but you can be lucky.<br>
And only 2 people can be trapped in it at the same time. Sorry 8 Player Smash lovers.<br>
Oh, and I forgot to mention. Every other character on screen will freeze when the final smash is happening.<br>
This is exactly the same for both male and female Robin.<br>

<strong>Ridley</strong> Moveset<br>
<br>
<br>
Ridley is a high-ranking Space Pirate, the archenemy of Samus Aran, and one of the most common recurring characters in the Metroid series, appearing in almost every Metroid game with the exception of Metroid II: Return of Samus, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime Hunters. Ridley's appearance is considered similar to a skeletal dragon with glowing eyes. Ridley is known for being very defiant and persistent; though Samus has defeated him many times, he always manages to return and do battle with her, either through his healing abilities or robotic enhancements. As such, Ridley is fittingly referred to as the Cunning God of Death in his Zero Mission official art. Ridley is considered the main antagonist of the series, despite not typically acting as such in any individual games.<br>
<br>
The model is the same as the one is the Boss Battle. Ridley fills up a space slightly bigger than Charizard, and he has 7 jumps in total (plus a recovery move); the most amount of jumps in the game. While being quite big, he is not heavy, and can fly high before coming back down. Most of his game is in the air, as his special attacks are more effective in the air. He is tall and slightly below average weight (as of his thin, skeletal appearance). He can also glide, like Pit, Meta Knight and Charizard.<br>
(note that I don't care gliding isn't in the game any more, it's an awesome feature and I'm going to keep it here)<br>
<br>
<strong>Neutral B</strong>: Plasma Ball<br>
This attack is used by Meta Ridley in The Subspace Emissary, rather than normal Ridley. As Ridley is scaled down in this moveset, so are the Plasma Balls; but they are still deadly. They have similar attributes to the ones shot by the Meta Ridley boss, except size, damage and knockback. It can be charged (like Samus' lazer), and can also be stored to fire later; but only if you charge it in the air. A non-charged one is small and does little damage and knockback, but a charged one is deadly, having very high damage and knockback; around 25%. <br>
And making it even worse, it only takes 2.5 seconds to charge in the air, and in the air it can be angled by moving the control stick before firing it. When used on the ground, it takes 4 seconds to charge and cannot be angled, but goes slightly faster, making it harder to dodge. <br>
<br>
<strong>Side B</strong>: Plasma Bolts<br>
Plasma Bolts are the arrow-like shaped flaming things that Meta Ridley fires. They are not scaled down and cannot be charged, and have hardly any starting and ending lag; but they don't do much damage or knockback, and are better for racking up damage as of how many you can fire in the air and how fast you can fire them. When you use the attack in the air, 1 bolt will be automatically fired every 0.3 seconds, 5 bolts in total, and you can either start shooting them at a down angle, an up angle or from the middle of his restricted arc shaped area that he can fire his bolts. I can't explain it any better, if you have seen this attack from meta Ridley then you will know what I am talking about.<br>
<br>
<strong>Up B</strong>: Plasma Shuttle Loop<br>
I know that Meta Knight already has a Shuttle Loop, but I had to give Ridley this as it's one of his attacks from the SSE Boss Battle. However, it does not end with a glide; instead it ends with a simple plummet to the ground, which can be cancelled by pressing the special button; in other words, pressing B.<br>
But while he is doing this shuttle loop, several small plasma balls will be fired in front of her, which he has no control over. This is just an addition to make it more deadly. But like in the Boss Battle, staying in the middle of the loop should prevent any damage, as the fireballs come out in front of him while he is going up and when he plummets.<br>
<br>
<strong>Down B</strong>: Roaring Winds<br>
Ridley will roar, producing a visible wind effect, which will push you away quickly. It only does damage if you are making contact with his head when he does it, otherwise it can just be used to stop your opponent from from getting back onto the stage.<br>
<br>
<strong>Final Smash</strong>: Plasma Rain<br>
Ridley flies up, screeches, and releases massive plasma balls out of his mouth, one by one, every 1 second. They have exactly the same attributes as the ones that Meta Ridley fires, and 4 of them will be fired in a space below him. It's good to use it when you are in the middle of a small stage, or just plainly on top of somebody.<br>
<br>
<em>Neutral Attack/Jab</em>: He hits you with his left claw, then his right, then his tail. The tail swipe does more damage and has more range.<br>
<br>
<em>Neutral Air</em>: Ridley spins around with his wings outstretched.&nbsp;<br>
<br>
<em>Side Tilt</em>: He hits you with his left wing, then his right wing.<br>
<br>
<em>Forward Air</em>: Ridley swipes out in front of him with both of his claws.<br>
<br>
<em>Back Air</em>: Ridley lashes out behind him with one of his claws.<br>
<br>
<em>Up Tilt</em>: He lashes upwards with his claws.<br>
<br>
<em>Up Air</em>: Ridley hits the air above him with his tail.<br>
<br>
<em>Down Tilt/Crouch Attack</em>: He swipes the ground with his tail.<br>
<br>
<em>Down Air</em>: He slashes underneath him with his wings. <br>
<br>
<em>Dash Attack</em>: He scrapes the ground with his tail, creating sparks. Like the attack that he does in the Ridley Boss Battle.<br>

Because an 'A' is exactly the same as a tilt.
And you didn't mention smashes.
And a side dodge is a roll, and a dodge is a sidestep.
There is also no such thing as a ground attack or a ledge attack. Any attack you do on the ground is a tilt (or a jab) and on the ledge it is no different.

EDIT: Wait, is the ground attack what you do when you get up from lying down, and the ledge attack what you do when you jump back onto the platform?
I didn't know.
