....srsly? You guys are hating on it because its proportions are off? I like it a lot more then Mewtwo, who's fuglyness was off the scales.

And then there's the complaint about it "ruining Mewtwo", which isn't the case. The complaints about new evolutions "ruining" past Pokemon makes some sense, since evolutions are mostly intended to act as an upgrade (not 100% so if you factor in Eviolite). Forms are like alternatives as opposed to upgrades, so there's really no reason to complain so hard. You don't like Newtwo? Don't use it.

Well, if there's, say, two forms, each form has perks over the other form. It generally seems as if they were intended to be about as good. With evolutions, you kind of feel like you're supposed to evolve a Pokemon to its final stage; a problem somewhat alleviated by Eviolite. For example, I'm sure you've heard me bitching about how much I do not want Sableye to get an evolution. For one, Sableye is fine how it is, and doesn't need an "upgrade". Two, the evolution would look inferior (probably, to me), and I would feel like I'm supposed to evolve Sableye into the thing. With forms, this is not the case, with the possible exception of Rotom and Kyurem. If you only like one of two forms, you shouldn't feel like you're supposed to change your Pokemon into a particular form; both of its forms have their own perks without the use of Eviolite. Use whatever one you like best damnitt.

The thing's head (and tail.......extending from its head?) is too big, for [strike]Arceus's[/strike] Magikarp's sake.

Watch the Newtwo reveal trailer, good sir. The proportions only look off in the movie promotions 'cause of the angle Newtwo is portrayed at... that and the fact it's 2D. In 3D it looks way better IMO. I think that's part'a the reason why initial reception of this alternate form was so bad: first impressions are the easiest t' remember.

If ya still don't fancy it even after viewin' Newtwo in 3D, I'm thinkin' that as well. Aversion to change affects us all. 'Specially when it comes to Pokemon design, for whatever odd reason.

Mewtwo is ugly as all hell, t'is why he's so well received. Both'a it's forms Scald the eyes, but in a good way. Speakin' of, I find Newtwo a tad less ugly. It's design is more streamlined, smoother.

Mewtwo is certainly better designed than Newtwo, but I certainly don't think the latter's design is ****. The opposite really, I think it's decent enough.
