Super Smash Bros. 4

Personal preference doesn't come into it though. I'd prefer Link to use his shield offensively, and his projectiles get scrapped for close-range moves. But that'd make absolutely ****-all sense (... though a shield bash wouldn't be too Farfetch'd, not that it'l happen). What's best for a character's aesthetics and balance is obviously moar important.
 
I'm not using it as an argument right now, I'm just stating that's what I'd like to see.
 
Will it still be OP if someone shields, you bounce a bit in the air and they're able to attack you? I would definitely want to give it a try.

Yeah I'm pretty pumped for that Thunder now :D I already really liked Pikachu in Melee and Brawl, but I would love to see some change(s).
Also: I freakin love combo-ing in SSB games since it's not that easy, so if they focus on that, I'm gonna be even more pumped :D

For starters I want to see most of the Brawl characters return that haven't been announced yet, such as Yoshi, Meta Knight, Solid Snake, and Melee favorites Mewtwo and Roy.

I also want to see characters like Dr. Mario be reskins of Mario, like how the male Wii Fit Trainer is to the female one. I think it would be cool to have characters like Louie and Alph be Olimar reskins. I think this would resolve most people's issues of wanting characters in the game that are too similar with other characters. If Mr. Game and Watch makes it into the game (and I hope he does) I think it would be cool if he got a Paper Mario reskin, since they share quite a bit in common, such as being able to use hammers, and both are completely two dimensional.

As for newcomers, I really want a Fire Emblem: Awakening representative, although I'm torn on who I want. If I had to choose though, I would probably choose Anna. Not only is she the mascot of the series, she's in (almost) every game making her a great representative, and I think she would be an interesting playable character. It also expands on the female roster, which is also nice. I think Magnus would make a good Kid Icarus character, but seeing how Rosalina made it in I'm going to assume Palutena's gonna be in instead. Dark Pit I can live with as a reskin of Pit.

I think when it comes to third party characters, I'm on the same boat with everyone about Pac-Man representing Namco, but I also want Geno from Super Mario RPG to represent Square Enix. Seeing how he's a fan-favorite in the Mario fanbase, I think it would be cool to see him playable. His attacks could be really powerful, but since he's made of wood he'll probably be one of the lightest characters in the game, making him a lightning bruiser.

There's other characters I personally want in the game, but I can't remember who they were, so I'll post again if I do remember.

Yeah, she was one of my mains as well. I actually hosted 2 Brawl tournaments with all my friends and some of their friends.
The rules were simple: You'd have to pick 5 characters and place each of them on a different digit of a dice. 6 meant re-roll.
The 2nd tournament had a little change: You'd have to pick 4 characters and place each of them on a different digit of a dice. 6 meant re-roll and 1 meant your opponent could choose between your 4 characters. Both of the times I picked Pikachu as one of my characters. In fact, I won the lost tournament and played the finale with my Pikachu against my best friend's Falco.

Ugh you wanna see characters returning? I wanna see as less as possible returning. In fact, if they would release something like a SSB-Underdog game with characters only that never existed in an SSB game before, I'd play it for as long as possible :D (Bowser Jr., Shyguy, Waluigi, Daisy, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, Slippy, Peppy, etc etc)

Yeah I thought of those reskins myself as well, that would indeed be pretty awesome. Obviously I wanna see as few as possible characters with almost the same move-set as the other character. And it seems to be the case by now, since all new characters announced yet have really original move-sets :)

I don't know much about Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus, but I do know that Anna and Magnus look pretty awesome in Google Images, lol.

Geno would indeed be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better in my opinion.
