I like it...That render is really hard to work with b/c it blends almost too easy into whatever background you are working on. I personally don't see a huge difference in your styles but that's just me. Still a good sig, and come on guys the text isn't that bad...at least you can read it.

Im no professional but I think if you make the line you want, Then Right click and go to 'Fill Over' or something and then select the brush you want It'll do it
And then right click again [In the pen tool] and tell it to delete the selection and the lines will be deleted
