Is that the last update?
At the end he thanked all the developers etc. Seemed like a sending off update to me

Really Nice update, even if we can only play samples. I'm seriously thinking that mother 3 will be in there as an unlockable.

man they are really using all the memory on the disc aren't they. well it is 8.5gb but still there is a crap load of content.. i wonder if this game will pull in enough fighting genre lovers to make the wii the primary fighting console.

I don't think so, but maybe a really good reassurance of wii being the funnest console.

Wow that was a genius moves on his part. include free demos of the classics that made the Brawlers so memorable. It's all just a marketing gimmick to get us to but more VC games, but it's done in such a good way that it is bound to work.
I mean sure that one file in super metroid with all items and levels unlocked will be fun to play..see how far you can go before the demo runs out.

I could even see people competing like a race to see who can get the furthest. But after a while its just going to get annoying and you're going to want to buy the game to see the rest of what happens without the time restrictions.

a very well done marketing move. I love this update.

Games like that are fairly small in comparison to the size of the disc. To put it in perspective: it takes around 25 Mega Drive / SNES games to fill up the Wii's flash drive, and that has half a gigabyte of space.

Heck no. The SSB series is very different to the average fighter, the Wii is hardly the best choice for fighting games in general.
