Pokemon X/Y

Trick Room. <3

T'is a shame that battle was staged... but the idea of Topsy-Turvey + a -2 Sp.A move is a neat one. It directly counters an opponent's strategy that increase a Poke's stats on the first turn. I'm sure that exact move combination will be wholly obsolete by the time competitive Doubles is established for XY, but it's thought-provoking none the less

Serebii's sources claim that the rumors of Pokeamie havin' a positive effect during battle are true. More importantly, they offer actual details as to these effects.

Serebii said:
The unique feature with Pokémon Amie is that after you have utilised the feature, you will come to see various effects in battle. These features range from superficial to largely beneficial for the trainer which allows for greater strategy in battle. Most of them occur randomly, with the rate currently unclear. The effects known are as follows

Text: The introduction message, and various statements throughout battle change in context
Critical Hit Ratio: The ratio of Critical Hits is increased
Evasion: The Pokémon's evasion is increased
The following may be attributed to Pokémon Amie based on the visual representation, but it still isn't clear

Paralysis: The Pokémon has a chance of healing itself from paralysis
Survival: The Pokémon has a chance of enduring a hit which would have knocked it out
We'll provide details on the various effects as they come

Is that the sound of a new clause, I hear?

'Til it's banned.

Wonder Launcher doesn't have certain items banned; it's banned as a whole. Pokemon Amie will follow suite, I'd bet ya

9001 on that.

[STRIKE]Shut your ****in' mouth, ya mushroom-lackin' maggot.[/STRIKE] Ban hammers fix everythin', none the less my 'Karphammer.

... But no, I mean competitively it'l be banned. Nigh-guaranteed. Do ya really think they'l allow somethin' that can randomly give a free Endure at random, or especially somethin' that gives a constant Evasion or Crit ratio increase? Pokeamie just adds more hax to the game. That's exactly what everyone doesn't want.

Pokeamie in competitive battling is equivilent to Smash 4 havin' four different versions of tripping, all of which have a chance of happening individually, for any action.

If it ain't optional, just don't use it. Not for Pokes ya battle with competitively, at least.
