Official Baseball Talk

Ok, well then never mind. No big deals are being made so I guess you can't answer what the deal is o_O

The Padres will do it. Let's face it, the Phillies don't have a good track record when it comes to the end of the season chance. They always choke.
The Padres have a history of choking as well, it is ridiculous. Even if they make the playoffs, they won't be able to make it out of the first round.

Wow, A-rod and Jeter both missed grounders, most likely cost them the game. 4-1 loss to the Blue Jays, but no doubt they'll make the playoffs.

Padres need to get their shiz together and win some games. At least we're playing the Giants who can only play spoiler now, but they're worthless for the most part.

Wow, the Padres are worthless, down 7-3 thru 4 to the Giants of all teams. Chris Young has gone down the drain since coming back from the DL, and the rest of the pitching staff minus Peavy hasn't been nearly as good as they were before the all-star break.

Sucks for the Cubs, but at least the Marlin's aren't calling it a season and are still playing. That was a good outing by Dontrelle, but we've always known he's a very quality pitcher, just had an "off" season. Padres pulled out one tonight, down 4-2 in the top 9th 2 out, come back and win 6-4, maybe a little faith restored for me. We will see how things turn out tomorrow.

Problem with dontrelle is has only had one real good season, 22-10 in '05. This worst season were '06 10-15 5.20 ERA and '04 10-11 4.02 ERA. His other two seasons have just been average.

The problem is with him is the pitching coaches trying to mess with his mechanics, trying to make him more consistent but on the other hand it reduces the effectiveness of his "herkey jerkey delivery".

Argh... hate that ump he has a huge strike zone, especially on the away side of the plate. You Marlins are going down today, BLS  I think the Brew have a great chance to sweep the sorry cards, i hope the Padres beat the Brew crew down. I hope they make it to the wild card as well, Khalil Greene is one of my fav players, Peavy is as well.
