I have heard that the ev doubling affect lasts forever but I have also heard that it doesn't. Does anyone have any proof of wether or not it stays?

Once a pokemon becomes infected with Pokerus it keeps that EV doubling effect forever. However, after a while that pokemon is unable to spread the Pokerus virus to other pokemon, therefore keeping as many pokemon infected with Pokerus is what you want to do.

If you infect a pokemon with pokerus and put it in your box, it will never become immune.

his good only if your running a sandstorm team, used to bring sandstorm again if tar's is out, and if your opponent used another weather move. but i wouldnt recommend to use it, for other purposes LOL

I heard/read that in the old chateu in eterna forest if you have a gba pokemon game inserted you will find wild haunters and gengars instead of just ghastlys. I have pokemon emerald in my gba slot and I am only finding ghastlys. Anyone know why?

You have to go to the room with the eyes staring at you or something like that.

The room with the eyes is the room second from the left at the middle entrace at the top floor of the chateau. When u have ur back turned the eyes o read, but wen u are facing it it goes black, so u cant miss the room
