Super Smash Bros. 4

roxas 4 smash 4

if Nintendo did that, I would be so amazed and extremely enthusiastic. Dual Key-Blades FTW!!!

On another note, I would love to see one of the characters from dragon ball z used as a trophy assist. so many ideas: goku's instant transmission-Kamehameha, gotenk's super ghost kamikaze attack, chiaotzu's suicide attack, etc.... so many possibilities......

So I just had the thought thay we'll have three characters revesled at E3.

We'll have one revealed in the Digital Event.

We'll have another revealed as a "WARNING: CHALLENGER APPROACHING" at the end of the Smash tournament. Sakurai may come in to play as the new challenger against the champion.

Finally, Sakurai will reveal a third character at the end of his discussion.

I think something like this could happen. At the very least with so much Smash happening on June 10th I don't think we'll see only one newcomer.

That sounds very believable. The amount at least, though I'm not sure if he'll announce one in the interview... That seems kinda odd to me.
Multiple ones in the Direct seem fair enough, especially if you count in veterans.

As would I. Sure as ****'s never happenin' though lol.

... Actually, if Kingdom Hearts had a level of popularity rivaling say, Zelda, it would be plausible. Kingdom Hearts characters are known for their world-traversing shenanigans. Though if it happened we'd definitely get Sora, much to my dismay...

I wouldn't say Kingdom Hearts is all that far behind Zelda in popularity, and never say never. It won't happen in this game to be sure, but if the third party trend keeps up, Square Enix is the next big name. As long as they establish any sort of stronger partnership than they do now, SSB5 may see a Squeenix representative, and I do believe they would go for Kingdom Hearts. Now like you say it WOULD be Sora though.

If I remember properly, Sakurai's mentioned that he didn't include Ash Ketchum in Super Smash Bros. Brawl over Red because he wanted only characters that originated from video games. So I doubt there'd be any anime characters in Smash soon.

As for Squeenix characters... I'm really indifferent towards who they add. I might as well as throw my two cents in about this though. I think it'd be cool if they used a character like Geno from Super Mario RPG to represent Square Enix. He also has ties with the Mario franchise, so I think it'll work. Plus, fans have been begging for his return for years at this point.

Namco characters... I honestly don't know what kind of attacks Pac-Man would perform in a fighting game, unless he rides on Mokujin like he did in Street Fighter X Tekken. (But, I think we all know how fans reacted to that game. *shudders*) Pac-Man is, however, Shigeru Miyamoto's favorite video game character, and I think it's reasonable to say he has a lot of authority in Nintendo. (He's the reason why Paper Mario: Sticker Star has a paper-thin (heh) plot.) That being said though, I don't see why so many people despise him.

For Namco, they have a lot of popular characters, they can really use anyone, and since they own Bandai, they could even include a Bandai character for all we know. I'd like to point out that characters like Mametchi from the Tamagotchi games (developed by Bandai) have been in Mario Kart Arcade GP 2, and characters like Don-chan from the Japan-only (but insanely popular in Japan) Taiko no Tatsujin series have been in the most recent Mario Kart Arcade GP DX. This doesn't mean they'll make it into Smash, but I like to believe it's worth noting. Particularly Don-chan, who's plastered all over the place in Japanese arcades.

It had a nice roster though. Besides the non exclusives.
