A new Pokemon anime!

During the Pokémon Game Show, it was announced that a brand new anime will run to coincide with Pokémon XY. This anime is called Pokémon: The Origin, features Red & Green, is based directly on the games, and is to run from October 2nd. It's currently unclear if this is a special or a series but we'll provide information as soon as we can. The show features Red as he starts his journey and battles his rival Green, and the Gym Leader Brock. Pictures courtesy of Dengeki

I'm not sure if it's just a special, its own series, or what, but I hope it lasts a while, because it looks more promising than the other anime.

Wrong thread, technically, so what. Maybe I should make it its own thread, but I'll wait until we have more info.

I like that Mega evolutions work like switching does in a Rotation Battle. That way, it isn't immediately revealed you're holdin' a Mega Stone.

It only just clicked for me, but one'a Fennekin's attacks in that there XY demo is Psybeam. Obviously this doesn't guarantee it'l evolve into a Psychic-type, but that's definitely a possible hint at it's future dual-typing.

Also, at the end'a this video there's a real quick hint towards a new game. Whether it's the next Colosseum or the next Battle Revolution, who knows.

I have a feeling its going to be better... You can already tell its much more true to the games then the Original... I mean, it's RED.

Plus the trailer looks a lot like the Trailer for B2/W2, which IIRC used the names Nate and Rosa, plus used dialogue and exact locations from the game...

I think so too. It was a shake when B/W introduced showing off your team, but knowing that before you attack would not be fair at all.

I love the idea of the reverse typing with Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark, Water/Fighting, but is there any evidence?

And as much as I want Fennekin to be Fire/Psychic, if its a Special Attacker, I can see it still learning just a Special Move...

And then becoming Fire/Fighting ;_;

I think having another Battle Revolution would be stupid because all the battles are in 3D anyways... Plus Battle Revolution wasn't very good anyways, they should've just made a 3D version of the Emerald Battle Frontier.
