I think tripping was a very unnecessary addition to Brawl. I didn't mind it though.

I did. You would sometimes just trip randomly out of nowhere, and it got annoying. Also there are many combos that are risky of tripping.

I was never too competitive, so yeah. There were times I've tripped through getting KOed.
Yeah, anything random and inconsistent isn't good for competition. There should have been an option to turn it off.
