Are either of the two games included as rushed as DDD was? Not in story, I mean in gameplay.

Final Mix definitely doesn't have ya trail blazing through worlds. Mainly 'cause there's actually things t' do in the world, places generally aren't just empty dwelling for enemies like with DDD (which I felt was DDD's only real flaw). Though ya might get that vibe for RE: CoM, as the "plot" t' move things along in half of the worlds is just recycled trash from KH1. Some'a the worlds are essentially filler... like with DDD. Definitely CoM's biggest flaw IMO. Enjoyable the first time through, but makes for very poor replay value.

Ah, awesome. To be totally honest I found DDD to be a sorta mediocre game, but I'm sure I'd find a slower paced variant with more level content to be a lot more enjoyable. I think the story is way better too, from what I've read on the wiki.

If I end up liking it, perhaps I'll get the future games in the series. I'm happy this new edition is coming out, I probably would have never gotten another KH game aside from maybe KH4 otherwise. I have an especially hard time getting motivated to play older games nowadays.

DDD is definitely better than mediocre IMO, even with that glaring flaw.

You'll generally find that the pre/interquel games (RE: COM, 358/2 Days, Coded, DDD), bar Birth By Sleep, are lackin' in plot substance, 'specially in comparison to the numbered games. Ya probably will enjoy the mainstay games' stories moreso than DDD, 'specially since with Final Mix (and RE: CoM afterwards) you won't be relyin' on a plot summary to make sense'a things.
