It's a good job you haven't seen Birkenhead, it's even worse probably.
Liverpool City Centre is looking pretty sharpish now, but I would have to agree on some other areas I've saw.

I hate the way all those p****s wear hoodies, and therefore becoming known as 'hoodies', because now whoever wears one is frowned upon.

And we're getting all that money to waste on digging up the city centre for no apparent reason for the capital of culture!

Add strip-malls where the stores only have Arabic, Farci, Urdu or Chinese on the signs, and menacing looking groups of males on street corners, and you have the Toronto suburb I go to school in. Scarborough FTL.
I'm lucky I live downtown...where people speak english and shop at Holt Renfrew.

EDIT: hoodies aren't really "ghetto" here though. At least not the short fitted patterned ones girls wear ^_^
