For the purpose of this tutorial we are using an image of a frog above:

You will also need:

Almathera Plug-in Collection (free plugins)
http://www.mways.co.uk/prog/plugin.php
download and unzip the entire contents into your Plugin folder in whatever program your using.

In PS:
Layer --> duplicate layer --> layer --> merge down.

Take your selection tool see image:

(IMG:http://home.cogeco.ca/~myee/tut1.jpg)

With you selection tool select the bottom, part of the image..
KEEP IT ACTIVE.

After you have placed your rectangular maquee tool where you want it right click and deselect. Then Ctrl + J 3 times to give you 4 images.

Now select your first image bottom up.. Be sure your image is still selected..

Effects - Plugins - A Puddler

Use these Settings:

299 - reflection
50 - displacement
85 lightning strength
50 - perspective
80 - scale

Apply the above effect to each image and change scale by one in every image so your last image the scale would be 83

Save each image in seqence in gif format into a folder where you will easily find these as we haven't quite finished yet.

Your images should all look something like this now.. (each one being slightly different )

(IMG:http://home.cogeco.ca/~myee/1ex.jpg)

Now go over to Image Ready!

File - Import File As Frames (this brings them in all at once)

Make sure no other images are inside that folder except the ones you require.

Choose Window > Animation. A check mark indicates that the palette is showing.

Using the Animation palette menu
Click the triangle in the upper right corner of the palette to access commands, but you shouldn't need to adjust anything, play your animation to check, save as gif.

You should now have something that looks like this!!

ENJOY! :D

That Clone Trooper's one animation is so smooth...I bet it was made in Flash.

The way you were told isn't the real way, it's a program that I used to have (like a year ago). Made one myself, try and find it later. Alot of people have probably already seen it.

Here's another poor attempt from me:

You really need to work on your frames...badly. If you would just make it looks like the 1st 10 frames or so (before the horrible skip), it wouldn't look too bad.
