Insomniacs assemble!!

Will point out that theres some right **** in some books.
Less **** than whats on TV

Says the guy with a book titled "The history of farting"

dat irony

Even though anyone can write a book, that's sadly quite true. There're definitely more modern books I'd care to read than TV shows t' watch. Not that I'll be readin' anythin' any time soon.

We have yearly ones in the UK, the set list tends to put me off.

F**K ANGRY BIRDS!!

You can call most of it a load of ****.

I've determined a conclusion to exactly why Pokemon is my favorite game series.

I like variety. Pokemon, aside from the more hidden mechanics such as IV's, EV's, natures, egg moves, etc, which make for a highly complex and enjoyable metagame for the most part, is a fairly simple RPG (aside from the following lol). That's not why I like it. The staggering 600+ species, many of which I really like, allow a lot of cool things for me to be a fan of. With Zelda, for example, I feel like there's not much I can really be a fan of. There's Link, the Happy Mask Salesman, Zelda, Ghirahim, Ganandorf, the windmill guy, and all that jazz, but there's not a whole lot of really notable characters that you can like. Maybe there's like 30 Zelda characters that people can pick from. With Pokemon, you have like 649 Pokemon, and over 300 evolutionary families (too lazy to count this to get the exact number). Also, I enjoy trying out different Pokemon. In pretty much every other game, you're forced to choose from a limited group of playable characters. This doesn't make them bad games at all, but I really like Pokemon's hugeass roster. Pokemon is also a great discussion topic, and not just for the Pokemon themselves, as the games have a large amount of content in general. Pokemon would be a perfect series in my opinion if they changed the main series formula, gave it a better plot, and maybe try some new gameplay stuff.

[strike]That and Pokemon Gold was one of my first video games. ^^;[/strike]

Does that make sense?

Pokemon does have a lot of variety, I like that as well as the ability and challenge to collect all the Pokemon. Its a pretty fun game, you can make it a harder game if you want( you can do challenges like Nuzlocke, monotype, etc.) or play the metagame. Its also pretty fun to replay for the reason that you can use different Pokemon each time.

Fixed

If you are going to like a series for it's characters you should have been playing Fire Emblem a while ago.
Zelda again goes back to mysteries and adventure
I would say that Majora's mask and Gen I of Pokemon are simmilar in the mysterious eerie nature
