Nope. The guy is clearly an idiot. There aren't even such thing as "pointless" Pokemon. Besides, I was right.
Well, they wanted to make it obvious that it wasn't a plant, because it's not. Rock/Grass would have been cool, but people would have been mislead. At least it gets Wood Hammer.

Let's not blame religion for this. Religion cane be used for horrible things in the hands of bad people. The fault falls on the people that misuse religion for their own personal agenda.

Religion always comes with a very specifically defined moral compass and set of rules. Such things absolutely, positively, most assuredly don't belong in modern politics nor law. Christian dogma is damn-well to blame for the anti-gay things in Kansas, indirectly or otherwise, regardless of whether or not it's only stupid/exploitative people who attempt to keep said laws of old in place.

Both destroyed their country's budget, but only one of 'em did so to pocket the money himself. One is a (poor?) leader dealt a poor hand, the other is a Tyrantrum bluffing his shitty hand to the entire world.
When ya get down to it, religion's purpose is to instill a set of principles, ideals and beliefs into whomever would listen. Religion wants to be law. So yes, religion is entirely to blame just as much as the conscious entities who attempt to carry out their creed's goals.

Religion being law wouldn't be so bad if people didn't twist and tweek it to their personal agenda. Take the Koran for example. Use to it inspired peace amoungst men. Then to get his people to support a war he wished to start, one man long ago did some rewriting of the entire religion and made it into the violent unforgiving religion the Taliban and Al Queda follow today. This has happened to Christianity countless times aswell. A religion that, since the New Testament, promoted unconditional love to everyone no matter their race, gender, or beliefs, has been tweaked to support people who wanted to promote slavery, anti-women's rights, homophobia, and wars on people who were just different. This is why religion is not to blame. I this case you shouldn't hate the game, but hate the player... The players that change the rules.
